We needed a very large crane that other tree companies could not supply. Two days later Derwin showed up with a super large crane and a swat team of the best "tree guys" I have ever seen. It was very, very clear that these guys were on a mission and everyone worked in total sync and never missed a beat. I can't imagine any way to improve this company. They were truly fantastic and everything they did including an absolutely perfect cleanup. I will never use any other tree company.

Once again the professionalism, detailed to work, friendly attitude, cautious approach to their surroundings, etc. Black forest tree service is the real deal, I highly recommend their services and if given the opportunity for those considering tree services your first call should be to Black Forest Tree Service. They came in they cut down three significant trees in my yard, where respectful of the surrounding property, and once completed you hardly knew they even did any work. My next-door neighbor actually commented on how professional they were and how they even cleaned up their yard because of some of the debris that actually was caused. Since then I have shared their contact information with seven other homeowners in our community. Strongly suggest if trees need to be cut this is your first call!

Watching them remove trees was like looking at Swiss watch, every move planned and precisely executed. The crane operator worked with such precision that about half the development came out to watch. They are professional and the pricing was very fair, all work was completed and the cleanup was outstanding. If you need tree work give them a call, you won't be disappointed.

But, their services have steadily worsened. Here's my general experience, though yours may differ. 1. When I called, it almost always went to voicemail. 2. I would rarely get a call back, even over multiple days. 3. I would have to call multiple times, leave multiple messages, and eventually would hear back. 4. Work was not completed in a timely manner. We're really busy was the standard excuse. Unsurprisingly, invoices were sent out quickly. Most recently, I had an especially bad experience. My irrigation system had a leak. It took over 2 weeks before someone came out. It was not fixed. How do I know? It was still leaking. Rather than leaving voicemails and waiting another 2+ weeks, I called someone else and they fixed it the very next day. As you might expect, Carolina Outdoor Care still expects me to pay.

A little over a year ago, these guys removed a number of trees from my neighbor's property and in…read morethe process damaged two of my trees including a 50 ft red oak and a smaller maple. I consulted an aroborist, and after giving the tree some time he came to the conclusion that the tree was not able to be saved. I asked Arbor Lawn to remove the tree free of charge. I could've asked for them to replace it, but I didn't. They told me that the company had changed ownership and all they could do was give me a discount. I accepted a 20% discount figuring it wasn't these people's fault as it happened under previous ownership, and this was likely the best offer I was going to get. Well, when they came out to remove the tree (that they killed, that I loved), the same guy that mortally wounded my tree in the first place shows up to do the job. My neighbor even recognized him. Despite having an entire open field to one direction of the tree for it to safely fall on, instead he sends the top of the tree falling the other direction damaging a newly planted red bud tree. I will never use or recommend Arbor Lawn. Their work crews are reckless. I honestly feel like I've been taken advantage of.
