I went in today to their office to see about getting a C wire installed so that I could install a…read morewireless thermostat. The lady behind the counter was short, snippy, went down the hall to tell another employee something who then looked at me and started laughing. The heater, a 325K BTU, is 14 feet in the air. I did the installation of it a few years ago. I just had my knee replaced and I was looking to hire someone who could help wire a new Thermostat cable that would accommodate a C wire. Someone that knew what they were doing. The entire cable is open in a metal building. I didn't want to have to climb the ladder and was will to pay a reasonable fee to have a "professional" do that. Instead, what I got was crappy customer service, people laughing at you and the btw we charge $215.00 per hour. Go somewhere else where the counter help at least is polite...and they appreciate your business.

I'm really disappointed in my service I received from Stan's Heating and Cooling. I had them come…read moreto service my pellet stove for the upcoming winter. They came in and charged me almost $400 for the service call. Last night was the very first time I started the stove since it was serviced, and it still makes a horrendous screeching racket every time it tries to feed. The service techs told me they had tightened something internally to address the problem, so I called them back this morning to tell them it's still making the racket, only to get a call back from a lady who explained to me that they had come out to "service" it, but what I now apparently need is "maintenance" so they want to charge me another $100 to come out again. Their warranty is only good for 30 days, although I had no need to start the stove until last night, so that '30 day warranty' is exactly like no warranty at all! I'm in my 70s, on a very limited income, and I feel like I'm getting ripped off. So, my advice is if you deal with these folks, don't count on their warranty and be prepared for premium prices for inferior work.

I can't say enough good things about Old school! I had a somewhat unique problem with my wiring…read more.. instead of showing up and attacking my wallet Sean let me know right away it wasn't indicative of anything large and all my components seemed to be working fine. He began troubleshooting and we came up with some real solutions on the spot... did i mention that i called him on a Tuesday morning after i woke up to a dead furnace and no heat? and he was there that same afternoon? We didn't get it nailed down that day, lots of things it could be, but he kept communicating with me as the problem would go away, my furnace would function for several hours then go dark again. I have a packed schedule during the week and Sean communicated with me and kept me in the loop, even stopping by to help me setup and install a new thermostat that i decided on. Life happens and some things came up keeping Sean from making an appointment to get things fixed permanently... but he let me know and offered me several alternatives and was very apologetic. any of those things he offered in the mean time were above and beyond the typical "tough shit" response you get with the fleet guys. we rescheduled a few days later and my problem is fixed right and i am absolutely confident if i have any other issues Old School will be there when i need them. Absolutely positive experience with something that would have been very time and money consuming with anyone else. The integrity and customer service of these folks simply cannot be beat! Many thanks from a very Grateful new customer in Fruitland! You need anything HVAC, then you need to call Sean or Crystal at Old School!

They put in a rescue motor which didn't blow any cold air whatsoever. Alan from A-1 came was was SO great! He asked for all that had happened, and then slowed down and explained how an AC works, what possible things could go wrong, and invited us to watch as he worked so we could learn. To try and keep this short, Alan discovered we did not need Freon, the original command board was completely fine and reinstalled our original command board so the previous vendor could come get their new board. Alan also found out that the complete motor wasn't broken but rather than just a component. Lastly, the rescue motor had the wires crossed so it was pulling air in rather than pushing. He had cold air blowing within 20 min of work while the other vendor took 9 hours and no air ever came out. By the next day our AC was completely fixed for half the price. Due to Alan's notes, and giving back the new control board, we were able to receive a full refund from the prior company. The owner also reached out afterwards to see how everything went and make sure there was nothing else needed. They really went the extra mile at every opportunity! 10/10 would recommend to anyone! Honest and trustworthy company!!
