Hot Americano for in-house. Served quickly and nice and hot but...not a fan. Terrible flavor. Ugly mismatched mugs. Loved the atmosphere though. Pastries looked amazing and fresh. Nice fro-yo flavor options & toppings. Clean restrooms. Tried it but won't be a repeat customer.
First visit to Tree House Coffee and I already know I'll be back. The customer service was excellent and the whole concept is honestly just really cute and welcoming. I kept it simple with a caramel macchiato and it was really good. Smooth texture, great coffee flavor, and just the right amount of caramel without being overly sweet. I also noticed they have a nice variety of teas and yogurts, which makes it feel like a great spot whether you want coffee or something lighter. Good coffee is easy to find. Good customer service that actually makes you want to come back is harder to find. This place has both.
So glad I found this little gem of a coffee shop! Ended up trying the London Fog - nice and frothy earl gray tea latte with lavender. Delicious! They have some unique drink options with a Vietnamese coffee twist. Service was fast with bet tree r prices than most coffee shops and a nice relaxed vibe. Nice place to study, work or meet Now that I've discovered this place, I will definitely be back.
Came at around 3pm on a Saturday and there was no line. Seating was also easy to find. Service was very friendly and helpful, right off the bat. I prefer my coffee on the sweeter side and asked how sweet a specific drink would be. The barista let me know that they can make my drink sweeter if I wasn't happy with the sweetness level. I ended up doing that and they were very nice and quick in making the adjustment. I only got to try two drinks here, but the service is what stuck out to me and greatly improved my experience. COOKIE BUTTER ICED LATTE: It wasn't sweet enough for me so they adjusted the drink to my liking, at no extra cost. After that, I really liked the drink. Good cookie butter flavor! CA PHE SUA DA (Vietnamese Iced Coffee): I saw other reviews mention that this wasn't an authentic Vietnamese iced coffee in terms of flavor (which I found surprising because it's written in Vietnamese on the menu), but my partner is obsessed with them so he couldn't resist. We can confirm that it isn't authentic. We could tell as soon as it came out. It was very light in color, and authentic Vietnamese iced coffee should look almost chocolatey in color. It was much sweeter and had a much weaker coffee flavor than it should have. The hallmark of a good Vietnamese iced coffee is that strong, specific coffee flavor (think Cafe Du Monde, iykyk). It's not normal American coffee or espresso. There's a specific coffee flavor you're expecting in a Vietnamese iced coffee and this one tasted like they used normal American coffee/espresso. It was definitely Americanized. It wasn't bad, but it tasted and looked like sweet coffee milk. And when you're expecting a Vietnamese iced coffee, it's a let down. If you know what their version tastes like when you order, it'll be good. It's just not a Vietnamese iced coffee.
Every time I stop by here I like to get the 1885, it's a mix of Dr.Pepper and espresso. The portions are equally matched with it not being to much soda or espresso, it's pretty equal. I would recommend this if you're a fan of Dr.Pepper and coffee since it's the best of both. There's plenty of seating and the drinks are always out pretty quick.
5/5 Service was great and fast. The shop felt pretty Americanized so I was hesitant at first since I was craving a matcha latte or Vietnamese coffee. Gave it a shot anyway since it on my way to work and I'm glad I did! Iced matcha latte with oat milk, lightly sweetened. Oat milk was an extra $1.25. I passed on the Vietnamese coffee since it wasn't traditional drip style and probably made with an espresso machine. The interior is cozy with plenty of seating to study or get work done. It's a bit out of the way compared to more popular spots, but a great stop if it's along your route. I'll definitely be back!
Service was fast! I ordered and sat within 5 minutes. There is around 15 people with or seating inside and outlets around the wall. Interior is very cute and homey feeling. A lot of windows with natural lighting. There is also WiFi so it is a cute place to just hang out. The area around is a strip mall and it was really accessible from I-10. Because it's in a strip mall, there is also a lot of parking to hang out. I got an Ice latte for a pretty reasonable price! There were a lot options for the syrups also ranging from lavender to cookie butter. Otherwise drinks are pretty standard with hot and cold coffees and tea. There were also some dessert options and frozen yogurt in the back.
