Please do your research/due diligence. Finished the Sterile Processing Program September 2025, passed the board exam November 2025. After getting licensed, we were supposed to be placed in externships. Unfortunately the communication from the school stopped with no explanations. As of today April 15, 2026 entire class did not get any externships so we are all doing random jobs now to get by. What's even worse is that my friend got motivated to do the same program and enrolled on the program for the class batch after us, he also passed the board. We both did not know that the school would suddenly stop assisting us after getting licensed. During the enrollment and beginning of the program, the school emphasized that they will assist with the externship. One of main reasons I stayed with the program is because they advised that they have a plan-B which is staffing so there is a safety net, that we will get externship, but that didnt happen either. While our entire class is trying our best to find our own externships after getting licensed and got "ghosted" by the school. The school is still enrolling more and more students and posted more future class schedules on their website. Which makes me wonder about their plans, if they can't find externships for the previous and current students, why are they still enrolling more students? read more

I graduated from the Sterile Processing program in September 2025 and passed my board exams shortly after. However, it is now April 2026, and I still have not been placed in an externship. When I follow up with Mark, I'm simply told there is nothing available and that I should start contacting hospitals for placements myself. It is disappointing to pay for a program that shifts the responsibility of clinical placement onto the student after the work is already done. Total failure on the school's part. read more

Good affordable sterile processing program! I took the weekend classes from 2-8pm! From Oct-Dec in 2022! The whole process of starting the program to ending it, was fairly simple ! The school was very knowledgeable with any questions we had, they made the process of signing up for the board exam simple too! Once you pass the boards, they start the process on helping you find an externship ! The school is based in the Bay Area & I live in Fairfield, they were able to find me an externship in Napa ! Your mileage may vary. The instructor was very helpful and informative through every step of the way. I went to school on a part time basis attending two days a week. I was able to complete the course and ended up passing my board exam. However the externship part is part of the waiting game it will take any where from 6 months to over a year if you're are lucky. I wish they had offer resume building and interview sessions as part of the course. I attended Niles because it was affordable. Had I done better research I would have opt to attend medtek in Hayward. I gotta say I learned a lot and it was well structured they will do their best to help you succeed. After you have paid all that is required and graduated you will not hear from them. I find it very annoying and unprofessional. Luckily with a lot of persistence of my own I was able to accept a job offer with a big hospital that I will not name. I had to do my CNA skills at this location, because So Cal had no appointments in their system. It was worth the trip. (I have been a CNA for 8 years and I let my certification expire because I lacked CEUs.) I was still nervous, but the Proctor was excellent. He was fair and kind. He made me feel at ease. I asked them if my slot was the only time canceled and they said yes, but they were still proceeding with tests later that day. I suggest scheduling for the morning slot and not doing the lunch slot. I came here to take my CNA state skills exam. Check in was smoothly and self-explanatory. I was given a thorough orientation of the testing situation and process before being tested. I was also grateful to be given some time to look over the skills I was being tested on and some time to get my nerves together and get prepared before conducting my skills exam. The actual testing process went smoothly, I made sure to be thorough with what I was performing and my proctor, Ron DeLeon, RN was very helpful and answered all my questions. He made me feel comfortable testing and was very straightforward with each skill I had to test on. I would definitely recommend choosing this place as a test center! read more

I must say that this school really was the key for my boyfriend to jumpstart his Sterile Processing career. In order to fully appreciate the whole process, one must first realize that in the medical field, it is very difficult to get into a job right after school. The best part that I can appreciate about Mrs. Fe who is the director of the school is that she will definitely help those students who are very serious about the program to first pass the class, then notify students specifically about the board exam, and then when there is an opening spot for an externship, they will reach out to the students who have received their certificates to start the externship program. My boyfriend never hesitated and is a go getter so he took the opportunity right away, and i am very very happy to say, that he has finally received an offer letter at Sutter Health. Bottom line, the student must be serious about their future and their goals and once the requirements are met accordingly, it is without a doubt that in due time they will achieve their goal which is to finally get hired at a hospital. Financially, it is VERY VERY affordable in comparison to other educational institutions. Some institutions will leave students in debt or owe money after graduating, here you get your moneys worth, an I'm speaking from first hand experience. I give this school a perfect 10 out of 10. I would do zero if I could! The woman, Fe was so disrespectful to me, and my peers. She immediately questioned if I took my CNA course at Niles College, which I did not. She also interrogated me about my age, falsely accusing me of illegal testing, for not yet having my high school diploma (which is legal). Additionally, she did not follow or use proper equipment. When testing, it did not feel as though it was through state requirements, but through her personal preferences. She treated everyone with unnecessary disrespect, and rushed every step, not allowing for the full skill to be completed. read more

