She took extra time to get the blackheads out of my nose and even pluck my eyebrows. If I went the anti-aging route, then she could only use that line. This place is located right off West St, very close to downtown Annapolis. They told me the Natasha was their senior color specialist and would be able to help me with my highlights. Let me start out with that for the price they are charging they should do much better. I previously had my hair done by an Aveda Salon in LA, so I had asked my old hairstylist for the formula that she used. When I went to Natasha I came prepared with pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like, which were pictures of me and with the formula in hand. I even emphasized that I wanted them to look natural. She not only made the highlights look so contrast but they were yellow and I had bleach spots, which I found when I got home. The highlights looked as if they were grown out for a month and when she was washing my hair she rubbed on the area where there was a bleach orange spot that she created. My issues here is that they placed me with "Senior Color Specialist" yet how could someone do yellow highlights and leave you with orange spots. I called the next day and they offered to correct, although Nina made a effort to correct what was done I would not recommend coming here to get your hair highlighted UPDATE REVIEW I was promptly contacted by the salon owners after posting my review and offered to have my hair done again to my satisfaction. I have an appointment to go back, I honestly appreciated their attentiveness to what occurred.

In an effort to save money, over the last few months I have been checking out other stylists/salons. After giving lower end chain salons a try and not getting the results I wanted and not wanting to pay an arm and a leg for a hair cut at a high end salon, I decided to give a local mid-range salon a try. After reading reviews here I opted to go to Young at Talula for Hair. After discussing what I wanted and looking at my hair, she said that she would take care of me and that she did! She did an outstanding job. Might I add that I was able to get a same-day appointment - which was surprising. As others have mentioned the salon is nicely decorated and very clean with soothing music. Having a great hair style does wonders for your image. I'm glad I decided to give her a try. read more

I have been seeing Leanna for years and she has always done an amazing job with my hair. She recently moved to Talula and I could not be happier with the atmosphere and location right next to Blackwall Hitch and hop, skip and jump away from downtown Annapolis. Leanna was previously at the Annapolis Mall and I braved the crowds, parking and general busyness of that location because she is such a great stylist but, this new location is perfect, it is so beautiful, spacious and relaxing. I will continue to see Leanna now with an even bigger smile on my face! read more

LeAnna has been doing my hair for awhile now. She's the perfect stylist. If I come to her with an idea she makes it even better. She's just a great personality. Always friendly and upbeat. And her way with hair is phenomenal. I'm always getting great compliments from family and friends. Her move to Talula is going to be a great fit. No more fighting the parking lot at the mall. Lovely parking behind the building and in front. No need to look any further. This is the spot. read more
