    Chicken Marsala
    Joseph S.

We went to TreVi for the first time recently, expecting it meet the 4 star Yelp rating - unfortunately our meal did not. It was good, but I thought it would be better than 'good'. We had the Chicken Marsala and the Eggplant Parmesan. The chicken dish was okay, the sauce was fine as was the chicken. However, the eggplant wasn't the typical eggplant Parmesan, which is typically served in a casserole type dish with alternating layers of eggplant, gravy and cheese. These were round pieces of fried eggplant, with marinara and cheese layered on top. It was underwhelming. The prices are reasonable - as is the food.

Another exceptional visit. Servers are wonderful and food is incredible. Highly recommend as always.

April 27, 2023 - In town for daughter's b-day and senior exhibition at Arcadia University. Amber was awesome and attentive. The place was immaculate and clean. A peek in the kitchen confirm almost surgical conditions!! Got some canned vodka drinks due to PLCB wine and beer only license and no non alcoholic beer for me so went with water. Ordered a parmesan bread app with spaghetti sauce that was not very good or interesting. 4/10 (the bread in a basket with butter packets was better) My daughter got a not now on the menu (that we had told her about when my wife had seen it online when we made the reservation from Florida. The chef (owner?) said no problem. My daughter (22 today) said the BEST penne alfredo she had ever had. I tasted it and it was perfect. The pasta was el dente and the sauce velvety and perfectly cheesy. 10/10 My wife got the seafood fra diablo that was wonderfully cooked and displayed (see pictures) and had some very good product and a spicy sauce that was terrific. 8/10 I got a vegan attempted red sauce pizza with vegetables. (mushrooms, onions, peppers, broccoli, etc) this was very good, but the crust was a bit soggy and wet from the vegetables. I also wished there was at least ONE vegetarian or vegan option on the menu? This was what I settled on when I was told they could not make a vegetable Stromboli without cheese?? 6/10 I will say the food did seem to take an extended period of time for such simple ingredients and entrée? But they were very good. Give them a shot, you will be satisfied and enjoy it.

    Tortellini Rosa

Food was delicious. We got Trevi bread and mozzarella sticks for appetizers. I got cheese tortellini Rosa with chicken . My friends enjoyed their meals, too. The dessert was so good, salted caramel gelato! Service was a touch slow but nothing to prevent me from returning.

We liked this restaurant so much that we decided to have our 27-person wedding rehearsal dinner here. First off, the food is amazing. We tried a few other Italian restaurants around the area, and only TreVi hit the mark. Second, the team makes it really easy to have a nice time. The staff is really friendly, courteous, and speedy. Priced to perfection, TreVi is affordable given the quality and quantity of food given. The space is well-configured with seating on the lower level, a separate section up a few stairs which gives the feel of a more-private space, and outdoor seating through the backdoor. We used most of the upstairs section for our event. We were able to walk around the area freely and comfortably chat / mingle with our guests. For our event, we had the Basic Menu, which included shared plates of Bruschetta to start, then Margherita Pizza, Chicken Parmesan, Sausage and Peppers, Marinara Pasta, salad, and cannoli dessert to end. All of these were tasty and certainly well-received by all who attended. Big thank you to the manager, Gina, who helped coordinate, and our wonderful waitstaff. Over priced and not worth the hype! Served warm water in a carafe that was left on the table, I did ask for a cup of ice but never received it. My husband ordered the crab cakes as the waitress took the order she asked "what would you like for your side" and listed a few choices. My husband said garlic fingerling potatoes, we were absolutely gobsmacked when we saw that we were charged $7.50 for the potatoes that were over seasoned with garlic and parmesan cheese!! The waitress absolutely made it sound like choices for the $22 order for 2 crab cakes!!! It was extremely warm inside the had portable standing fans circulating warm air, it felt like no one cared about anything. We started off sharing the fried calamari, I asked for a bit more tartar sauce, when I finally received it, it was served in a small shot glass. When I received the check there was an extra charge for *Sauce $1.50!!! We travel and eat out regularly, I NEVER have been charged for a bit more for a sauce. It took 68 minutes for a Caesar salad with anchovies and an order of crab cakes to arrive at our table. There was absolutely NO Presentation for the food! The toilet in the women's bathroom didn't seem to be working properly. Overall it's certainly not a restaurant worth repeating as I wish I stayed home and saved myself $85!! TREVI in Glenside PA is definitely a full PASS!!