The director Fe. was very rude. Me and about 6 others went there for Skills and Written testing. I have never been treated so bad in my 62 years of life, and I literally mean my 62 years. She did not discriminate. she was disrespectful to the entire group that I was with on that date. I was humiliated and so was the rest of the group. She spoke to us as if we were less that, she also yelled and slammed things on the table. She did not introduce herself and when I asked what her name was she rudely as "why did I want to know her name, and I stated that I would just like to address you by name and its nice to know who is my tester. She replied that she was the owner and director and I only needed to deal with that dummy over in the bed. I asked her why she why did she need to yell and she stated that she can if she wanted too. I just couldn't put my finger on why she would be an instructor and felt the need to insult her clients like so. I see the other reviews and I believe that the reviewers are stating true experiences, but for us that came in just for testing she was a entirely a different Beast, and I mean Beast. She had me very nervous and I would never recommend anybody to go there for testing. The husband and the son however were very polite. I truly believe that she passed me for 1 that I did know my stuff, but I believe even if I didn't she was going to pass me, due to my strong personality and she knew I was going to report her. I'm also going to write to the better Business Bureau and to CDPH. She aught not to be treating people as if we are unworthy of her service. I truly have a love for people and I have never been so upset and disappointed of spending my money with someone who truly on wanted out money. Come to find out that she is a very old lady and needs to retire. Background states that she is over 75 years old. I completed the sterile processing program back in November of 2019, I passed my state board test as well. The school is very quick to take your money but I have waited for 2 years to be set up for my externship which I would have to complete 400 hours of work for free so I can get a job in the field o work so hard to pay for and be there everyday. The school continues to ignore my calls and messages and still has not set me up for success but they have set me up for failure. I cannot get a job without having these 400 hours completed no one will hire you without experience and the school continues to ignore me and not set me up with my extreme shit. I am a single mother of 2 children working everyday odd jobs just to meet ends meends me when I depended on this school to help me be a successful sterile processing technician and make good money to provide for my family. read more

Found Niles College through google, searching for SPD (Sterile Processing Department) courses in the Bay Area. From San Francisco, this was the closest AND cheapest school I found. I'm so glad I chose to take my course here; after about 3 months of class, we took our state exams right away, and got our CBSPD certifications. I am currently in the process of starting the externship program with them (they are affiliated with Kaiser and SF General, along with Sequoia I believe). Had Tues-Thurs class with instructor Tim and he was excellent, especially cause we were the first class he's taught. Super funny, friendly, and extremely helpful with the material you are learning. Fe and Nes are the friendliest directors you will ever meet. Always a warm welcoming vibe every time you walk into Niles. BEWARE ALL POTENTIAL CNAS IN THE MAKING!!!! Check the date on the good reviews this place has, because not a single one of them is recent or accurate. This school is quite possibly the most unprofessional and haphazard program a person could ever take in their life. I am not being hyperbolic when I say this is the worst educational experience I've had in my life. from the first day to the last, this program was infuriating, frustrating, and not at all informative. The instructor I had was a hot mess, he failed to answer a single question anyone had in the month, and theory was basically inane rambling. Clinicals were even more of a mess, they had us illegally helping without guidance, and once again, we were never given adequate instructions. I knew with an expedited program it might get a little haphazard, but I am being truthful when I say this entire program is a SCAM. Their CPR training was 30 seconds of watching someone fail to preform proper compressions on a dummy... (And I still got a AHA accreditation) I had to teach myself everything, and they intentionally make it so everybody passes, regardless of actual skill or merit. I am worried what kind of CNAs will come out of this school. Avoid this place at all costs... The shortness of the program is far outweighed by the absolute insanity of this school. You will not learn, and you would be better off spending that $2000 tuition on anything else. read more

