Runners brought out the food - which overall was very good - but there was no one asking us if we wanted more drinks, etc and I had to ask for my bill. Also, I must add we were there for an early dinner and the place wasn't crowded at all. Nice sport bar vibe right next to the light rail makes this a nice location. After walking the light trail one Sunday afternoon, we began looking for a place to eat and stumbled across this place. One person in the group had rated here before so we figured we would give it a shot. Upon entrance, we were quickly seated and taken care of. We sat inside but the outdoor area looked nice and perfect for looking around on a busy Sunday. For starters, I opted to try out the Loader Potato Skins. The came out relatively quick and tasted pretty good, but they were nothing special for the $13 price tag. For the main course, I opted to eat the Tremont Burger. The burger was good, well sized, and held together throughout eating. I got the tater-tots as well which were actually really good and probably my favorite part of the meal. I was in the area for a work lunch so I didn't snap any pictures. When I walked in I thought the vibe was great and expected the food to match. The food severely lacked quality. I ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and it was the most burger tasting chicken sandwich I've ever had. Yes......you read that right. The chicken itself looked like an oversized chicken tender. It didn't fit the bread and the cheese only covered the middle. The pickles tasted like a cheap store brand right out the jar. And they put a whole heap. It was supposed to be "tossed in buffalo" but it was more of a drizzle and tasted more like a sweet & spicy sauce. The Parmesan tots were cold and were nothing special. Unfortunately, the service wasn't much better. The waitress was nice but she was slow and wasn't attentive at all. The whole experience left little to be desired. The bang bang sauce is on the side so you can add to or dip each bite. They have some of my most favorite fries in Charlotte - well seasoned waffle fries. Great vibes and great staff! My friends and I came for a Michigan game, and it was full of Michigan fans which is a fun environment to be in. An overall solid pub/bar food spot. We went on a fairly busy Saturday night, but were able to get a seat outside quickly. Staff were friendly and attentive. The prices aren't bad for the quality of food that you're getting. The biggest attraction is the location to the light rail and nearby shops. But if you're looking for an easy lunch or a no-frills dinner, I'd consider checking this place out. The best thing we got was the burger. Big, juicy and flavorful. The meatballs would be a pass for next time, fell apart and was more like wet ground beef. It's a great location with a decent size parking lot that's in walking distance to many other restaurants, shops and the Jenni's ice cream! I went to Tremont for the first time last night to try out their Queen's Feast menu options. I got the fried green tomatoes which were delicious, as well as the caesar salad, chicken pasta, and warm chocolate fudge brownie. The food was decent but their drinks were a bit pricey considering their simplicity and size. My friends and I had a reservation but they sat us outside.. it was fine considering it was a warmer evening and they provided heaters, though I was a bit upset considering I had called in advance. I've seriously been sleeping on the food here and now I know what a mistake that was. Despite Southend's fast rise as one of Charlotte's premier night life destinations, it sometimes feels like they have a lack of sports bars. A place with plenty of TVs where you can catch a game while drinking cheap beer and eating your favorite game day snacks. If you are looking for a place like this then Tremont may be worth checking out. Located in the space previously occupied by Big Ben, Tremont provides a neighborhood bar vibe with no fancy bells and whistles, just good bar food, drink specials, and a plethora of TVs. Just because the food isn't fancy doesn't mean it isn't good though. In fact it's excellent! As an appetizer I really loved the spicy Buffalo cheese curds, and their burgers and sandwiches are very tasty and well prepared. They offer daily specials on everything from half priced wine to $10 cheesesteaks + side, and they host game nights, trivia, and all kinds of fun stuff. With all the new additions to the area it is easy for an unassuming place to fly under the radar, but I would encourage anyone to give it a shot! read more

My wife ordered the blackened salmon with tater tots and veggies and I had the south end pasta. Although there were some hiccups, I loved this place. The food was great!!!! My husband and I went to Tremont to watch the first preseason game for the Panthers. When we first arrived at the restaurant we were told to go to the front entrance to be checked in. An older gentleman walked up to the desk he did not greet us and he did not ask how many people would be dining. He just grabbed two menus seat them on a table and walked away. The waitress was prompt on taking our drink and food orders. She made suggestions regarding the menu items and was very attentive and polite. The lobster grilled cheese I ordered was not very appetizing so I only finished 1/3 of the sandwich and ate a few waffle fries. The ingredients in the lobster grilled cheese seemed more along the lines imitation crab meat with an excessive amount of bacon smash between two pieces of toast. The drink was watered down so I asked for the drink to be taken off of our ticket. My husband had the Bang Bang wings which were just ok in taste. Overall our experience as a whole was a 4 out of 10. I definitely will not be patronizing this restaurant again and I would not recommend this restaurant to any friends or family. read more

Came in for lunch, not busy - maybe a couple of other tables and a few people at the bar. Our server (I wish I grabbed her name) was more than wonderful. Very helpful throughout our time. Food was good - got the chicken Caesar wrap; felt a little dry but the sweet potato fries were wonderful. The worst part (and biggest reason for 3 stars) was that it took about 30 minutes for our food to come out (a wrap and beef dip sandwich). We had to have the waitress close us out before our food arrived and asked for a box to take more than half the food with us. Y'all are located in a prime spot for lunch (and open for lunch) so should prob get the tickets moving a bit quicker so your customers don't have to take their lunch to go after sitting for so long (for a sandwich/wrap). read more
