A day later my friend called and said that all the items that were delivered were damaged and that it would be quite some time before they even got new ones in. I talked to some of the others who also got furniture and one other said their stuff came damaged as well. For the price of their stuff it's not worth getting it if it comes damaged or is dirty upon arrival

I've been looking for a couch for my small apartment for several months now. I've sat on hundreds…read moreat this point; visted over 10 stores, both here in St. Louis and back home in Peoria, IL. I knew what I wanted, and I was probably being a little picky with color and fabric, but I was not finding it in any of the stores.; whether it was a big box store or a smaller, more expensive store. On the day I visited Furniture Marketplace, I had already been to 5 other stores that day alone, so my patience was wearing thin. I was greated by a lady who I later found out was the owner of the store. She explains how their store operates: a small family run store selling only furniture made in the US, carrying name brand furniture as well as small business built furniture. Almost everything in the store is customizable as far as fabric, configuration, the insides, which was very appealing for my situation. She leaves us to look around more and the next 2 couches I sit on, I love. Up until this point I have not loved a couch. So I decide between the 2 and then set to work on picking out a fabric for both the couch, and the 4 included pillows(!!). There are over a hundred options for the brand of couch I had picked, so I had no problem finding a few I liked. At the end of the day I have purchased a small sectional with a chaise on one end and 4 inlcuded pillows for, I will admit, more than I was hoping for, but after the explanation of how the couches are built, I am very very happy with my purchase. I know this couch will last me many many years. I am also on a payment plan, so the extra cost is easily spread out over 12 months. Planning to update when I get the couch! Also, the dog was so friendly and a good distraction while we waited for paperwork and the like and the family who owns it even offered us soup lol

Go somewhere else. We stopped by this store because of the convenience of the location. Sandy the…read moresalesperson immediately directed our attention to the most expensive mattress in the store and insisted it was the best out there. We tried it and liked it but wanted to try other mattresses. She continued to hover over us trying the upsell every single model. My husband and I couldn't get over how pushy she was. We agreed on a mattress and were going over paperwork, when Sandy "accidentally" added on a $500 box spring to our purchase that we never agreed to. We asked her about this and she insisted that we asked for it. Finally she agreed to redo the paperwork and take the box spring off the order. She told us that the mattress should be delivered in no more than 4 weeks. Fast forward NINE weeks and the mattress still isn't here. My husband has called multiple times for an update and they just keep telling us they don't have an estimated delivery time. My husband called finally this week to cancel the order and Sandy HUNG UP ON HIM. Furious, I called and demanded the order be cancelled and Sandy was so rude and passive aggressive. She even had the audacity to tell me my husband was lying about their conversation. Hilarious. Order canceled. Mattress Firm will never get our business.

Extremely displeased with the Memory Foam Beautyrest mattress this particular Mattress Direct sold…read moreus less than a year ago. We were told memory foam is the best for my chronic Rheumatoid Arthritis. When we expressed concerns about memory foam creating too much heat, and making us too hot in the middle of the night, we were reassured that this particular mattress had a gel cooling agent that would prevent any of that. Fast forward nearly a year later, my arthritis hurts worst than ever when I wake up in the morning, and my partner has started developing back issues he never had before. We're both less than 40 years old, mind you. During warmer months, we sweat and get miserably hot in the middle of the night. My $500 Macy's mattress gave me more support than this. And yet, we cannot return this mattress with our "warranty" because it's not defective, per se. It looks as it did when we bought it. Now, we'll most likely be spending another $2,000 to purchase a regular innerspring mattress from a different location. (That's kind of the trick with Memory Foam, I guess. It gives no support, yet goes back to its original "look" as soon as you get up - nullifying any kind of warranty return.) I'd recommend NOT buying a Memory Foam mattress (of any sort) or shopping at Mattress Direct.

Sheryl made all the arrangements for it through email so all I needed to do was drop it off. On the day of drop off, Jeff looked at it and seemed excited to see it restored, which impressed me and made me comfortable in my choice. He suggested adding a cushion but I wanted crewel needlework fabric like the original seat I remembered, which I assumed they wouldn't have. Jeff stated that he knew someone that might be able to help and made a phone call. Moments later, photos of fabrics were sent and I had a crewel pattern selected. So the estimate was adjusted to include a reupholstered seat with springs and seat foam. Approximately 8 weeks later, my rocker was ready and I'm delighted with the outcome. This rocker has been handed down through my family and will go on to my children and their children. It's an investment in our family history and the care Jeff's team took to restore it is admirable. It could have been "just another rocking chair" to them, but Jeff appreciates the historical significance of family heritage and the respect for furniture that has survived the Civil War era and beyond. I strongly recommend Jeff and his team to return your heirlooms to their days of glory.
