We got to the restaurant at 6:05 for a 6:00 reservation. We were seated in a matter of a couple of minutes. Our server came over right away. We order immediately. The restaurant only had a few tables that were filled at 6:10. We told the server that we had a concert to attend at 8:00 about 1 mile away. She brought one Caesar salad and bread after 15 minutes. At this point the restaurant was full. I started to notice that other tables were getting their meals before us. The server was very nice. She appologized and said we were next. After an hour and a half were we finally served. The meal was good,but we had to eat so fast that I couldn't enjoy it. We got to our concert with minutes to spare. The manager came over and also appologized and said because it was a busy night. There are no excuses. The least they could have done was to offer a desert for the table. I took my girlfriend out to Trevi last night for dinner and might i say the food was exceptional, the service was great, and the all around atmosphere was quite delightful. My inlaws will be flying in from hawaii next week and i wanted to treat them to a night out in glenside and what a better way to do it then at trevi pizza pasta byob!!!!!! read more

Food was good but the service was AWFUL! The lady that sat us was great but the waitress we had was so rude. She sat us down and then proceeded to go talk with another table with people she knew for almost 30 minutes! We had to tell another waiter we saw that we would like to order. Really poor meal. Two of us had pasta with clams. First it was so hot with red peppers our throats burned. Then they replaced the meals with pasta with clams that were way too salty. Inedible. Taken off the bill. The manager claimed she tasted and we were not correct, that it was our misjudgment. She must think we've never tasted pasta with clams. The service here is consistently terrible. Waiters spend their time chatting with each other or on the phones, rather than attending to customers. The waiters also have no problem lying to customers, for example telling us that "the bread is in the oven," and later bringing out a basket of stone cold bread. The food otherwise is typically passable, but just not worth it for the long wait and apathetic servers. read more

I went into Trevi at 7:00 on a Friday night. The lower area only had one table filled and an annoying singer who was disturbing looking. I did not know I needed a reservation and was told at first maybe they couldn't even seat me then told a half hour wait. I proceeded to ask my husband if we should stay and decided to take our chances. At this point now all tables are empty, three hostesses are staring at us and three servers and a busboy are standing around. I questioned why we had to wait when place empty and was told the tables had reservations we still had to wait. They were very rude so we walked out. As we were walking down the street one of the hostesses came out and said they could seat us but we chose to leave. Now mind you I could have just gone on open table where I could have made a reservation because 7, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45, 8:00, 8:15 and 8:30'were all open then they would have sat us. Disgraceful customer service. We left and went to the best customer service and the delicious food even when you don't have a reservation at Lombardi's Cafe in Horsham. They know how to treat people . Trevi will not last poor management. read more

People who give this place a low rating just don't have a clue. This is old fashioned italian cooking using the finest ingredients. Likewise the pizza is made the way pizza should be made...it is not Dominos. Likewise, Trevi puts the old Rizzo's to shame. Why do you think they went out of business..the place came to suck..everything tasted the same using canned tomato sauce. I recently came to Trevi with my 3 friends, about 1 week ago. We brought wine, and our waitress immediately introduced herself as Anastasis and made it known she knew to bring the wine glasses immediately. SHE WAS RIGHT! We ordered brussel sprouts, which may i say were the BEST i have ever had. For our 2nd course we ordered Calamari and Rosa gnocchi with shrimp, which our waitress told us goes fabulously with the rosa and gnocchi. For Entrees we shared an Asparagus pie and a Smoked Traditional pie both were reccomendations from our waitress! This is not my first time here but first time i really enjoyed myself. Hence, I did not have my children! Everything was great, food was fast, service amazing, and all around environment was relaxing. I will surely be back with family and friends again! read more

I had bought a Group On and went on a Saturday night. We did not have reservations but were seated fairly quickly. The waitress brought us a minimal amount of small pieces of bread which we ate on large plate which were definitely not bread and butter plates. We ordered and it took over half an hour to get our food. The chicken salty bocce was not very flavorful, the portion was small and more expensive than in other restaurants. The gnocchi were bland, we had to ask for grated cheese. the sausage was added to the gnocchi for a $4.00 charge and was only one piece of sausage. The peas were less than a handful in the pancetta and peas. Being a BYOB was a plus. We will definitely not return. read more

Wednesday nights: all you can eat mussels. Stopped in last night to curb the craving for ravioli and was told about their mussel special. We chose marinara for our first round and Fra Diavolo for our second. Both were awesome complements to the PEI mussels and we really enjoyed them. In between our plates of mussels we had the three cheese ravioli in Rosa... Simply delicious. The ravioli were not doughy or firm and the cheese was nice and fluffy, not overwhelming. Definitely recommend stopping in for the all you can eat mussels in Fra Diaviolo sauce on Wednesday nights. During my previous experiences, I've enjoyed the crostini trio, calamari and stuffed mushrooms, along with a classic margherita pizza. read more

