How does one rank their hair stylist who has been part of their life for WAY more years than either of us cares to admit???? The fact that Joe Kaule has been with me this long does speak volumes. Is he perfect? Is anyone perfect? Of course not. Would I cheat on my hairstylist? Of course not.
In all these years have I ever come home saying I had a stray hair I needed to trim anywhere on my head that he missed? NOPE!! He readily admits that he's a bit OCD on a Precision Cut and this is one of the reasons I keep coming back to him. When he tweaks a change into my cut, he always takes a long time to make sure everything is to both our satisfactions. I have rarely walked in for my appointment asking him to rework something that missed the mark and in all the years I've been going to him, that's high praise. I also have extreme crazy curly hair that's difficult to work with by any hair stylist's standards.
I've followed Joe from one salon to another over the years and his last 3 moves were with his own shop. He downsized his shop just to relieve the headaches of running a big operation a few years ago and now it's just him and his 2 favorite sidekicks, Wendy and Mary Alice in a small shop down the hallway of Pines Plaza shopping center. If I could point out 1 flaw, it's this current location. The shop itself, although small, is super cute and modern. The Plaza Shops hallway where it sits is dingy and not cute.
I can overlook the location once I get inside Trends and enjoy my catch up chat with my buddy Joey. He's always said if you can't gossip a bit in a hair salon, where can you? read more
