I found a countertop and asked questions about veining because the countertops that I picked out had veins. First off the guy came to measure the countertops and they were cut two short and they gave us a hard time about that and then to tell me that I could have my contractor fill in the holes. Second I decided to use the countertops as back splashes and again asked the question about the veins matching. They told me they would match. Not the case at all. When they came to install for a second time the veins do not match the backsplashes after I was told they would. They claimed they never said this which is not true and told me that I had buyers remorse. For a $10,000 job they are doing sloppy work and do not care about the customers. I had asked about a discount because now I have to live with ugly countertops that do not match and will only receive a 5% discount which is nothing. The owner does not care about his customers and only cares about his money. Buyers beware of this place. Also when you walk into the shop the staff look miserable as they never have smiles on their faces, it's like they can't be bothered to get up to help you. Buyers beware of this place.

Exceptional customer service from the start! Justin was very informative, educated us about the process and gave us an approximate quote based off our measurements right away. I came here because of the reviews and I am glad I did! I've had less than acceptable experiences working with various contractors and I wanted to work with someone who was timely, cost effective, great customer service and good quality. I expressed that to Justin and he was so understanding and assured me they are all those things. He was right! The next day Jorge came to my house to take measurements. He was very polite and knowledgeable about granite and overall experience. They say it takes two weeks from the date they receive the slab order you pick out. That is indeed true. I had a very specific granite vision of what I wanted. I went to a few suppliers and found the one I wanted. However, when it came in, the slab was cracked and MGE did not want me to be disappointed as they genuinely cared about the finished product and quality. We sent it back. Then, Kleopatra called me and offered to come with me to the suppliers to help me look at the granite and inspect it herself. I was so relieved and was blown away with how she went above and beyond to keep me informed of everything and to ensure I chose the granite we would be satisfied with long term. We ended up picking Avalon White from MSI. She inspected it and showed me which part of the slab they would use. I was reassured and so excited! Their prices are competitive and cost effective for their customers. The install team was outstanding. Our home is a historical home built in 1884, so the ground isn't as leveled. They stayed for 6 hours reconfiguring until it was perfect. They wanted to ensure it looked pristine and they do!! We love them and would highly recommend MGE to anyone. Matter of fact, I sent two people there already and they are pleased as well. Great work MGE team!

We have a very active, busy schedule and the sales staff set a date to accommodate our schedule and last Friday afternoon, our beautiful new countertops were installed. The installers were knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. We appreciated being able to support a small local business, whose inventory surpasses the big box stores. Their knowledge of their products and their friendly attitudes will have us recommending the service and products, personally returning for any future products that we could incorporate them into.

The wrong cabinets were…read moreordered, they tried to blame us, but quickly found they ordered it wrong, so while our house was gutted we had to wait 8 weeks for cabinets. The island was the wrong color as well but instead of waiting longer on that we decided to keep the White Island. Flooring was installed wrong so it all had to be ripped out and once we paid for the new flooring they would come back to install. We had plumbing issues from no venting in the laundry room to bathroom so you cannot flush toilet while washer is on spin mode. Pipes started leaking all over in our basement. The cheap window installed in the bathroom, don't even get me started. We decided to hire a professional to fix it. Communication between owner and ourself was awful. He swooed us in and told us how important communication was, and how he would be at the job site multiple times only to be non existent unless payment was due then you would hear from him. The only people who were there for us when we had an issue and would make it right was Niles and Rosie. They were our saving grace during the whole shitshow of a 2 year reno that was supposed to be 8 months. Once Nile's came back on his own doing to make things right, we never heard from John again. We never even signed off on the job/ contract. It has now been a year and crickets. I would save yourself the headache and do your research.

Saying it must be so beautiful that I did not want it replaced and must love it -That they said they offered to replace it-false-. They instead told me it was "natural stone" and would vary. That all the people who noticed it "weren't professionals" and did not "understand natural stone" I would LOVE for them to replace this as it will never dry out. I have all the texts and emails to show how concerned I was with this. I uploaded pics taken a few days ago and now the review is completely gone. Could be a glitch but I am updating here.