Don't schedule your CNA exam here. They cancelled mine in a last minute for no reason. Contacted credentia and was told that the they cancelled with the facilities request. Don't waste your time. Yesterday I checked my account and seen that it was approved already. And just today I checked again to make sure everything's good and ready to go. Just to see that it was cancelled. My exam was supposed to be tomorrow. Now I have to reschedule and find a different facility. By looking at the reviews now, I read that the instructor or director is actually rude and seems like she be little anyone that's from other school that takes the exam at Nile's college. I don't want to assume but I feel like my exam was cancelled because of the fact I'm from another school. Looking at the reviews seems like they are only willing to take their own students. This school has open up a lot of opportunities for me as a person trying to have a better life in US. The program took me 3 months to finish and another 10 weeks for my externship. The people that trained me in my externship graduated from Niles College too. It was indeed a great learning experience. The faculty of this school especially Ms. Fe is a very kind, helpful and very accommodating Program Director. Together with her husband, Mr. Nestor, they want their students to be successful with their careers. They are willing to work things out with their students. The instructors and admin will always encourage students to study hard. I was inspired with their stories of how this course changes their life for the better. The tuition fee for this course is very affordable compared to other schools. Anyone who wants to take this program will not waste their time and money. Woo hoo. Still can't believe it's already been 2 weeks since I graduated from Niles College's CNA program. My whole experience there has been phenomenal. From the day that I first walked into Niles to talk to Fe, the program director, about their CNA course to the day I last walked out (after taking the CNA state board exam), I can honestly say this was really an outstanding and remarkable experience... and bittersweet. So let's begin, shall we! After finishing my pre-reqs for Nursing, I was in the midst of applying to nursing school and needed something more than just my grades and volunteer services. So I decided to take a CNA course to gain more experience and to learn more about hands on nursing skills. I was browsing the web when I stumbled upon Niles College and I read up on their program. I was really interested so I called and Fe picked up. She was super nice and helpful and told me to drop by so we can meet in person and talk more. Next thing you know, I'm at the college and i'm talking to Fe and then I'm doing the paperwork! Literally one week later, i'm starting class ! LECTURE/DISCUSSION: Gina, Fe's daughter, was our instructor. She is certified as an LVN and has worked in multiple hospital facilities throughout her nursing career before teaching. Throughout the whole course, Gina was very informative and taught us the right ways to perform certain skills to learning the basics of nursing assistance and the tasks that nursing assistants do on a daily basis. The first and half week of the program consists of lectures/discussions where we learn through powerpoints, handouts, and a powerpoint binder. Class starts at 8:00am-4:30pm. Yes. i know.. bummer... class is 8 hours long. BUT, rest assure, it is THEE most fast and worth-it 8 hours of ur life. Being in class for 8 hours NEVER feels like 8 hours cause it goes by so fast and you're in constant learning mode. Gina does most of the talking and we follow through w/ the powerpoint binders. In the chapters, we learn about: roles/responsibilities, abuse, proper body mechanics, positioning, infection controls, taking vital signs, personal hygiene, intake/output, safety/emergency procedures, nutrition, long-term care, restorative care, observations/reporting, and death/dying. This is a lot of information to absorb in less than 2weeks and we do take 1-2 tests daily. But they are completely doable tests if you follow along and pay attention in class. As long as you take notes/listen and really apply the things Gina says, you will definitely pass the tests. She goes through every chapter thoroughly and she helps you and engages you into what she's teaching. Gina is a great instructor and she genuinely wants everyone to pass and succeed, but most importantly, she wants us to learn and fully comprehend what we're learning and not just study and forget after. Honestly, with all the practice tests, study guides, and handouts she provides, you'll even surprise yourself with how much you really do retain. We also get a few 15 mins breaks throughout the day and an hour lunch break so time is not the problem here and overtime, you honestly start feeling like family with your classmates and w/Gina and her mum and dad. The program tuition (~ $1,400) also includes your CPR certification which is great if you aren't CPR certified yet. We literally got certified in two hours and we learned hands on how to perform CPR on an adult and baby dummy and that's it! You are now certified for the next two years! CLINICALS: After lecture/discussions comes clinicals which is only two weeks long! Clinical is where you apply what you learned in lecture. It starts at 7:00am to 3:30pm and the clinical site is at Burlingame Long Term Care. My experience there is yet another memorable one for me. Throughout my time there, I met some great CNAs and my daily task was to shadow them and learn from them. Through watching what they do on a daily basis, I seriously have a new profound respect for CNAs and nurses in general. This also sparked my passion even more for becoming a future nurse one day. The two weeks really went by so fast and on the last day, I was actually kinda sad to say goodbye to everyone but also happy that I embarked on this journey and that I came out with more knowledge after being there. After clinical, we take our final and a week later, we take the state boards exam. Gina prepped our asses off for this exam and we all passed! Hands down thee BEST CNA program, imo. Hello there, Just want to give credit to this school for teaching me what i am now,.. Got my licences here as a Certified Sterile Processing Technician around November of 2014. My teacher was Bob and it was a weekend class since that was the only available time i can go to take this program and for about 2 months course, weekend only i was offered an internship to their partner hospital where i currently work now as a sterile processing tech 2 in Sequoia Hospital of Redwood City. Bob gave me the knowledge to understand task to complete my job and to retain all the parameters you have to do in order to perform your job right; but at the end the day after all the information given and the books to pass the California State board exams. you have to make it happen. What i have learned here at Nile's is that you need to have the skill to get you started but you have to really understand the theory of what your job is all about. and that is to serve the best you can to ensure the safety of patent care. Nile's College has a small class capacity never the less it has a very warm and homey feeling in their classrooms. I just literally graduated today. I swear hands down if your thinking about doing sterilization tech, go here. They get you in and out. It's not a lengthy program like other schools. They get right to the point! And you learn a lot. I had Rev as a teacher, and he was funny and super nice. But most of all he was there for his students. I researched it further and found out that it was the most affordable and shortest class. The class length is only eight weeks. I went down to Niles College to get more information. They treated me like I was part of there family. I took the Tuesday thru Thursday class with Rev my whole experience has been extraordinary. I have gained new friends and a new career. Rev was so nice, funny, and very easy to get along with. If you are having any problems making it to class. You can make arraignments to do it at a later time. I attended the CNA certification course. Highly recommended! The 1-month program is faster than your typical community college equivalent and you get the same exact result. Patty Lisa was an excellent teacher who encourages your success! Fe and the entire Niles College staff were also supportive. They prepare you well for the CA State Board exam. It should be noted that they administer the state exam here and people from other schools (even from Sacramento) come here. That means they may have knowledge to share with you regarding what is likely to be on the exam. Class sizes are great for learning. Facility and location is good. Carlmont Gardens nursing homes was also an excellent place to learn with great staff i.e. Bertha, Yovar and all.
