I've taken a lot of first aid and CPR classes over the years because I've worked with children. Marita is definitely a great instructor. In the past, I've had instructors turn what should have been a few hour class into one that lasted five or more. Or my personal favorite, the instructor who spent about 20 minutes teaching us CPR but nearly an hour on what to do if someone is impaled. Needless to say, Marita did none of those things during our session. I took the class with only one other person. She made sure to emphasize the things that are really important and made sure to take our needs, like a particular emphasis on infant CPR, into account. She also acknowledged that I had taken first aid and CPR classes several times and made sure to educate us both on any changes in the Red Cross guidelines.
