I made it abundantly clear when scheduling that I would need to be given Oxytocin in the event of complications which I was told 'of course, no problem!'. I took her on February 9th, received her radiographs and was then made to wait about 25 minutes where they could 'see about the prescription'. Once I was given it, I went through Chewy to order it (on February 9th) and staff neglected to approve the request for two entire days full well knowing Bay was due on Friday, February 13th and I stressed it's importance. I made phone calls, sent texts and was told a doctor would get back to me. I then was told it was my responsibility to upload the script to Chewy (which I couldn't find anyway) - which I then contacted Chewy and was told that was incorrect and they had been waiting for my vet approval this entire time, Chewy even called them and received no response. Regardless if I had the script or not, it was not my responsibility and the office did not prioritize my pregnant dog nor her puppies. I eventually was contacted on February 11th around 4pm by the practice manager who told me her staff did not feel comfortable prescribing the medication anymore after I spent $400 on the vet visit and now wasted two days. Fast forward February 12th - Bay goes into labor and as I expected, needs assistance from the drug; but I do not have it because Doylestown Vet had my hands tied and denied my dog the care she needed for a successful labor. I make an emergency trip to the ER (an additional $900 expense) she delivers 3 deceased puppies and 3 living puppies. We head home and now her labor is stalled again and the ER asked me to use the Oxytocin my vet should have responsibility prescribed me as standard repro practice. But here I am, unprepared because Doylestown chose ignorance over the reality of whelping puppies. I understand vet school and ethics, but if you care for some field experience, there's a big reality check here at my house because of your lack of concern for myself, my dog and her puppies. Shame on you for putting me in this position, stalling to tell me you had a change of mind about my dog's care, and then running down the clock so I had limited options on how to proceed finding her the care she needed. Edited to add, we are now a week out from Bay's delivery and I have had zero follow up from this practice. Ethics? I don't think so.

They worked with our dog on a one on one basis, and my dog is fearfully aggressive which can be a challenge at times. They offer various trainings and they are very involved with community events and various nonprofits. Every product in their store is something that they can discuss with you since it is based on experience. Check out the movie nights they have at the store (that's right, they have a movie theater that you and you furry friend can go watch a movie on the big screen). They also have various art shows at the establishment. Check them out, you will not be sorry!

We couldn't be happier with the knowledge and passion the trainers have. They are patient, always available after class for additional advice and truly love dogs. The small class sizes and absent policy are great too! We had to miss one class and were able to make it up by attending (minus our dog) with another group- we got to watch a different trainer and different dogs go through the class and come home to practice on our dog. We can see why our vet recommended this place when we asked about dog classes. The store is an added bonus too - having our puppy fitted for a harness and getting high value treats without mystery ingredients. Everyone at the store has been so helpful.

I called Lehigh Valley Dog for a consultation earlier today and was left extremely discouraged and…read moredistraught afterwards. I spoke with Gwenevere Marx, and, as she was collecting information about my sweet boy, she immediately shifted to lecturing and belittling me. For context, my pup is a male American Bully. When I adopted him as a puppy back in December of 2024, he had a slew of health complications - his litter was neglected and a few of the puppies passed away, but when we received our puppy, he had to be treated for malnutrition, oxygen deprivation, canine coronavirus, seizures, and parvo. These complications persisted well into my first eight to ten months of having him. My dog wasn't neutered when we adopted him either, and my vet strongly advised me to wait until he was two to get him fixed. I intend on getting him neutered this summer, now that his health has leveled out. I also enrolled him in an obedience course when he was eight to eleven months old, and he passed the course! I have been looking to get my dog enrolled in some training to work on his reactivity. My dog is not aggressive, but he is reactive with other dogs while on walks and has trouble with jumping on visitors in my home. He is easily excitable, which is why I was turning to training as a mode of recorrection of unwanted behaviors. During our consult, Gwenevere berated me over the phone, declaring that my dog's breed was "the top ten most dangerous breeds in the United States," and that I "waited far too long to enroll him in training" and that I "didn't socialize him enough." She also stated that my "vets and breeder were lying to me about waiting until he was 2 years old to get him neutered so the vets could gauge me with bills and my breeder would want me to return the dog after a year because he had grown to be too aggressive." Gwenevere was also distracted on my consultation call, she was on a drive and eventually pulled off to have private conversations with someone else. She even placed me on hold at one point so she could carry on with her private conversation. Once she hopped back on the call, she became quite dismissive and said she was now on her way to train a service dog and told me to call her back "once I figure out what I want to do." One thing is for certain, if this is how she chooses to conduct business during an initial phone consult, sight unseen, I can't imagine how she is with the animals during in-person trainings.
