Great place if you want to pay 2x for the same tree from Home Depot. Plus these gypsies charge you extra to use a credit card.

Lyman went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, from the perfect tree, to the rightsized stand and the best looking wreath for our front door. This was our 3rd time at Columbine Christmas Trees and it had been several years since we last shopped with them. Whomever is responsible for hiring Lyman and his staff needs to be given an award for hiring the most awesome crew in the tree selling business. The lot looks spectacular this year and better than I remembered it. Such a friendly staff, great prices, a good variety of trees and wonderful customer service. If you aren't getting your trees from Lyman and his team you aren't doing Christmas tree shopping the right way. Hope to see Lyman and all of this year's staff back again next year. A special thanks to Charles and Dave who helped us get the tree onto our car's roof and strapped down for the long drive to Ft. Collins. We Love Columbine Trees. Ty & Wendy

The lot its self is nicely laid out and trees are grouped by size. All the trees looked healthy and green. I do know (by having tried to compost old Christmas trees in my back yard) that some places will spray paint the needles green. I asked prior to purchasing my tree and was told they do not spray paint the tree. Great experience.

Not sure what kind…read moreof grinch attitude are in these reviews, but shopping local and supporting our community is important to us, so when the Broncos parkway location employed individuals who needed some help getting back on their feet, we were happy to spend over our budget and have 100% of the top go towards them. Prices are more than fair, the trees are spectacular, and you get a fresh cut so the sap isn't covering the bottom to prevent watering the tree - super important. We also love the variety of sizes and types and thoroughly enjoy walking their corner to pick our perfect tree. Thank you to everyone here and we'll only get our tree from you guys!

We asked them to trim the bottom our 7' Nobel Fir, which they did - as well as skin all the bark off the base of the tree (ensuring any water at home will be wasted). When we went in to pay, the total rang up to $189.90. They said 8% tax explained it. I was infuriated. All Christmas spirit was sucked out of us by the downer girl running the register. Nice enough trees, but bring some figurative lubricant. They will bend you over rough in the end. Do not recommend, will not return. I'd give zero stars, if it wasn't for the approachable Ian that greeted us. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE

I had to go inside. Helpful staff inside when searching for things. Always helpful and pleasant staff. The holiday items are out early. I like that. The smell of wood brings me back. And the buckets. There was a bucket lid shortage last time I was there. So many buckets. No lids to be found. I chuckled at the lidless inventory. I just needed a lid yo.

Unfortunately, the experience I had with one of the employees, Mathew, was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. After asking for assistance to get a refrigerator down from a shelf, Mathew arrived looking irritated from the moment he showed up. While I was speaking with a very kind older woman in the appliance department and asking her opinion on the various mini fridges, I could visibly see Mathew growing more impatient by the minute. In an effort to move things along, I asked him to retrieve a smaller fridge from the middle shelf. When he brought it down, I noticed it had a puncture and expressed concern that it might be damaged. Rather than acknowledging my concern, he ignored me and instead repeated what I said to the other employee. When I asked if he was planning to get a different one for me, he became even more irritated. I ultimately told him "never mind" because his attitude was becoming frustrating -- to which he replied, loud enough for both of us to hear, that he didn't "give a [expletive]." I immediately reported the incident to the supervisor on duty, who told me they would pass it along to the manager on Monday. However, based on the interaction, I'm not confident it was ever escalated. I'm a veteran, and I've always believed in treating others with respect -- and being treated the same in return. The lack of professionalism, respect, and basic customer service I experienced from this young employee was unacceptable. If someone doesn't want to interact with customers, they shouldn't be in a customer-facing role. I left without making a purchase and went to a different store where the staff treated me like my business actually mattered. I've shopped here before, but after this experience, I won't be returning.
