Their customer service is awful and they advertise 2 day shipping for a very high cost, but they do not mention that they can take up to 10 days to print the book so your 2 day shipping is actually up to 12 days. When I reached out they said the book wasn't printed yet. Then I asked for them to change my shipping to regular since it would not be delivered on time and then all of a sudden the book wasn't printed yet printed and no changed could be made. Worst customer service and refuse to help when you reach out and they advertise 2 day delivery with no comment of 5-10 day production of said book. Save your money I highly suggest that schools choose a different printer for the yearbooks. read more

Horrible service, why would you continue to send emails out to "place your order" before end of school year. Then it takes almost 2 weeks to print, then they try to charge ridiculous high fees for "overnight shipping" that is actually closer to 3 weeks because of delays. The only option is then to ship to the school which will get delivered after school is out. Why advertise and send emails that my kids will get it before the last day when you take weeks to print and ship. Then no option for any refund or discount. Let hope I'm able to get it and not out money for them. read more

Really terrible software editing design. I've been going bonkers uploading and reuploading pictures (now with duplicates). Adding custom pages - the automatic is 2 photos per page!!! Then I got stuck in some page builder hell. read more

The worst website and ordering experience. I've placed my order 4 times and had it cancelled 3 then just found out this last order can't be shipped to my house and I am expected to cancel and reorder on the 15th if I want to to be shipped to my house. It had the wrong year listed with the wrong school yet there were no other options on the school. I am so over this and wish there was another choice. read more

Worst interface and website. Constantly has issues uploading photos and can't make it through the custom page process without it resetting and taking you back. It's literally 2026. AI could make you a better webpage in 2 minutes so why is your site garbage year after year? read more

Worst Experience ever! We ordered yearbooks for our school. Received 4 boxes of another schools yearbooks! We had pages missing and misprints, and 20 books missing. They did not care to fix the problem. And we had students who paid for yearbooks and now still don't have them! It's September of a new school year! They ignored us in May and through the whole summer! They lied and said they'll expedite the issue to reprint and resend! They did none of these things! Horrible horrible never using them again! read more

Our school has been using Treering for over 6 years and I have recommended them to many other school in our area. They are great to work with and don't lock me into a contract and make me buy a certain amount of books every year. Our families can order a book anytime, even years later. This is so helpful when a kid looses a book or parents forget to buy one even though I sent them 1,000 reminders. Parents also love the two free custom pages that just print in their child's book. Yearbook distribution day is my favorite day- the kids are so excited to get their book. Our school even makes money as we are able to add a fundraiser amount into the price and change that amount in our account anytime. They give 10% off if you order before Sep 30 too! read more

The app does not work well at all and the company takes at least 24 hours to respond.

It breaks my heart to read negative reviews from parents who don't understand how Treering works. Treering provides all the tools needed to create a book, but ultimately the final design is a result of the team (which often includes students). Parents missing the purchase deadline and then expecting a late order to be delivered the next day is totally unrealistic as well. I've had an amazing experience with Treering for many years. I appreciate having full control over all aspects of my book- page count, cover, orders, due date, etc. Families love being able to personalize pages. Plus, we make money on the yearbook every single year. The customer service team has always been super helpful. No company is perfect, but I appreciate the efforts they go through to make things right. Unlike past experiences with other companies, I've never received a surprise bill or felt taken advantage of by deceptive practices. read more

I have 9 years of TreeRing Yearbooks for each of my two boys from Kinder to 8th grade. I have LOVED the FREE custom pages and they have really enjoyed them when they first arrive and many years later. I do books for their sports and activities as well and our family and their teammates really appreciate having those photos in a beautiful book that will last a lifetime. read more

Not the experience I was hoping for this time. I recently ordered my son's yearbook and selected his current teacher from the list provided--only to later find out I had apparently chosen the wrong school year and school. The confusing part? His teacher was listed as an option, even though she teaches at the elementary school, not the primary school he attended last year. So I'm unsure how that even happened. Thankfully, one of the yearbook moms caught the mistake and told me to call in to get it transferred to the correct school. When I did, I was told not only could they not transfer it, but they also refused to refund me. As a single mom, that really doesn't sit right with me. Sure, maybe it was my mistake--but if the system allowed me to choose a teacher from a different school, something about that process is broken. I just expected a little more understanding and flexibility. Disappointing, to say the least. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Ordered a yearbook overnight so it would be in time for the last day of school, paid $40 for overnight, didn't come the next day. I contacted customer service four different times that day, before their 6pm cutoff, and emailed 2 times, and still on the third day have never heard from them, no yearbook (was my kids last day at that school) shipped two days later, and they refuse to provide a UPS tracking number. Epic customer service failure. read more

