That's a pretty big claim, and I was ready to judge it's accuracy. The gas station itself is not impressive-it's old, rundown and dirty. I was looking at the sunglasses display and physically shuddered at the amount of dirt and grime that covered each pair. They've likely been there months or even years without getting wiped down. When a place is that dirty, it makes me question the cleanliness of the food prep area, too. However, I put that thought aside and fully immersed myself in the chicken finger experiment. To my delight, they were pretty good-as were the potato logs. I'm still not sure they are the best in the entire country, though. I'll have to continue my mission to try them all and then I can return and report.

Fruits are fresh local grow, malt (!) is available on request. One size only, sir. We ordered a chocolate malt (I could not resist the memories of my youth in the '50s when every shake was hand-scooped), a raspberry shake, and a strawberry shake. We cashed in a hundred dollar winner lotto ticket and asked for a hundred one dollar tickets out of the fullest stack the fella working laughed and said he'd never heard of that strategy. But it didn't work as we only returned $76. Good food on the cheap if you're trying to save a buck.