First pizza came out wrong and instead of apologizing we were told that we should keep the pizza as there were many others that would go in before ours . The food is inconsistant and tonight just horrible. We waited over an hour for our entree to come out. The Mahi Mahi "special" was dried out and inedible. The waiter laughed and said it looks bad too but did not offer to take it off the bill. The chicken parm was also dried out and the cheese had no flavor. Had a terrible experience. Arrived on a Saturday around 7:30 after reading the menu online, decided this would be a good place to stop and have something to eat. First off, the Hostess was a snippy thing about it, curtly told us 'You really should have made reservations' at least 4 times between us walking through the door and being seated. When we explained that we had not seen 'Reservations Recommended for Friday and Saturday', she simply told us to 'Get a reservation next time' and essentially hinted at we would NOT be seated and served the next time we came in if we did not have a reservation. Thankfully, the waitress that did seat us stressed to the hostess that there was room for us at a table after the hostess spent a good 5 minutes saying she 'wasn't so sure she could seat us' and that 'we need reservations' (Okay, we got it) When we stated we would just leave, the waitress stepped in and offered us a table that was in sight of every waiter or waitress. So, deciding that we really were hungry and wanted to try this new restaurant out, we sat down. Now, we were told our waiter would be right with us, but after 25 minutes and counting waiters AND waitresses passing by us 19 times with no acknowledgement of our existence even after eye contact had been made and I had tried to wave them down, we decided to leave. We were far too hungry and it was becoming annoying. A waiter stepped up to the table beside us and when he finished speaking to them, I asked him if he could please get our server and he didn't even nod or speak, he just walked away. It was then we decided it was time to leave. On our way out I noticed there were other people leaving who had made reservations for earlier on in the night and still hadn't been seated, and the consensus was made that the hostess and most of the wait staff needed some serious attitude adjustment. I have since had food from Trevi, I tried a friends pasta dish and soup, and while it was tasty, I won't be returning. Not if I'm going to be ignored and treated like scum because God forbid I wear a pair of jeans into the place and not have a reservation on a Saturday night. read more

I was a customer of Rizzo's and any comparison isn't really fair. Trevi's menu and food quality is a big step above your average pizza / spaghetti place. I have been to Trevi many times and I think they achieve what they are trying to accomplish. Slightly fancier Italian fare with some standard favorites. I only have 1 complaint and unless you go here often, you probably won't notice.. The MUSIC. They have been playing the same Frank Sinatra "Duets" albums (the worst records ever released by the arguably greatest pop singer of all time) since they opened, on some kind of torturous loop. They also play the overly cliche' Italian / American novelty songs by Louis Prima and Lou Monte etc. Also on a loop. Be prepared to hear the same songs at least twice every hour you are there. I honestly don't know how the employees can stand hearing the same music looped day in and day out. I would honestly give them an extra star if not for the horrendous, repeated music. C'mon Trevi - who can't make fried calamari? Soggy, breading falling off and no flavor? Your time is drawing to a close. Roasted vegetable gnocchi had 1 piece of carrot. I am truly scared to try an entree here because I just don't trust spending $25 for something when they can't get the simple things correct. The wait staff is awesome but the chefs need a lesson or two. Roasted vegetable panini was OK but substitutions threw them off completely. I wanted all of the toppings that come with the chicken cutlet Italiano, but substitute roasted veggies for the chicken. You would have thought that Earth was being reinvented. What came out was a weird hybrid of what I wanted and was decent, although I was charged $3 extra for the broccoli rabe. There is good potential but the inconsistencies and the "close but not just right" of many things will lead me elsewhere next time. On the other hand, if you are not a good cook, you might love it here. Or if you have enough to drink beforehand and bring a good selection with you, it is a decent place to go. "Bring Your Own Basil." This is what our very funny daughter said on the way out, referencing the BYOB. Our meal was sub-par, as both my partner and I ordered basil-pesto pasta dishes, and neither had any basil-scent or flavor. My pesto-rigatoni had a smattering of tiny green bits, and his was positively swimming in green pesto and oil. However, neither had any flavor at all. I wondered if the "pesto" was not supposed to be basil, but some other herb (as pesto can be other herbs), and I'd miss-read the menu. When I asked the server, he assured me it was basil. Next, the manager came to our table and I told her I was disappointed in my dish, as it had zero flavor. I wondered aloud if the pesto was made with basil or parsley, and she said "yes, the basil is the green stuff." AS IF I DON'T KNOW WHAT BASIL IS. She also said, " I think our chefs know the difference between basil and parsley." She DID take the dish off our bill, but she was clearly not gracious about this. To be fair, our server was very nice, generally attentive on a very busy evening, and the quality of the dishes is not his responsibility. About two weeks ago, I went to TreVi with friends, for a parents night out. Our first night there. It started off great with our waitress introducing herself to us, and reading off some amazing specials. We heard the pizza was great so we had a plethora of questions for our waitress. She was very well informed. We received our delicious Caesar salad almost immediately, it was served with warm Italian bread! For dinner we had the Goat Cheese and Onion pizza (as by request of our waitress), which was a PERFECT mixture of toppings. We also ordered the Red White and Green pie. The mozzarella cheese was some of the freshest I've had. My husband had the Penne & Sausage in a Pesto Sauce. SOO good. SOO fresh. Every time our wine ran out, our waitress was right there to assist us and open another. She was substituting in as Manager for the night along with working a large party right next to us and still managed to make us feel like we were at home. The overall night was great. The food amazing and delicious (claps to the Pizzaiola, our waitresses father and the chef, her brother). The environment was comfortable (even when the restaurant was completely full). It seems this place is very different from Rizzo's but in a sense very similar considering this is a family ran business. Happy to have such a great place come to Glenside, I will be sure to be back and try more! Hope to see our waitress running the place in 30 years, just like Rizzo's! read more
