I grappled with whether to take off another star because I was very upset that a different container was used than what we agreed (including sending her a picture of the very specific base I wanted). I deferred wriitng this review to be clear-eyed in sharing with Yelpers my feedback on her work. Unfortunately, this project was not in the immediate Bay Area and it wouldn't have been cost-effective to use a SF-based florist for such a small job. Based on a local recommendation and the limited planning time, we simply went with this florist. In addition to selecting the specific vase, I also gave her pictures (and descriptions) of the flowers and color-hues we wanted, followed by a few conversations to ensure there was no ambiguities. Imagine my surprise when I showed up and saw different (and less than full) arrangements. I was disappointed (very), but decided there was nothing I could do at that point and didn't think it was professional to make a scene. Perhaps it did not occur to tell clients you are making changes in their order ? I could not tell if she had selective hearing or felt she knows best re: a Client's preference. (BTW: In a 2014 post, I read a similar complaint.) Although in subsequent comments it doesn't seem to come up. [I am not a "clueless" client as I am a designer that has worked with some of the best florists in the SF Bay Area.] Thus, Be aware that his designer may make changes and not consult with you. If it does not matter, then this review may not be relevant. But if you do care that your vision and input is being followed, please put in writing the agreed upon terms. Although I did get the order in writing and therefore, I suggest adding a line that states: THE ORDER CAN'T BE CHANGED WITHOUT CLIENT'S DIRECT AND PRIOR APPROVAL. In closing, I will give her a pass on the flowers used, as sometimes the seasonality can affect one's choice. However, her decision to use a different vase than what was agreed upon and shown in pictures, (with dimensions and size), did not work for me. (Note: The vase she used also didn't fit the decor which made me even more irritated. ) OVerall, it was a miss for me with this florist. Although I can't stress enough what a lovely person she is !

The persons delivering were a lovely older couple that took great care in assuring my gift was at its optimal best before handing it to me. They had a slip of paper with my name and address and a space for my signature as proof of receipt of the arrangement. I admired and appreciated the personal touch of this company.
