She informed me that she needed a card to hold the appointment and I told her I was just down the road so I would come in and book. When I arrived, no one greeted me. Said hello. Nothing. They just looked at me. I said, im here to book a blow out for my daughter. Immediately a man who was working on someone else began yelling my way that I would need to book extra dry time on top of my appointment and that it was gonna cost some amount I dont recall. He was not polite, he didnt greet me. He was yelling. And he made no inquiries about my daughter or her hair. Little did he know my daughter does not look like me, is not the same race as me, nor does she have my same hair type. But he didnt stop to ask what type of hair she had. He made a host of assumptions and rudely and aggressively communicated them. He also assumed that the extra charge would be some kind of problem for me. I asked him to explain again because I couldn't figure out what point he was trying to make to which he said that he "cant have his girls going over into the next booking slot and he didnt want me to be surprised when they charged me extra". Again very aggressively, not polite, frankly it seemed like he didnt want me to book. I was a little taken aback so I turned to one of the ladies and asked her to just tell me what I need to do. I then booked what I had called for. And left but Immediately canceled when I got home because I just didnt like the vibe and attitude from that man. Today was my second visit to this salon. I usually go once a month for a straightforward root…read moretouch-up. My first appointment with Alexandra went great. When I tried to book her again, she was unavailable, so the system assigned me to Nicole at the same $110 price. I arrived five minutes early. A different girl (who appeared to be a trainee) took me without introducing herself. The owner, Eric, only stopped by from time to time to tell her what to do next--he did not perform the service himself. She applied color to my roots but missed some areas. Eric suggested adding a toner to help blend, and I agreed. She then washed my hair poorly--barely touching my scalp and not fully rinsing the product or color. After the 8-minute toner, they started the blow-dry (Eric did one half, she did the other). They then had to rewash half my hair because color was still on my scalp. The final result was uneven: one half looked fine, but the half she did was frizzy and puffy at the roots. At checkout the cashier immediately charged the card they had on file from my last visit and sent me on my way--no discussion and no chance to tip. Later I received an email receipt for $250. They had changed the service from root touch-up to "full color" and listed Eric as the stylist who serviced me. This is incorrect: * The service I received was still a root touch-up, exactly like my first visit, with only a toner added. Even with the toner, the price should not have increased by $140. * Eric did not service me--he only gave occasional instructions to the trainee. * I booked a $110 root touch-up with a different stylist. * Their website and booking platform list no full-color service for $250. The actual prices are toner $75, root touch-up $110, and full color $157-$200. When I called to complain, the receptionist first said the owner claimed it was full color. I told her that was false and that I have the booking confirmation. She then said I needed more color because of thick hair. I pointed out it was the same hair I had last month for a root touch-up. She apologized but said there was nothing she could do. I have filed a dispute with my bank. I feel scammed and disrespected. They owe an apology for the low-quality service by a trainee, mishandling my booking, falsely listing the owner as my stylist, and overcharging me.

The only reason I continued going to her was convenience after moving closer to the salon, certainly not because the service was worth this hassle. What's even more frustrating is that during appointments, she talks incessantly, often about things I have no interest in hearing, and seems completely unable to read the room. Yet when it comes to basic communication and professionalism, suddenly she's nowhere to be found. Being talkative is one thing, but being unable to respect a client's time is another. The level of unprofessionalism simply doesn't match the service.
