I see Jesika when I go and she is fabulous - talented, professional and personable. I'm always thrilled with my highlighted and cut hair when I leave. What I like about the Park Salon and Barber is that it is casual but nice, family friendly and easy going. All of the staff I have encountered have been helpful and friendly. When I needed a last minute haircut the weekend before Christmas, I remembered and asked her where she went. I called and they were able to squeeze me in last minute. The salon is small and features tropical decor. It is very pleasant, and as the previous reviewer mentioned, has a "Steel Magnolias" feel to it. My stylist was friendly, listened well, and gave great suggestions. She clarified things well before hacking away with the scissors. It was definitely the happiest I've been with a cut in awhile. They use some new product lines I am unfamiliar with, but they smelled AMAZING. Overall, I'd say this is a great place to go, especially to make major changes. The price isn't as high as many salons but still high enough that I won't be able to return each time I get a trim; I will probably come back every few visits.

Had I waited until she was ready, I would've finally sat in the chair 20-30 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start. However, I never got to her chair. As soon as she started her 2nd client, she and her client began to talk about something completely inappropriate and the owner made comments that have no business being said around clients, particularly a new client she had never met. I was so shocked at what I was hearing, I told her I would be leaving and went to another salon. I have no doubt that Kay is a fantastic hairdresser, but between having to wait upwards of a half an hour for my appointment and having to sit and listen to inappropriate comments from her, I am unwilling to give her my business.