Why 5 stars? Because the nitro was perfect. --- --- --- I have probably been to close to 100 coffee shops where all I do is order a black nitro and that's the end of my experience. I usually don't write a review when that's the case because, it feels weird to basically just say, "5-stars, the nitro was awesome." But you know what? The nitro truly was perfect. So smooth, so easy to drink - everything I hope for. As a bonus, it was in the same parking lot as where we'd just eaten lunch, so bonus points for that random convenience. We live nowhere near here, but if I'm ever back in the area and needing caffeine, I'm stopping in. They had a bunch of other treats and a fro-yo here too, as well as a lot of great coffee options besides nitro. I wish we lived closer!
I am hardly ever on the West side or in the Memorial area these days, but decided to support Tree House since I happened to be in the area recently. I have known about this coffee house for quite some time, and it definitely lived up to my expectations. This spot, nestled in an interesting shopping center, has a rare neighborhood feel. Before visiting, I inquired about the Matcha Latte over the phone, and the guy who answered was very helpful with respect to explaining various coffee options. I settled on the Matcha Latte, which was made with oat milk and lightly sweetened. I'd rate this drink a 5/5. The Reese's cookie also rates a 5/5. Both were delicious. The counter service was good. You have the option to sit outdoors or inside, and I chose to sit outside - it was a beautiful, sunny day! Overall, I thought of Tree House as a cool place to visit, and I really enjoyed my visit there.
I was around the memorial area and was looking for a morning coffee spot. I found Tree House on yelp and decided to give it a shot. The storefront is located in a local plaza with other miscellaneous stores. The cafe itself is small and cozy with not much seating for those that want to do work. I ordered an Iced lavender latte (my go-to). I was pleasantly surprised with my drink. The espresso shot was well pulled with a delectable nutty flavor (just how I like it). The lavender tasted fresh and paired well into the latte. I enjoyed sipping on this latte throughout the day. If you are ever in the area, definitely give tree house a try! The servers were nice and the barista brought my drink straight over to my table!
Another day, another coffee stop in Houston. Since I'll be here until December 23, I figured I might as well keep exploring. Houston has so many coffee shops that it almost feels wrong not to try as many as I can...especially if you're a coffee drinker like me...Walking into Tree House Coffee, the vibe immediately felt cozy and inviting. It has that small, quaint cafe feel, the kind of place where families can sit, kids can enjoy a treat, and everyone can slow down for a bit. They also serve frozen yogurt, which makes this spot especially family friendly...I ordered the Japanese cold-brewed coffee. It was smooth but a little more acidic than my personal preference...Quick coffee note for fellow coffee lovers...Japanese style iced coffee is brewed hot and then rapidly cooled over ice, which naturally brings out brighter, sharper flavors. Some people love that crisp profile. For me, it leaned a bit punchy, but it's not wrong, just a different brewing style...Overall, it's a pleasant spot. I'd come back to try their other drinks, especially since the atmosphere alone makes it an easy place to sit and unwind...I invite y'all to come and join me as I go on my coffee stops, quiet reflections, and little moments along the way, you're welcome to follow my journey at PilgrimSojourner.org. -SD Mac PS. Lindy and Vivian were my baristas Today Ans they were amazing!
Tree house is my favorite spot for frozen yogurt. I've had their drinks and desserts before, which are great too, but what keeps me coming back is the froyo. They have a variety of flavors to choose from, but I'm devoted to the simply tart and strawberry tart. Their selection of toppings is solid - they have fresh fruit, mochi, boba, gummy worms, sprinkles, chocolate chips, etc. My sister and I's cups combined equaled to 1.15 lbs, and our total came out to $12.70. Throughly enjoyed every ounce of it, and the sweet toppings meshed so well with the tart flavors. The inside is small yet cozy. They have one longer table in the back, a few booths to the side, a sofa and cushioned chairs, and some small tables near the front of the shop. They have a couple of board games in the back as well! Service was good, and parking was fine!

