I really wanted to ask if that was it after literally 5 seconds of a scrub. The manicure was worse - no massage, not even a double coat (it looks like there is no color at all) and she was aggressive and made my thumbnail bed bleed with the cuticles I believe. Oh - that stung a lot and she said nothing. That is a first for me - I've never had my nails bleed or been treated so badly. From the moment I entered, this person had attitude and threw my shoes in the corner. She did not apologize and when I spoke to the manager and she requested that the person, Elaine, apologize but then there was more attitude - shocking! I have no idea why this person was in a terrible mood. I had hoped that they would make it right by offering a re-do or to give me a pedicure or pampering treatment another time for free which might have had me come back to them - but they didn't. At my request, they refunded the manicure but they lost two customers (my friend was with me). I have used them for 4 years and found them 'okay' as it's a good location and convenient for me but this is the push I needed to find somewhere else that has good service. It wasn't a good experience at all - I left quite upset and wished I hadn't entered that day. The manager said the service was still given even if the attitude was poor when I asked what she would do to make this right (she said she'd speak with Elaine afterward). However, attitude is PART of the service AND I didn't get my feet scrubbed, I didn't get the hand massage and I didn't get the second coat of varnish. The only comfort was there were two other staff who overheard the whole thing and they were supportive.

Finally, a Bluemercury location that makes the shopping experience pleasurable!…read more I can almost roll out of bed and be at the Greenwich Bluemercury location. Then there's Bluemercury in Darien, near other places we frequent, so that's an option. While a bit of a hike, we also have New Canaan. But no! None of these locations are worth a visit. I explain why below. Finally, I found a Bluemercury store to love! The Rye location is a bit of a trek and not an area I usually go to, although there are many cute shops. It's worth the drive. The Manager, Donna, knows what she's doing. The layout of the store looks like it was touched by the expert hands of a Feng Shui expert. The dream-team she assembled and/or manages strikes the perfect balance between assisting but leaving me alone to explore. Donna is delightful and super helpful. I think the Darien, Greenwich and New Canaan need Donna desperately. For now, I'll just drive to Rye. Greenwich is crowded, and since Tiana left years ago, it has never been the same. It's the usual, "let me know if you need any help." Then they hover over you as you walk around and try products on. Ugh! I prefer Sephora up the block where they leave you alone. Guess where I spend more money too? Greenwich Bluemercury carries a few brands that I love, but I'm in and out as fast as possible. Frankly, if not for a generous friend who gives me gift cards, I'd never bother to stop in. At least the new Manager is better than the former who was rude and snarky. Darien is a bit better, but not by much. There is a young guy who works there and is super sweet and helpful. You get more of that overcrowded set-up with workers who follow you around and repeatedly offer help. New Canaan is uppity and rude, with no reason to be. You get a literal stare down when you shop. I won't ever step foot in that store again. Is the UK main office aware of this? Is it the same poor experience in the UK? It's possible that people don't care so much about the things I think are important, like customer service.

Possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The sales people literally…read moreran away from me and did not want to assist me. I was going to buy something but ran out to Benefit Cosmetics across the street! What a relief. Will never step foot in here again!!

The music was that of something you'd get a massage to. My friend and I were getting a pedicure and manicure. The nail polish wall had all kinds of signs of up-charges for "better quality" polish. That was a sign of what's to come. The nail technician was sweet. She pointed out the different spa packages on the wall. $70 was the starting price. (For just a pedicure with callous remover, maybe some sea salt scrub. Not much you're getting added) I was kind of appalled by such a steep price. I then decided to go with just a pedicure. I cancelled my manicure. That's when I could feel the demeanor of my nail technician change. My pedicure took less than 20 minutes. She didn't really get off extra cuticles. The polish was put on really thin and I'm not too sure she even put a top coat on. She rubbed my feet for like 30 seconds each. No alarm set for time. Ran me $38 for a basic pedicure. $6 for polish removal. After tip, that was a $52 disappointing experience. My friend's dip nails turned out really pretty, but chipped after walking literally one block away.

The gel manicure is a mess, she didn't cut or clean up my cuticles, she didn't ask what shape I wanted, and the gel is all over my fingers. This cost me $60 after tip. I will not be going back.

She didn't even care to look at the affected area, only stating, "If I document anything you'll be charged for a medical visit.." I've also had Botox shots before where the lines in between my brows were completely eliminated. In this case, they are still visible after a few units of Botox. When I asked her about it, she said there wasn't anything further she could do. I also found the service to be "militant", people talking over each other (really disrespectful). I expected them to say just come back and they will take the last one off. Instead, I was told it would be ANOTHER $125 plus another co-pay. I think that is completely unreasonable. Long story short, i saw someone other than Dr Treiber and when i asked why, they said " Well, everyone sees this woman first". You will have to come back another time to see the Dr. I explained that i had taken off work and wouldn't be able to do that. After a lot of crazy happenings behind the desk they said "you can come back in 2 hrs and the Dr will see you then". Ok, so i went back. Saw the Dr. She wrote down 2 other Dr names that i can see for the dark circles under my eyes and then proceeded to drum up business for Botox and incredibly high priced serum. So, stupid me, already there, i was like.... Ok, lets do botox and buy the serum and see if that helps before i go to these other Dr's whom i didn't know. Upon checkout they promptly gave me an almost $900 bill which they UPON THEMSELVES, NEVER EVER UTTERING ONE WORD ABOUT IT said "we took off $50 off of the $350 consult fee!!!!!!! So, in utter disbelief and the fact that i simply could not walk out without paying, paid. I NEVER EVER SHOULD HAVE PAID. THIS DR AND THE STAFF SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES!!!!! Other Dr's that i had called prior for appt's mentioned a consult fee but if i were to schedule whatever with the Dr, that the fee would be used towards treatment. Dr Treiber should retire and move to Florida and get out of business!!!!!!!!!
