Independence Propane

I don't often submit reviews, but I felt compelled to share this one. Evidently Independence…read morePropane and Mark Delahanty didn't get the memo that they aren't supposed to care about customer service and whether or not folks run out of propane for heating their homes in mid January. I called Mark in a panic because I'd been trying for a week to get a propane delivery from Amerigas, with whom we've done business for 3 years. We were on automatic delivery, but Amerigas wouldn't schedule a delivery , even though our tanks were down to 13% capacity (and they told us to notify them if we got below 30%). They act like a bureaucratic dinosaur that can't get out of its own way. You have to deal with a nationwide call center and can never reach the same person twice. It was frustrating and infuriating beyond belief. I finally gave up, sent a certified letter to Amerigas telling them to remove their 3 100-gallon tanks, and scheduled a visit with Mark from Independence. Mark was willing to come out the next day. He and his associate installed 3 tanks, hooked everything up, tested for leaks, lit our pilots and was on his way to the next job in the space of about one hour. Independence has remote monitoring and actually talks to their customers...no more mega call centers to deal with, no Covid-19 excuses, no bureaucracy...just good old customer service and American work ethic. ..just when I thought they were extinct! What a pleasure to deal with Mark Delahanty and Independence Propane.

Initially ewe had gone with Fogel's in Nazareth as they installed the tank but we ran into a bind during the winter and fogels wasn't going to be able to deliver in a timely enough fashion. I called around and they were very reasonable in price. I called back the next to schedule the delivery and they had a price jump over the 24 hour period I delayed. They honored the price they initially told me which they didn't have to do and managed to deliver same day as they were concerned for my family. This means they went out of their way same day to deliver in a bad snow storm in January. Fast forward to the end of the summer and they are considerably cheaper than anywhere else. I will always calla round but as long as they are in the ball park I will be ordering propane from Progressive every time!!!

Also, beware of the attack doberman dog and rottweiler that are waiting to charge at you when you finally get to open the office door. There is no warning at all, they just let you walk into danger of attack and could care less that a disabled woman had to hold their business door shut from outside to avoid being attacked by a doberman then run in pain to her car. They did nothing to assist in this dangerous situation and did not even have the decency to even apologize for what was nothing but a traumatic experience just to get my tanks filled. You are the farthest thing from a "man" I have ever experienced. Being reported to the Disability Rights Network for this horrific experience.
