I learned a lot of life-saving skills. Initially I took this training over 20 years ago and much has changed. I learn how to use an AED which I had no prior knowledge of until my training. I learned how to give CPR to an infant, child, and adult. The facility was easy to find and had water, coffee, microwave so we could bring our own meals. I have been to In Home CPR twice & have taken this course at many other locations in the past BUT I would highly recommend In Home CPR without a doubt! My work offers the CPR class for free but I prefer to pay due to the knowledge I get and how well explained the course is at In Home CPR. Chris is well organized, funny & really knows his stuff! To top it off, he tells us real life experiences he's encountered that sure makes it helpful to know if ever a real life situation comes up! The 3.5 hours for this class fly by fast. I have to have CPR training every two years for work. San Mateo CPR has a lot of classes at different times for any schedule. Chris was my instructor and did a fantastic job - teaching the class, staying on course, and answering questions succinctly. We did not get out early, which I always look for in any class. They DID provide coffee and tea, which was wonderful! The classroom was small so it limited the size of the class (we had 7 in ours) which was nice. Parking was good, facilities had only one bathroom, which is not ideal. They did have knee pads for us to use if we chose to do CPR on the floor. That was good! Overall I would definitely go here again, and I am hoping they start ACLS so I can take that course from them as well. read more

This was second time I participated in this course and i will be there for two years later of my renewal of certification. Christ was perfect same as before and he explained all materials clearly, he never stepped forward until he made sure that everyone got the information. You can also have discounts for renewal. I took the BLS class with Chris C as the instructor on December 9th 2016. Chris was able to get the group of us comfortable with one another which resulted in a very interactive, friendly class. Everyone asked a good amount of questions and Chris was able to answer all of them efficiently and kept the class running on time. All of the equipment was in pretty good condition and CLEAN! He also provided us with these cute/awesome portable keychain face masks, LOVE. **(scene safe, no pulse or breathing, someone get me my face mask! then call 911 and get the AED. lol)** Chris also look the time to chat with me for a moment at the end of the test to share some pointers on Nursing school, which I really appreciated. I haven't taken a CPR class since HS, the class was told that various things have been changed. The they both presented the material made it easy to understand and remember. It was a little hard for me to find the entrance but upon arrival I was welcome, given a book, given a carry around mask, and made my payment. The little breaks in between were nice because it is a lot of information were given and well helloooo we need to stretch hahah. But all around I am very please with everything from the location, the teachers, the coffee and snacks we were offered, to the test at the end of the class. Chris was our instructor and he was fantastic. I've been a comust medic and EMT, and I still learned some new techniques from this class. The dummies to practice on and AED were top notch with lighting and sounds. I would recommend to anyone, parents, backpackers, teachers not just healthcare providers. I did a fair share of research before settling on a place to get BLS/CPR certified and I'm very happy I chose this place. Let me tell you why! - Competitive pricing. It seemed like other places were a little cheaper but that's because you have to pay for the manual separately. The manual price is already lumped into the registration fee here. - Small class size. You won't be able to shrink into the shadows here, which is definitely a good thing because you'll want to get your practice in and also get feedback from the instructor. - Engaging instructor. I had Chris G as my instructor and he was funny, entertaining, and of course very knowledgable. 3 hours of videos and demonstrations seems daunting but he made the time pass quickly with his jokes, anecdotes, and enthusiasm. - Online scheduling and reminders. It was so easy to hop on the website, look at my class options, and register for the session I wanted. I received a reminder email for my session and after completing the course, I got another email that said they'll remind me again when my certification is about to expire. How kind :) - Modern demonstration materials. The adult- and infant-sized models give immediate feedback via red, yellow, and green lights so you know if your compressions are acceptable. - Easy to find and free parking. *get ready for my corny closer...* I went home that day with my certification card in hand but also with confidence in all the skills I learned in my BLS/CPR class. I was dreading spending the afternoon learning CPR again after so many years. However; Jennifer made it interesting and fun and all the materials were very helpful & informative.
