It is a lovely, nicely decorated, bright space, with parking right in front. Everyone was pleasant and welcoming, including the desk for check in. I see Jesika when I go and she is fabulous - talented, professional and personable. I'm always thrilled with my highlighted and cut hair when I leave. What I like about the Park Salon and Barber is that it is casual but nice, family friendly and easy going. All of the staff I have encountered have been helpful and friendly. They are constantly cleaning and they have really gone the extra mile keeping everything super clean and safe during COVID. Kudos to this local business in the heart of Severna Park!

I was unfortunately very disappointed with my haircut, especially since I booked with a "senior…read morestylist" and expected a higher level of experience and attention to detail. The shape and overall finish were disappointing, and I left feeling like the cut did not reflect the level of skill I expected from someone designated as a senior stylist.

I felt very welcome the minute I walked in, and was happy with the unpretentious but comfortable atmosphere. I did not have reservations, but they were able to accommodate me immediately. That's not to say they weren't busy, they just had someone who could take care of me right away. A BIG plus. "Coffee, water, a Mimosa?" Yes they have the liquor license that carried over from the previous business. I know it was 5:00 p.m.somewhere but it wasn't even 11:00 A.M. and I had lots of errands to do. Maybe next time . All the stylists that I saw were smartly dressed and had attractive cuts and color. How many times have we walked in somewhere and saw the staff with hair clippies and dark roots? A baaaaad sign when the folks at the salon don't even care about their appearance. Afterall, they are a walking billboard for their business. Anyway, my stylist, Lindsay was very personable and made me feel like an old friend. I was very pleased with my cut and appreciated the care and time she took with what was relatively just "a good trim". Will I be back? Absolutely. Next time highlights AND a mimosa.

There was hair on the floor that clients had to step over to reach styling stations, and some of the interactions among staff felt unprofessional. As a customer, I don't particularly want to hear inside jokes or staff conversations while I'm trying to relax. When I'm spending this amount of money on a haircut, I'm looking for an upscale, clean, and relaxing environment. The haircut itself was excellent, but the overall atmosphere didn't quite match that expectation.

I'm a little late with this review, I had called to make an appointment for highlights and while on…read morethat call I asked for their color specialist. They told me the Natasha was their senior color specialist and would be able to help me with my highlights. Let me start out with that for the price they are charging they should do much better. I previously had my hair done by an Aveda Salon in LA, so I had asked my old hairstylist for the formula that she used. When I went to Natasha I came prepared with pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like, which were pictures of me and with the formula in hand. I even emphasized that I wanted them to look natural. She not only made the highlights look so contrast but they were yellow and I had bleach spots, which I found when I got home. The highlights looked as if they were grown out for a month and when she was washing my hair she rubbed on the area where there was a bleach orange spot that she created. My issues here is that they placed me with "Senior Color Specialist" yet how could someone do yellow highlights and leave you with orange spots. I called the next day and they offered to correct, although Nina made a effort to correct what was done I would not recommend coming here to get your hair highlighted UPDATE REVIEW I was promptly contacted by the salon owners after posting my review and offered to have my hair done again to my satisfaction. I have an appointment to go back, I honestly appreciated their attentiveness to what occurred.

I heard about Levity and wanted to try it since everyone raved about it. So I did, I tried Sam out and just from observation she: - was not personable where she remembered your convos -was more focused on getting another person in the chair -did not achieve my color But that wasn't a huge deal breaker. I came from customer service from my past, if the hair stylist was running late even though they were physically there, you need to at least let the client know. Sam ran 15 minutes late because she was working on a social media video. I asked to speak to the owner and asked him to adjust my hair price that day (more the principle of it) and he said he could not do it and that it was his fault and patted my on the back. Then I was like okay, then he came back and said Sam did not want to do my hair because she thought I wasn't going to tip her or give her the full price of my hair appointment. And you know what, I went through got my hair appointment, tipped her full price and was respectful. But my honest opinion, I was disappointed, and felt that the owner (male husband) was a complete dick and if I could I would give zero stars. Maybe next time someone will think before they treat someone a certain way, especially if they do not know them. I do have to say, there are amazing people who are friendly and kind that work there. However coming from a high end salon which I paid double the price, Levity needs to treat their customer better and be more fair bcuz hubby you are a small fish compared to where I came from.