It came out sizzling but we still managed to scarf it down. We also has arincini, which is not pictured. They were large and fried well with peas and cheese inside. The sauce with them was very good and complimented them well. The tricolor tortellini with wil mushrooms and sausage in the Alfredo sauce was scrumptious and creamy. The chicken parm with manicotti was cooked to perfection. The cheese was ample and melted over the entire dish. The final entrees was the dinner special tomato pappardelle with Dorado and shrimp. It was flavorful and they gave a large portion. The desserts were the perfect way to end a good meal. The tres leches cake is something I would definitely recommend if they have it when you go. Overall, a nice, authentic Italian place with a nice quiet vibe.

It's been a LONG TIME since I've been to a really good restaurant. I would argue there aren't too many around, this is clearly one of them! ANYWAY...this is a charming location with a warm and friendly set up. It's in an unexpected location but very close to the Elkins Park train station. The entry is handicap accessible but likely the bathroom is not. The floor plan is pretty open and they haven't crammed tables and chairs into the space. So the spacing between tables is very comfortable. The pastas are LOVELY. Light (even/especially the gnocchi), perfectly cooked and partnered with very interesting sauces that are beautifully seasoned and topped with very fresh ingredients. The pasta is complimented and not overwhelmed. The appetizer was creative and delicious (baked peach with burrata over asparagus). The dessert was crazy unique and felt like a delicious hug (chocolate cake with strawberry and blueberry topping-trust me it is a must!). Great place for a romantic meal or a special occasion. Their prices are pretty consistent with everyone else but the preparation and presentation are superior. I'll be back for sure!

The food had both highlights and disappointments: * Lobster Ravioli: Tasted very good, although the portion was small. The sauce was flavorful and enjoyable. * Cioppino: This was the standout dish of the evening. It was loaded with delicious seafood, and while the pasta was slightly overcooked, it was still a very good meal. * Penne alla Vodka: The sauce was delicious and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the pasta was overcooked, but we still enjoyed the dish overall. * Caprese Salad: This was disappointing. The mozzarella balls tasted like they came straight from a container, the tomato wedges were not ripe, and instead of fresh basil there was a dark green paste-like topping. It did not taste fresh. * Chicken Parmigiana: This was the weakest dish we tried. The chicken was neither crispy nor particularly tender or flavorful, and the penne pasta was very soft and overcooked. Bread with olive oil was provided, but salads were not included and had to be ordered separately. Overall, this is a decent restaurant with excellent service and some very flavorful dishes, but consistency in the food and pasta preparation could be improved.

The menu has many interesting items and the shared appetizers were a good start. The Arancini was very good as was the Special Grilled Octopus in a Hummus Salad. There were 4 of us and we all felt that the entrees were good but didn't rise to what our expectations were, based on other reviews. The Lobster Gnocchi was good but seemed to be missing the lobster. The best part of the Scallop Risotto was the perfectly seared Scallops but the risotto itself was just ok. The Fiochi di Pere was good but overall didn't have all that much flavor. The Chicken Parmigiana was a very generous portion of chicken and pasta but the Italian seasoning was almost overpowering. I don't like writing reviews like this but like I said, we're in the minority review-wise on this one. Give it a try. Our experience just wasn't as good as what we expected.

I called for a reservation on Sat. afternoon for that evening. Was told to come at 5:30pm (!) because they were going to be crowded later. No additional customers came to be seated outside. A handful of customers arrived for dinner after 6pm. When we asked why we were told to arrive so early, the manager said that the kitchen gets crowded, so they have to limit the number of customers to not "overwhelm" the chef. But at 5:55pm, there were only 3 couples inside and we were outside. We think that it may have been a simple mistake, but we will never know. The second problem is that for the last two Saturdays there, they have been hosting a daycare center (?) with several kids running around pretending to water the plants, playing with the hose, etc. for over 1 1/2 hrs. The outdoor dining area was soaked. Not optimal for a Saturday evening dining with a fine wine. Also, the outdoor music speaker was broken for at least 2 weeks. No music to enjoy. Just the screaming kids. Lastly, our check listed prices that were higher than those on the menu. Normally, we would not have even paid attention. But we were so unhappy already, we asked for a menu. Perhaps we were mistaken? No. We were told that they are raising their prices, but the new menus were not yet printed. We suggested that, to avoid further confusion, they simply charge the prices that were listed on the menu. And this is where the worst insult came in for us. The manager said that if we were worried about a few dollars, then we were......(cheapskates was implied, not spoken). We didn't argue. We wished them well. For several years we have enjoyed La Piovra and before that the Trattoria Sicilian. The food is decent to very good, and the atmosphere had a relaxing, European feel. It has now turned into an active daycare on a Saturday night with an insulting, fundamentally dishonest manager. And an honest apology would have sufficed.
