Hey, so did you know the greatest brick-and-mortar hot sauce shop now has an online outlet? In case…read moreyou didn't feel like driving up to Ogden to peruse this one (which you should still do anyway). Well, yes indeedy, Roger has the site up and active and it's one of the neater things online, if you like hot sauce that is. You can find it at www dot burn your tongue online dot com (remove the spaces, unless Yelp updates the URL, in which case you can follow it more readily there). Also, I heard there is a secret code that can find on my hot sauce blog that may do really neat things when you plug it into the cart at checkout. As for this place, one day I will browse the shelves with 700+ sauces on them and not come away with a good couple dozen sauces at a throw...but that day won't be anytime soon. There are also nifty spicy snacks, if you're more into those. Either way, check it out online or in store. Absolutely fantastic still!

If you like hot sauce, this is the place to go. You may have seen walls of hot sauce in the past,…read morebut these guys have walls of individual columns of hot sauce in their wall. What does that mean? Well instead of having the same flavor take up a ton of space like most places, these guys fit nearly 500 flavors into their space. It's crazy. I thought I was fairly fluent in hot sauce brands (I've got around 30-40 bottles at home), but these guys taught me how young I am. I spent a bit of time just appreciating the wall before really digging in and trying to figure out how to explain to my wife that I needed at least 3 more bottles of hot sauce. We settled on 2 bottles and then I got 4. The owner was there and was great to talk with. He made a lot of good recommendations. I ended up getting the Carribean Reef Shark Scotch Bonnet sauce, the CaJohns Serrano sauce, the Ghost Scream, and an Irazu Volcanic Pepper Sauce. The prices were reasonable, and I also got some discount from The Quilted Bear for Memorial Day. Anyone that is in to hot sauce should make it a point to stop here. If you're still wasting your time on that Cholula, Tapatio, or...heaven forbid...Tabasco, you should do yourself a favor and stop by here. They also do tasting on some Saturdays and seem to be active at various events/farmer's markets, so if you have a chance to meet them there, it's worth it.

There's a huge selection of produce, gourds, trinkets, and knickknacks to browse. Great spot to snap some photos and pick up fresh produce. Staff were friendly the whole time, and overall, a really fun fall night out!

I've been shopping at this fruit stand for years because I enjoy supporting local businesses, but…read moreunfortunately I had a disappointing experience on my recent visit. I purchased a $28 peach basket that was advertised as a fill-your-own basket. After I filled the basket with peaches, an employee told me it was "too high" and removed several peaches without asking me first. What bothered me most was not the policy itself, but the way it was handled. If there is a limit to how full the basket can be, I would have appreciated that being explained before I filled it, or at least being asked whether I still wanted to purchase the basket after peaches were removed. I ended up paying the full $28 for significantly fewer peaches than I had originally selected. I understand that costs have gone up and that businesses need to set limits, but clear communication and good customer service go a long way. I've enjoyed shopping here for years, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve communication with customers in the future.

Iron Gate Grill catered our wedding reception and I honestly, couldn't have asked for anything…read moretastier! The food was exceptional...we had so many compliments on the Spinach Salad...the combination of spinach and strawberries with poppy seed dressing is AMAZING!! We also had the Rosemary Chicken and/or Vegetarian Lasagne to round out the dinner! The food was so delicious!! I can't wait to go back and have a meal at their restaurant!! Besides their food being phenomenal Jeremy and his staff are extremely professional, accomodating, and friendly! Whatever we needed to make our day special Jeremy was there with suggestions and advice... I will say Jeremy and The Iron Gate Grill helped made our wedding and reception a dream. It was everything we hoped and worked for! I can't say enough about Iron Gate Grill except "thank you!"

We had Iron Gate cater an event recently. Trying to do the right thing, I tipped their employees…read more20% through their personal Venmo accounts. It was only later that day I realized I had already been charged a 20% tip as part of the original cost for the event. The servers had every opportunity to let me know that a tip was already included, but they said nothing. I contacted the owner, and her response was "we stand behind our employees". Apparently they support their servers taking advantage of people..... she also told me that she couldn't justify refunding the tip I originally paid, which makes no sense. If the original tip money was going to the servers, and they had already gotten their money directly from me, all she had to do was refund the original tip money to me and let them keep what I sent to their Venmo account. Apparently she was more interested in ripping off her customers than doing the right thing.
