If you are a wine drinker this is the place for you! Step into a self serve tasting room that…read moreallows you to try a variety of wines, and the best part is, you pick! The process is easy- you're given a card when you arrive that tracks which wines you pour. There is a nice selection of white and red wines from many regions. The portion size options are a sample, half a glass, or a full glass. Each display will tell you how much the portion costs, and every wine has a description. They have a simple food menu, which has never disappointed and a casual vibe. Grab a game and relax by the fireplace with your favorite wine and a yummy bite! We really love this place (so much that we came here after getting engaged!) No reservations needed, but it does get busy on weekends. Lentz_explore

While I can appreciate the choose your own adventure / tasting concept and benefits of moving at your own pace, wine tasting is something where I'd prefer to have more of a personal touch. The storytelling and personal connection was missing, and made the experience feel a bit hollow. The space was a nice open hang and there's snacks and games, and there is staff there, but the experience made me realize I prefer a guided human tour for some things, wine tasting being one of them. Prices also snuck up on us a bit, it's easy to lose count of how many you've had with the card reader. I was also a bit bummed to find that if you liked a wine you cannot purchase a bottle on site. But I'm glad I tried it and had fun.

Their shop also had varieties of snacks that would go with a perfect bottle of wine that you'll grab there - lots of options. Service was friendly. On this trip, we had pizza, sandwiches and wine. We sat outside in the courtyard area to enjoy our pizza and beverages - perfect place for a lunch!

First, they are an everything artisan food store: sandwiches to be made or pre-made to-go, a fine wine collection (caveat emptor - they tend to store the finer wines vertically - a major wine faux paus), fine artisan pasta, organic bakery, and a very nice British-style candy offering. Secondly, in the wine room off to the side they have a table and chairs where you can sit and sip your coffee. No bathroom. Only one table. With four chairs. My only complaint, well, not really a complaint per se, an observation. In my empirical experience, the lady who runs the cash register seemingly watches you, as though you are going to shoplift. It's a little uncomfortable, as we are Harvard educated yuppies, dressed right out of the Preppy Handbook, and we don't present ourselves in a sketchy or shifty manner. It's ok, ma'am, that little inconvenience is worth your offerings a couple of times a year. It's Jarvesville, not Twin Peaks.
