We get our trees here every year and experience nothing but incredible service. Not sure what kind of grinch attitude are in these reviews, but shopping local and supporting our community is important to us, so when the Broncos parkway location employed individuals who needed some help getting back on their feet, we were happy to spend over our budget and have 100% of the top go towards them. Prices are more than fair, the trees are spectacular, and you get a fresh cut so the sap isn't covering the bottom to prevent watering the tree - super important. We also love the variety of sizes and types and thoroughly enjoy walking their corner to pick our perfect tree. Thank you to everyone here and we'll only get our tree from you guys! read more

Ian greeted us and put us at ease - super friendly. After that, we had some unnaturally high energy salesman that told us $160 in the lot (including the $20 coupon I texted for upon entry). We asked them to trim the bottom our 7' Nobel Fir, which they did - as well as skin all the bark off the base of the tree (ensuring any water at home will be wasted). When we went in to pay, the total rang up to $189.90. They said 8% tax explained it. I was infuriated. All Christmas spirit was sucked out of us by the downer girl running the register. Nice enough trees, but bring some figurative lubricant. They will bend you over rough in the end. Do not recommend, will not return. Just purchased a tree from these guys. The choice of selection is massive, 100s of trees to choose from. The asking prices for the trees are quite high, expect to do a bit of haggling to get a decent price. Most trees are priced between $70-$90. I got my Christmas tree here two years ago the people who work there were awesome I got a tree for 40 bucks little 4 foot tree actually was 5 feet. So this year I got a coupon from $20 off so I go check it out and I found a nice one which was 4 feet a grand fir. I asked the guy how much and he said $100, I said really 104 4 foot tree that was here two years ago and got one for 40 bucks for the same size and of course he's trying to upsell me different trees which I said I didn't want and He was really rude, I would definitely not recommend this place so you're telling me if I wanna go buy a 6 foot tree I'm gonna spend $200 to $300 on it. * DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY HERE * On Sunday night around 7:00 PM, I brought my husband and daughter here this year, and witnessed a very heated and unprofessional scene!!! We were browsing for about 10 minutes, and decided on a 5" tree.. When my husband went to pay, suddenly we heard this very short man whom earlier greeted us (which I assume to be the OWNER,) screaming and threatening a girl in the parking lot. The small man was waving his fists at her, demanding her to leave immediately. The girl was shouting back, saying she would not leave until he paid her. He began to argue "YOU DON'T DESERVE MY MONEY! YOU SHOWED UP 20 MINUTES LATE EVERYDAY!" she was visibly upset, exclaiming he hadn't paid her and several other employees for weeks. He said it 'wasn't his problem', and they showed up 'late' as well. There were about 10 other people and children watching these two fight, eventually most of them (including us) got back into our car and left. DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY or BUSINESS HERE. Their coupons are very misleading. They only tell you that the coupons are already applied to your quoted price when you are actually paying for the tree, which is sneaky and dishonest. They tied our tree to the top of our car very poorly and we had to pull over on the drive home to resecure it. We got a fairly big tree and if that fell off (which it almost did) that would have been a huge safety concern. Our tree ended up being very dry and the needles are sparse in spots. It never soaked up any water even with a fresh cut on the bottom. Sadly, it will not make it even close to Christmas. Don't make our same mistake, look elsewhere. Update: I added two stars because we talked with the owner (Pete) and he was willing to allow us to bring our tree back and exchange it for a fresher tree. Our old one was completely dried up in a week, but the new one is sucking up water and doing much better. This place is one large scam. We were charged $89 for a five and a half foot tree. When I finally spoke to the manager he gave me his clearly repeated speech that the prices advertised on the website and at the location only reflect "preordered" prices. Which is shown in the fine print if you scroll to the bottom of the page, past all of the advertisements. On site prices are roughly double. They don't give you the price however, until its cut and loaded in your car. Clearly I should have asked but ohwell. Clearly a shady car salesman scamming people on Christmas. We bought our Christmas tree today for 2018. They had a great range of beautiful plush trees in varied sizes and lots of larger trees between 6 - 8' but I would still recommend you go early in the season so you have lots of choice. There were no prices on them in the lot so I was a little concerned at first but they offered us a price that we thought was fair and reasonable for a live tree that looks perfect in every way. They cut the bottom off the trunk and tied it to the top of our car with ease. We tipped them for this as my husband and I would have struggled to do this on our own (we chose a 7' tree). It is truly a beauty and the whole experience was really positive. My little boy is thrilled with out expedition today and so are we. read more

The tree looks great and the service lady was pleasant but the price was nuts. Using the website I estimated that the tree and stand would be no more than $50 but it ended up being $80. They have a sign advertising less expensive trees but when I asked about those I was told they sold out earlier that day. Maybe they did but seemed like a scam. Horrid, both to customers and employees. "Fresh" trees are trucked in from Idaho, logged heaven knows when. "Fresh" to them means only that they arrived at the site within the week. Prices are ridiculous and website prices misleading. Onsite prices are MUCH more expensive, with "2nd" trees priced higher than indicated for "premium" trees on the website. Tree prices are not clearly indicated at the site, allowing the sales-shark to jack the prices if you have a groupon. As for employees (a friend was employed by this place): seasonal workers are paid only $10/ hour for hard work in freezing temperatures. Bad enough, but daily pay is 60% of the total, the other 40% being held back, presumably to be paid by check when the job ends. My friend was let go, and in spite of the Colorado labor law which states that the terminated employee receive their check within 24 hours....it's been about 2 weeks. Phone calls to the owner are answered with "I'll get back to you: text me your hours".. in spite of him requiring time cards. DO NOT go here, either as a customer, OR as an employee. read more