I ordered a yearbook for my son back in 2023, I guess I forgot about it. When I recently checked my current yearbook order I saw my order from 2023 and realized that we never received the yearbook. Even though my son would have remembered if we got a yearbook we still checked the entire house, also my USPS daily delivery updates, my emails and did not find any proof of delivery. In the past my son had complained to me about me not getting a 6th grade yearbook because he was overflowed to a different district and he wanted one so he will remember his classmates. The tracking number was also no longer working also since it's been more than a year. I contacted Treering and they offered a 40% off a reprint, I did not want to pay anymore since I paid $47 for nothing. It sounds like there are trust issues too, does parents typically scams to get a free extra copy of a yearbook? who would even do that? I also checked my USPS daily delivery updates and did not find anything from Treering around the date the yearbook would have printed. No delivery alerts too from the Treering website unless I already deleted my emails. I am out $47 and yet my son got scammed by not having memories of his 6th grade. It is also hard to keep track of yearbook order, you order it months in advance and you tend to forget you ordered it. I had to check my order from October 2024 this March 2025 because I was unsure if I placed one that's 5 months. It takes longer to receive the yearbook. read more

I tried to order my son's yearbook through my treering account that I have used for several years. The current yearbook wasn't showing up, only older yearbooks. It should have taken me 10 minutes, but instead, it's been a week long headache. Still Not Fixed. read more

This was my first year with TreeRing, and of all the programs in the past 32 years, this is by far the best I have ever had to work with. My student team and I love TreeRing. The interface is so easy to use, indeed, the "user-friendly" cliché has to be used here. Everything you need to be able to build a book is there. If you don't know how to do your own layouts, they have many to chose from and many themes already built in. The support is also phenomenal. Because I was new, I had a few questions and help was available and prompt. TreeRing also updates quite often to improve the platform and I noticed improvements as we went through the year. As I mentioned, the interface is so easy, it is almost intuitive as some of the features are recognizable if you use either Apple or Windows platforms. The awesome part about this product is that you have one final deadline and can tweak your pages as much as you want. Of course, you set yourself mini-deadlines, and can "lock-out" your team from many any changes to completed pages, and, if you want to shift pages around, you can. Add pages? Yup; delete them? Yup. I had to add two pages for a special event, and was able on the program to change my deadline which only added 2 extra days, and the book came in even earlier than was posted! The price per book is also a no-brainer. It's a print on demand product. So many years of being in the red, I am now in the green! The printed books are also very lovely. I received so much compliments over the quality of the book and that the pages felt high quality. I highly recommend TreeRing. So, what are you waiting for? TAKE THE PLUNGE! You will thank me in a year from now. :D read more

They left my son's photo out of the year book! We ordered 4 custom books and they refused to reprint them to included his photo with the rest of his classmates. Not only do I not have my child's picture in his custom yearbook but all of the children in his school that also purchased custom books do not have a photo of my son in their books. It is completely unacceptable. How could a company claiming to provide a service of cherishing memories leave out a student and refuse to fix their mistake? My son is NOT forgettable and any company working with children should be held at a higher standard. read more

Horrible business. I urge schools to stop working with this place all together! They are in business to make your life miserable. 2 years ago, I ordered a year book that never came, when I called, they said it was shipped to the school, but I had the whole school search for it to be never found. They declined to issue a refund or resend the book. Last year, I paid for overnight shipping for a year book that came in the middle of July...and now, I ordered a year book 8 days ago for a 3 day delivery that never came. Horrible! read more

Let me start by saying how excited I was last year when our school chose an online web app to allow the kids to obtain signatures from one another when schools went virtual at the end of the school year. This tool seems amazing, however, it needs to be rebuilt in order for it to work well for families and their kiddos. We went with this software again this year and ran into the same darn issues AGAIN. This time--$60 later. As a school, you need to know that the parents run through these hiccups before you go with this software for the yearbooks. FYI: It's NOT intuitive that you HAVE to buy extra pages for your kid's quotes that they spent an hour or more on answering questions. It's NOT intuitive that you HAVE to buy extra pages for your kid's signatures to print. It's NOT intuitive that you HAVE to go in and ADD ALL OF THE SIGNATURES YOURSELF in order for the kids to RECEIVE ANY SIGNATURES. Are you Freaking kidding me??? As a parent, you register, you buy the yearbook, and choose to buy custom pages and then you 'think' that you're done. However, you still have to go back and try to be a mind reader and a software professional in order to actually receive the product you think you already bought. How the heck is the student supposed to know that they have to go in and add all of the signatures themselves and their quotes themselves in order for it to print? Oh and get this, you don't even receive your yearbook your last week of school when your kids are actually in school. Wow, crappy software. Isn't the whole point of getting the yearbook to have it to share/reflect with friends before the end of school? YIKES. No Gracias. read more

