I called 1 day before actually coming in and I didn't get an answer but they texted me a couple hours later! (I think it's the owners personal phone and that's why she doesn't answer calls but responds to texts quickly) so I would recommend texting the number instead! I was able to get a spot in the class for BLS the next day and we get our cards emailed the same day but later that day. The cost is $80 for BLS, not bad compared to other places! The lesson itself was great, I learned a lot (this was my first time ever doing a cpr lesson) people go in to take the course to renew their card as well. Though the class is 4 hours when I went since it was such a small group that day it took way less time than 4 hours. I would recommend this place to anyone! I liked the way Joan (the owner) talked us through the lesson and would correct us and help us if we were doing something incorrectly and she has a funny sense of humor. I have had to get a CPR certification twice now (Initial and Renewal) and they were both from Ms. Joan Ventura. She's an amazing instructor and really knows her stuff. Her facility is really clean and smells really good lol. Enrolling for a class is very easy, just send her an email/call/text and she will be accommodate you if there is room. No complicated enrolling procedures. The price is also very fair at $75 (Thats how much I paid for my renewal and as far as I can remember that's how much it was the first time as well). "you can go some place else" ... all I did was ask for information about the class before signing up. Is that an issue? Before taking this class, I didn't really know much about CPR. But Joan's teaching style doesn't beat around the bush; it's straight to the point and most of the lessons are hands on (and not some bad quality tutorial video that was filmed in the 90s). Joan is also very understanding. I came with two other friends. and we were late because we had difficulty finding parking. We ended up being about 15 minutes late to class. Joan had also thought that when we set up an appointment for the CPR class that only 1 person was coming in (not 3). Despite being late and having more people than expected, Joan quickly accommodated us. I couldn't have asked for a better CPR instructor than Joan! Took this class with Joan 4 years ago when she was at another location. Decided to come renew with her again at this new location. She was awesome. I felt that the training I got here was more effective than the BLS class at my work... (And I work at Stanford hosp....not saying that Stanford isn't good) but I feel more confident with my Skills now. The teaching was Very thorough, definitely got a good work out haha.. I went to Joan to get recertification and my son to get certified. Joan is very knowledgable, patient, quite informative, thorough and just an all around great instructor. The facility was clean with all the necessary equipment including floor mats. The class took about 3 hours and everything was covered within that time frame. Great class and a fun atmosphere! Excellent renewal course if you are already certified, but just as good for a first-time learner. Go prepared to be on your knees on a kneeling pad, and wear something you can work up a sweat in. Sweats or scrubs are an ideal choice. I had just had a cast removed from my lower leg and wasn't comfortable kneeling, and one other student had a bad back and worked at a desk, but there was only enough desk space for the two of us, in a class of about 20. If you know you will need accommodations like that, call ahead and let them know. read more

I renewed by BLS today. It was only me and one other student. It only took about 2 hours. The class was informative. I didn't feel rushed nor did I feel like it was dragging. The mannequin and training equipment were clean and in good condition. The instructor also provides a mat for when you're kneeling on the floor. Joan was the instructor, she's very knowledgeable and super nice. She takes time to make sure we understand the material and let's us ask questions. So I came first..and there was like 4 of us. All her lectures were clear and can be understood by anyone. She made it simple, direct to the point.