I bought a Groupon for $40 off the price of a tree at Tree Land Christmas Trees (paid $19). Went to the location 112th & sheridan in Westminster because its the closest. They had very few trees, we looked and found a couple choices. One we liked was leaning against the fence, but looked nice. We asked how much and the young salesman tells us that their lot was robbed for 362 trees (?!?!) AND that there is a tree shortage. He then tells us the tree is $120 but will give it to us for $80. We didnt jump at that price so we agreed to $75 even though it's high. I was ok with supporting this "family business" that got robbed. They put the tree on the car and I didn't notice until I got home that it is extremely bare on one whole side which is probably why it was leant against the fence. I looked up the "robbery" and there was an article about it that stated it was a civil issue and the owners wife had the trees and had returned them after the police were involved. So just some smarmy dudes lying and taking advantage of families for Christmas. Gross. Do NOT support these fools. read more

No prices posted anywhere so you have no idea what the original price was...so they offer great coupons/groupons because of that they can say whatever they want for the prices, so your coupons/Groupons are not lowering the prices. I called them on it. My friend who only had a $20 coupon paid the same amount for a noble fur 6-7ft ($180.00!!) as I was being told I owed after I had a Groupon for $40 credit. We actually had fun here picking out a tree! We're cheap and like the little guys, they had TONS of huge trees, medium trees and small trees. They were all sorts of kinds! My fiancé and I went here to pick out our Christmas tree on Friday night and they were amazing! We had gotten there just before they closed and they were still so sweet and helpful. When putting the tree on top of the car, we realized that we had locked the keys in the car.. The folks at Tree Land were so helpful and helped us unlock and get back into the car! It ended up being quite a bit after closing that we were able to get back in and they didn't mind at all and we're just happy that they were able to help. Ugh can I give this place zero stars please!?!? My entire experience here was like buying a car. I had purchased a groupon for $20 which gave me $40 to spend. Their prices were OUTRAGEOUS. They said this was because their trees were SO fresh. I would have left immediately if I hadn't unknowingly locked myself into a sham by buying the groupon. I finally picked out the smallest tree with a giant bald spot because I just wanted to get it over with already (sadly, I had been looking forward to getting a tree for months-- and they totally ruined the experience for us), and they told me I would still have to pay another $50 for it. $50! That adds up to $90 including my groupon, for the most Charlie Brown Christmas tree on the whole lot. Finally I asked for the manager and had to haggle for another 20 minutes. Eventually they hauled the tree over to the car. I asked why they hadn't cut the stem and they said it's because it was just so darn fresh. ....so now here I am, Christmas still hasn't even hit yet and I have a limp brown stick in the corner of the room. I would select zero stars if I could. My wife went to select a tree in person after I was asked to pay over the phone sight unseen. When she selected a tree they quoted her $200 more than I was quoted over the phone. We paid $614 for a 12 foot douglas fir to be delivered to our home and they tried to deliver an 8 foot fraser fir the first night after 10pm. I rejected this delivery and the next day I was sent photos of a tree hiding the broken branches within. Upon delivery of the 12 foot Douglas fir it had a huge branch broken and they had stuffed broken branches in the gaps of the tree. Pete at the lot told me that next year I should order earlier to ensure I received a good tall tree as supply is limited. Total ripoff. This is our first year in Colorado as we moved from Washington state and are very familiar with trees from the PNW. I would highly recommend you stay away from this business. We just moved here and couldn't find a place that hung the trees up so you could see them, where they drill the tree into your stand for you (not screw it in like most). We finally decided just to settle on a tree at this location. The website said $79.99 for an 8-9' tree. We are used to paying almost $200 for a nice perfectly uniform frasier fir. We picked an 8.5' tree and had a $20 off coupon and the guy helping us even said $79.99, but when we got inside to pay, the girl charged us almost $120 and wouldn't even discuss it with us. She just swiped our card. Never ever again....not to mention the guy helping us had snot all over his face. Ick. We came home with a less than fabulous tree that leans almost 45 degrees in our stand because of the hole he drilled in it...and now my husband is out buying a new stand. What a disaster. read more

There are no prices on trees. None. Employees wandering by give you vague estimates, all ridiculously high, but warn these are subject to change. Welp! I guess this will teach my to always check yelp! We got a 9ft tree, over a $100. But he had already trimmed the bottom and wrapped it so we were stuck. We get it home, it is gorgeous. But now 9 days later, it wont drink water and is completely dead. If you go near it, a handful of needles fall off! We have a large christmas party we throw and I have no idea what to do! This "business" is essentially just another scam operation cleverly disguised as a wholesome Christmas tree lot. It's a truly massive bait & switch scheme. I've purchased trees from this place for several years. Unfortunately, this time was different. I was quoted a price of $525 for 2 trees. I then sent a truck to purchase the trees. Upon their return I discovered we had been charged $1,596 for the two trees. An overcharge amount of $1,071! I called and texted with the owner attempting to rectify the problem in an amicable manner. I did everything I possibly could to solve this problem prior to filing reports with the BBB and posting negative reviews. Unfortunately, the owner simply stopped talking to me and literally disappeared. He placed the blame onto us claiming that because we chose trees from the "wrong part of the lot" we were rightfully overcharged by $1,071. Evidently, to actually realize the "special pricing" you received over the phone you need to arrive under cover of darkness and meet the owner in a dark alley. Otherwise, you can expect to be overcharged by over $1,000!!!!! Greed drives this operation. It's a VERY shady scheme that takes advantage of people during the holidays. read more