Horrible service and doesn't make purchasing a yearbook any easier. There is no number to call. I wonder why!?? I emailed them twice and they do not get back to me. absolutely horrible, each image has a whole two pixels, and it is insanely laggy. for your life, you can't rescale an image because the button has a hitbox of a molecule. not only this, but i had a crazy revelation that when i touched anywhere on my page, it would think of pressing on the other side of the screen. I was nervous when I took on the role of chief editor for my children's elementary school yearbook. Treering's software took so much of the pressure off, providing me with the tools to stay organized and create an amazing yearbook for our school! If I could give them 0 star, I would. I ordered two different yearbooks with different customize pages for my two kids and they ended up printing the same yearbook twice. I called and they said I would need to place an order for a new one. The only thing they can do for me is give me a 40% discount on the next order but why do I have to pay more money for a yearbook that was misprinted? It's not like it was cheap. $25 for the wrong yearbook and now I have to pay more?? I absolutely love Treering. They are nothing but accomidating with anything I needed and all customer cares and needs. Yearbooks can be beautiful if you put the effort into them. They have amazing features that you can utilize to enhance your school's theme. I designed yearbooks for 7 years and the last company I used was Treering. I'm so happy that myself and another parent chose to consider them for our yearbook company. I can't say enough good things about Treering. Their customer service is excellent. Treering makes your yearbook experience super easy. Love the 2 extra custom pages. You can buy more at a great rate. Warning yearbook advisors. Do not use this company. Treering missed our promised delivery date and then (even though we paid for 1-3 day expedited shipping) told me they "couldn't guarantee" the books will be delivered before students leave for the year...what good is a yearbook that isn't delivered until after students graduate/leave for the summer? As the yearbook advisor I can't rave enough about TreeRing. This is the second year using their services and I can't thank them enough for the improvements made in the short amount of time I've been using them. What really drew me to use their services was 1) no contract or minimum purchase required 2) it's an echo friendly company that prints in recycled paper and plants a tree for each book sold 3) they offer 2 free customized pages for each purchaser = score!!! Last year was my first time using them and as someone who was new to this yearbook thing I was pleasantly surprised with their software and how easy and fun it was to work on this project. I really enjoyed the project last year but I also spent a lot of time on it because I chose to create my very own "template" instead of using one of their pre-existing ones; however, this year I didn't have the same amount of time to dedicate to the yearbook as I did last last year and I was stressed for a minute. Then to my surprise, their templates are amazing and super easy to use AND they added/created the Chief Editor Portrait Auto Flow which made it oh so easy to complete the project in just 2 weeks! Seriously, thank you TreeRing! The end results are always amazing!! Beautifully printed and great quality! read more

Ordered this product well before the school year ended and halfway through summer have still not received it. Extremely disappointed.

Not user friendly for custom pages!! Do not recommend. You can't use from your cell phone. Needs updating

I would give 0 stars if I could. My daughters school didn't do a good job of marketing year book sales. At the end of the year I managed to find out they were being ordered through Treering. I ordered a $55 yearbook and selected $45 for overnight shipping. My total was over $105. Four days later still had not received the yearbook. I reached out online and got no response. Had to google the number to be able to call because they hide it on their website. Then I was told it takes a week or more to actually print the book (even though the website says they do it asap so you can't cancel an order after 30 min from placing it). So I paid $45 for overnight shipping for a book that won't get here until well after school is finished. My kid won't be able to have her friends sign it and I'm out $40 when I could have just paid for standard shipping. This company is not upfront about production and shipping times. Their only remedy was to offer to cancel my order if it hadn't already started printing yet. Gee thanks. read more

I have a few Treering yearbooks that I've ordered throughout the years for my children. This year's ordering experience was less than desirable. I've emailed the company twice to let them know of my problem. As I was ordering, there is an offer to customize your child's book with 2 free pages. You are directed to upload pictures and also answer questions about your child. I didn't know how many pictures I could upload so I decided to upload about 12-15, thinking I would be able to delete the ones I didn't want. It automatically adds more than 2 customizable pages and proceeds to charge for each additional page. There was no way to remove these pages. I wasn't happy with the look of the layout and there was no easy way to rearrange or edit the layout. I was forced to purchase a year book that I was not happy with and that cost additional money because I could not delete the pages. The pressure was on to buy it because it was the deadline day. Not at all happy with Treering. I didn't receive any emails to order a year book from TreeRing until this week. read more
