Ineffective customer service (at best, w/ the exception of Lana.) I told Dr. Kosann that I was concerned about a red rash I had developed on my face. She didn't even care to look at the affected area, only stating, "If I document anything you'll be charged for a medical visit.." I've also had Botox shots before where the lines in between my brows were completely eliminated. In this case, they are still visible after a few units of Botox. When I asked her about it, she said there wasn't anything further she could do. I also found the service to be "militant", people talking over each other (really disrespectful). And I won't be going there again. They don't know anything about how to relate to patients. It's a very superficial office. read more

I visited the office for two things, something suspicious on my arm and some white spots on my chin. She treated my arm and said she would remove one spot on my chin and if it was what she deemed benign she would remove the rest (which was 3-4 more) but would be a charge of $125. I agreed and paid for it plus my co-pay and was on my way. I noticed later that there was still one white spot on my chin. I called the office and explained my situation. I expected them to say just come back and they will take the last one off. Instead, I was told it would be ANOTHER $125 plus another co-pay. I think that is completely unreasonable. I've had amazing experiences with Dr. Lederhandler each and every time I go for an appointment. She does amazing, meticulous, perfectionist work and is a true master of her craft with an artistic eye for detail. I've had filler and Botox with her, and she always always makes me look natural -- just the best version of myself! Only thing I would suggest is allowing patients to purchase half vials of filler, or using half, seeing how it settles and the patient likes it after the swelling subsides, and then allowing him/her to return two weeks later for a touch up with the remaining amount. I saw Dr. Alyson Levine for cosmetic work. I thought her work was very average and quite expensive. Honestly, you can get the same done in NYC for a 1/3 of the price. Again however, it was the quality that concerned me. I looked her up and noticed she did her residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn. This does not make any lists of "best dermatology residencies," that I could find. read more

Worst worst experience ever ! Jackie was so rude and unprofessional, refused to answer questions about her services and got angry! I picked Dr. Levine because she was highly recommended by a friend. This is going to sound weird because I really like her, but somehow over my two visits she managed to convince me to inject every part of my face other than what I came in asking for, which is my under eyes. To her credit, she took one filler off my bill when I was crying because I had to pay a fortune and didn't get the results I wanted because she injected my cheeks not my eyes, but then she accused me of being unclear about what I wanted! The new fine lines under my eyes are what I have been obsessing about for months, that's literally why I came to her... and her assistant even had to admit I said it to her, because I did. Not only did I say it, I said it multiple times each visit, I know I wasn't unclear!!! This is when I started to get really mad. And to clarify she pointed to the same exact spot (right on the eye socket bone) that she said was technically a part of my cheek earlier, and said it was my eye. And she pointed WAY lower and said THAT was the cheek... where I have no fine lines at all... I'm 27, I actually love my facial bone structure and had no problems there, that's where she injected... and now the lines under my eyes are still there, but now I have more pronounced cheek bones? Apparently it was an error in communication. It doesn't look bad at all it looks beautiful, but the fine lines I came in for in the first place are clearly still there and I can't afford to spend any more on fillers for a while because unfortunately I unknowingly spent $850 on my lips. I said maybe I wanted a little in my top lip could go either way, but decided sure why not. I had no idea what I was getting into though. Also I still have no idea what she even put in my lips, but when I got the bill I was supposed to know it was $850, because we talked about the prices of under eye filler. I was not aware that they were putting in a full syringe of lip filler, I said I want a little bit in my top lip. It should have been thoroughly explained to me that the vial for under my eyes (that never ended up under my eyes) wouldn't be enough to put a tiny bit in my lip, and I would need to purchase a whole syringe of lip filler for $850. The doctor tried to make me feel stupid for not knowing she put a whole syringe in my lip. It was a disaster. So basically sure I got comp'd for plump cheek bones that was generous but I'm still screwed. At the end of the day, I've spent basically a couple thousand dollars being treated by Dr. Levine, and I still have the same fine lines I had when I walked in... the only ones I came in for... but the rest of my face looks better than ever. I have no idea how this could have happened. She literally injected every single part of my face other than what I came in for and afterwards said I could still use more. Then she told me the lines under my eyes aren't a problem. Lady that's literally why I came in I clearly think they're a problem, who are you to tell me they're not. And to further add to my confusion ladies and gentlemen, at the end (after she insisted we should go our separate ways because I'm too difficult) she then said those lines I'm worried about can't be fixed at all... she said they can't even be softened... soooo WTF then tell me that in the beginning??? She contradicted herself multiple times, she definitely said she can soften them but also that she can't, and then that no one can... I told her I know that's inaccurate because I've read up about it and my best friend knows a lot about it, it can be done. So then she tells me then go my friends doctor, (who is in LA, that's why I came to you, but thanks) she can't help me, have a nice day... I really liked her I have no idea wtf just happened I'm so confused. Seriously, all I know is I went in wanting my fine lines over my eye socket bones softened and got everything else (cheeks, forehead, lips, angry 11s...) and idk how I could have been more clear, she completely mislead me and then treated me like I was wrong. Then she told me she couldn't help me with the actual issue I came in for, but not until after I gave her so much money. It's such a shame, because the rest of the work is so beautiful and now I have no idea where to even turn because I wish I could go back to her but she doesn't want to or can't help me. I'm so confused. And sad. I feel so bad if I was confusing, but I really know I wasn't. I couldn't have been, nothing was more clear to me than those lines being the entire reason I came in. Some things I will just never understand, I guess. I feel very icky about the whole situation, I can't believe I've paid her so much and the lines are still there, idk what to do now... This was my first time going to see Dr. Kosann, after choosing her from a list of covered dermatologists, and I am so glad I chose her! The waiting room is bright, the patient rooms are nice, the staff is incredibly friendly, and you are not kept waiting a long time like with many experiences I've had in the past. Dr. Kosann was immediately warm and professional. She carefully listened to all my question and concerns, and explained everything so that I understood thoroughly. I left feeling very confident in her "plan" for my skin. I highly recommend Dr. Kosann, and her wonderful staff! read more