We just discovered the tree house. Finally an alternative to the major coffee shop we all know. We tried the matcha green tea latte which is just perfect, not too sugary, not too hot. Nice place! I recommend it! read more

I'd recommend the blueberry muffin, it was better than the chocolate one and the Japanese iced coffee was SUPER strong! It wasn't bad though, I did prefer the matcha latte however. It was already sweet which kind of threw me off but it was fine. The coffee took a while to come out, there was only one lady working the register and getting the coffee/food. It took us about 15 minutes or so to get our two drinks and two muffins but it was a Saturday morning so it wasn't too busy. read more

As I sit here eating my breakfast & sipping on my Iced Sweet Latte watching all the staff getting trained on a new espresso, I decided I should definitely write to tell you how awesome this hidden gem is. So I don't live close to my most fave coffee places anymore and make the drive on most weekends to get some. Thankfully this place opened up a few mos ago and I am ecstatic to say that it is fuhreaking awesome! The coffee is not local but is not a chain brand and is ultra rich, bold and not acidic. I'm super in love with their Iced Sweet Latte that has the perfect balance of sweetness without killing the potency of the espresso. Their Artisan Mocha is pure heaven - hot or cold - made with their house made dark chocolate. Did I mention it is divine?!?! Their syrups are house made, AND if you like dark roast and they're out, they will make a freak single cup just for you which Cesar LOVES LOVES LOVES! He has said it's the best dark roast he's had at a coffee shop. Yogurt lovers? This is your spot as well. Come grab your cup/bowl and fill it with one of their many flavors which are switched out and top them with all the goodies that make your heart skip a beat. I love the green apple sorbet and recently they had a limoncello that knocked me off my feet! Sinfull Bakery lovers? They've got your fix here as well! Free-wifi, clean bathrooms, well-lit, modern and just the right size. The staff is nice and friendly. Sandra is über awesome, extremely friendly and always smiling; she already knows me and Cesar since she's the one here in the mornings when we come on the weekend. Please come check this place out because it is really worth it and so much better than than other place everyone bum rushes! read more
Stopped by after finding this place on yelp. It's a really cute shop. My sis and I wanted to try out their frozen yogurt. It was near closing time, but we made it just in time. We got the GREEN APPLE SORBET and the BLUEBERRY. I liked that they both had some tartness in them. We added some fresh fruits and mochi. The mochi was soft and added a nice texture to the froyo. I liked the addition of the fresh fruits because it added a different layer of sweetness. My sister added some gummy worms which gave it some more sourness. Overall, I like the froyo, but I wished they had more flavors to choose from. The establishment is cute and very clean. I don't know if I'll be back because there are closer froyo places near me, but I'm glad I tried it out. read more
This dainty cafe was a great find. We were craving some coffee and wanted to venture into the local coffee shops instead of Starbucks. The only local place I've been to in my area is Beans coffeehouse, which is pretty good but I felt like searching for another and we stumbled upon Tree House. Upon entering, you pinterest eyes come into focus. Such cute lights, great decor, and a chalkboard wall! We walked up to the cashier to order and the service was excellent. The server took her time to suggeset some favorites and made us feel very welcome. We felt special because Tree House's grand opening is actually March 26- this is only the soft opening. I ordered the Caramel frappe w/ an espreeso shot and it was so delicious. I normally do not get frappes because I don't like the slushie/ice chunks in my coffee. This frappe was smooth and thick, almost like a milkshake. It was so tasty, with just the right amount of sweetness. Almost like melted ice cream :9 My friend ordered the chocolate mocha latte, which was also so creamy and good. The dark chocolate warms your soul. We both took our first sips and nodded in approval. The server came to check up on us and I almost jumped up to hug her. An interesting fact about this place is that it used to be a froyo shop, but added on a branch for coffee, which I am so thankful for. I will be coming back for sure! read more

really cute little coffee shop. it was about to be 9am and I had a smidge of extra time before work to grab a coffee, or else my coworkers would hate me for the day... I got a iced vanilla latte with soy, i'd just get regular or 2% next time. it's just Silk. as I was waiting on my drink, the barista and I were chit chatting... they have their own syrups that that make inhouse, which is pretty awesome. there was a previous fro-yo shop at this lcoation, under a different name. she told me the owner took it & rebranded it. it looks like a nice little hangout spot inside, I got to walk around and look at all the yogurt toppings & flavors. they do have a rewards system, so make sure to sign up for that! my drink was a bit too sweet for my liking, but I just have personal picky-ness with my coffee... i'd come back again and again. customer service is key! read more

Met a friend down I-10 for lunch and was searching for a place to grab a coffee and do some work. Saw a couple places in the area but Tree House stood taller than the rest. They marry craft coffee with frozen yogurt, which is a hit with both the young families with kids and the young yuppie business professionals or college students. So when the weather is hot right after lunch, expect a pretty cool vibe with families and kids sitting alongside business folks with laptops. They really hit two niche markets. What really made fascinated me about Tree House was their cold brew coffees, in which they had three: the cold brew, the nitro version, and the Japanese. The Japanese is a cold brew made from beans from Ethiopia, cold brewed for 16 hours and then made using a tall siphon. She said it's also a hit with the kids since she has to take out a ladder. Talk about raising the next generation of coffee drinkers! I opted for the nitro, which was cold brewed for 12 hours. They served it promptly. I really loved the delicate ale like taste and the smoothness. There was not a strong bitter after taste, which I don't mind but I think it really speaks to their quality of their coffees and grinding and brewing. It was fantastic. What a relaxing work atmosphere as well. The tables are small but you should be able to find a plug for your laptop or phone or choices Now I can't wait to try the Japanese! Or maybe the 1885 which is an espresso infused with Dr. Pepper. Now that's something you don't see at ordinary coffee places. I would agree with one of the other reviews that I would love to try both (frozen yogurt and coffee)- but not at the same time. So guess that gives me a good excuse to come back again! read more

Wondering with my daughter last Saturday on where to get a nice coffee place close where she lives, we found this jewel hidden on Memorial Dr. Ambiance: low key, relaxed mood. Lady at front: Meh, maybe it was not her day. Coffee: I ordered a Macchiato and my daughter ordered a Cappuccino. Macchiato was excellent! The coffee they use to make this expresso it is heavenly! Cappuccino was very good as well. Food: We ordered Chocolate/Nutella croissant to split ; they warmed it out for us. It was decently good. Barista: she was very nice and she explained to me a little about the origin of their coffees, et cetera. ** Extra credit*** They also have "Self serve** froyo on the premises. My daughter said she definitely will go back to try their "Nutella/gelato style froyo" I will go back to try their Nitro coffee! :) read more
