After having shingles along my rib cage which lead to some lingering sensitivity along my bra line (and wanting to exit my post-COVID non-underwire era in favor of some actual support) I figured it was a good time to get a proper fitting, maybe the first in 20+ years? I actually went to Rose not long after a recent fitting at another shop where I purchased a couple of lovely bras that ultimately didn't feel quite right once I wore them for a few hours. I think I got a little swept up in the excitement of finally doing a fitting and how pretty the items were, and didn't fully trust my instincts in the moment. So I decided to try a different shop and found Tres Jolie. Rose's approach felt very focused on comfort and support. She ended up finding me four great bras. I was looking for everyday options that work well under t-shirts and tighter tops, plus a couple delicate pieces that felt special, while maintaining my style. We went through lots of options and sizes and I never felt rushed. The bras I left with were all slightly different depending on the brand and style (2x 36C, 1x 34C, and 1x 36B), which really showed how much she understands fit. It's not just about the numbers on a tag. Did I spend more on bras than I usually do? Sure! But Rose made sure it felt completely worth it. Highly recommend, I'll definitely be back. Very disappointed by my visit here. The lady working here was rude and condescending. I found a beautiful one piece that I really liked and when I asked to try it on, she immediately judged by saying "oh I doubt that'll fit you", implying I was too big. I remained optimistic and said I'd like to try it on anyways. As we got into the fitting room she insisted that I just throw it over my clothes instead of taking the time to try it on properly. She then asked to look at my back and proceeded to make rude remarks implying that it would be too small. Oddly enough when I tried on the piece, it was way too big for me. Aside from the inadequate service, nobody should feel terrible about themselves going into a lingerie store, especially when you're the only customer. The bare minimum ask is that the employees there don't pass judgement on the customer that's looking to buy. read more

Apparently the couple travels to Europe at least yearly and purchase items for their stores abroad. Professional customer service. The cafe owned by the husband did not take my credit card so the wife who ran this shop charged my food on top of my purchase. Tres Jolie is a lovely, well-organized store that stocks high-quality bras, lingerie, and underwear. Rose, the owner, is extremely helpful, no-nonsense, and is an expert at bras and fitting. I came into the store, told her what I was looking for, and she made it happen. She put me into a dressing room and brought me more than a dozen bras to try on. She gave me advice on how to tell if it fit, helped adjust the straps, listened to my questions/concerns, and was HONEST. If a bra didn't fit me, she took it out of the dressing room and brought another. Within an hour I had a few beautiful bras that fit perfectly - exactly what I came for. The bras here cost more than what you'd find at Target or Macy's, but everything in the store is MUCH higher quality than what you get at most places. I had passed by this place many times, but never went in because I thought it might be too high end for me (I'm from East Los Angeles). After a disappointing trek to a bra shop I had really high hopes for, my fiancé and I wandered in this place just to look around. The lady was very nice and helpful. I felt like I could have spent all day there trying on bras until I found the perfect fit. She first asked me what style/type of bra I was looking for as in "is this for every day, do you like lacy bras?.." and I told her I needed one I could wear for work all day. She then asked me what colors I preferred, and I told her black. We began trying on all the soft T-shirt style bras she had (these are the kind I prefer). I ended up trying on about 7 bras before purchasing. She even brought in a bra that wasn't a color I liked but it was on mark down and it was extremely comfortable. Rose, the shop owner of 30 years, is so friendly and helpful. Her shop is never very crowded, so you can browse in peace, or with her guided help. She is more than happy to help you find exactly what you're looking for, in a perfect fit. I appreciated her expertise in finding my size, and her patience as I tried on one thing after another. Although pricier then your Victoria's Secret or Target bras, the quality is phenomenal, much better than any cheaper brand, and the lingerie in her little boutique makes you feel beautiful. Came in looking for a strapless bra or a longline strapless with boning for under my wedding dress. The saleswoman didn't believe that I was the size I am so she gave me bras in a smaller cup and when she saw me pouring out of it she still maintained they fit. It was crazy-making trying to explain to her why this wasnt going to work for me. But then she didnt have what I wanted in my size, so she was probably just trying to sell a bra even though it was clearly wrong. read more

I would never set foot in this place again. The lady helping me was very bad in fitting me. During the process she scratched me with her nail so bad it started to bleed. Did not apologize once and appeared annoyed when I asked for a bandage. She handed me a tissue and said just press on it! I should have just walked out. But ended up buying two bra's that are not comfortable or fit well and found the same bra's at another boutique for $30 less. What a horrible experience. I am about 4 months pregnant and while none of my bras quite fit anymore, I am far from done growing. I determined that I really needed at least one good quality bra that fits me now, and hopefully with a little room to grow. Wizard of Bras was recommended to me by a nurse, but the yelp reviews really didn't have nice things to say about the customer service or the prettiness of their collection. Tres Jolie is quite near me, but I wasn't sure if they carried larger sizes (I was wearing a 38F before getting pregnant). I called and asked, and the shop owner told me that she carried bands ranging from 28-42 and up to an H cup. I was delighted and headed straight over. The shop is small, well-lit and comfortable. There only appeared to be one fitting room and the shop owner and myself were the only ones there. The shop was brimming over with pretty things. The first thing she did was ask me to turn and around show her my back (to see how my bra band was fitting). She also asked where I had been fit last. Since I was already wearing a good quality bra which used to fit me really well, we had a pretty good place to start from. She grabbed a few things off the shelf and we got straight to it. I am not particularly self-conscious or modest, but for what it is worth, I felt perfectly comfortable bearing my breasts in this shop ; ). The shop as a whole is inside a small indoor mall and feels tucked away. The fitting room is in the far back and faces away from the store entrance. Rose, the shop owner was respectful and always asked if she could come in before pulling back the curtain. She did touch me and tug here and there during the fitting (part of the deal with a bra fitting), but I never felt manhandled or awkward. I tried on 4 bras in three styles ranging from about $78-99. All of them were excellent quality. I picked out a ivory/beige bra with pretty lace, but a soft material that I found comfortable. It fit well, and there was some room to grow as well. It was exactly what I was looking for and I was in and out in under a half hour. I am very pleased and will definitely go back. read more

She was totally honest about the fits and would not let me consider any bras she did not feel worked pertly on my body.
