I had a color and trim with Young this afternoon and she did such a wonderful job, I had to share! After letting my old highlights grow out I was nervous about achieving a similar look at a new salon. I really shouldn't have worried because Young took a good look at the pictures I brought and achieved exactly the color I wanted. I thought $150 was extremely reasonable considering she did balayage and it included a trim. The service was fast, efficient, and extremely well done. I highly recommend! read more

I went to go get a haircut to get a fresh transformation. By demand I scheduled my appointment with Young and looking forward to it. I arrive everything is going very well she did the wash and she started to give me a haircut. This is where she lost me. As she was going through my hair she saw a chunk of grey hair in the front and said "Wow you have a lot of grey hair!" "Who has grey hair in your family." She said it so loud in front of someone else that I started to feel self-conscious and ashamed. I went along with it because I didn't want to cause drama, however, what she didn't know was that 2020 was a stressful year for me, so of course grey hairs will pop up. I came here to get a positive transformation, not to be criticized for getting older. I do love the way she cut my hair, but I didn't need that criticism. Will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Went here yesterday for the 1st time, Young was my stylist and she did an outstanding job! I was so impressed she knew the right color even though I just said it needs to be lighter. This is my new go-to spot. To top it off a full foil and cut was under $200.! I was really tired and didn't want small talk and ... I was able to make my hair appointment with Young, the owner, for that day. She saw me right away when I arrived and was super friendly. She trimmed my hair and gave me fantastic new bangs. The atmosphere was fantastic and the salon was pretty. Young was perfect type of stylist, she talked enough but not too much and I didn't have to listen to her jabber on about the Kardashians like my old stylist. Found Talulas on yelp, and decided to make an appointment because of the rave reviews and great prices. The shop is decorated nicely has a relaxed open feel. I came in with some pretty serious roots and a plethora of dead ends. Young was able to lighten up my hair and blend the roots away and trim off all my dead ends while bringing back my layers that I'd forgotten I even had! I will absolutely be returning! read more

I came here after a disastrous time at another salon. The owner wasextremely concerned that I had had such a bad time and was intent on restoing my faith in American hairdressing. She did my highlights for me and a lovely trim. I went back another time after she told me that my hair wasn't quite mended and that she would need another go at it. I was so impressed. She offered me a generous discount so that I would go back and have my hair rectified. What I would say, however, is that the highlights were not done right to the edge of the hair and I looked as though I had about a week's regrowth within a day or two, once the hair had settled. I prefer to have the color done right to the scalp (who doesn't?) so that it doesn't keep costing me and I wonder if that is a ploy to get me to go back sooner........ Other than that, a great salon and a lovely hairdresser who doesn't isist on talking all the time!!! read more

I am suuuuper picky when it comes to salons and I seriously love this place. The ambiance is amazing, and I am always beyond thrilled with my cut and color. Leanna is a miracle worker and may also be one of the sweetest people I've ever met. She listens and asks insightful questions, takes her time, and I always walk away extremely satisfied, looking and feeling amazing. She takes me opinions seriously, but is professional enough to gently steer me in another direction when I am off base. Love love love her and LOVE Talula salon. I went here for the first time and was thrilled - the owner did my highlights and cut and did an excellent job. She came up with a cut that suited me perfectly after I showed her a picture. The bob that I showed her was for a younger person, and she worked with me to modify it to make it more age suitable (I'm 40ish). She also gave me the most natural highlights and lowlights I've ever had. The cut was very precise with texturizing and fit to the way my hair lays. The salon itself is very attractive and the overall experience was relaxing and pleasant.
