Like another reviewer said, the shop interior is quite dusty. The blocks of melt and pour along the shelves had gone sticky from humidity and exposure. I also believe the fragrances were cut, if not old and faded. Most every product is at least 30-60% more expensive than online retailers like Bulk Apothecary or WSP. I'm all for shopping local whenever possible, but I can't justify paying nearly double for old, dirty stock. The convenience just isn't worth it. Not when you can order online and get my supplies in 4-7 days. It sucks to say considering how sweet the proprietor was, but the store is in desperate need of a refresh before I even think of recommending it to anyone. There's a reason why most of the positive reviews are from a decade ago.

The last time I dropped off about 4 or 5 to be filled and chose some really nice scents for the spring/summer. They fill candles once a month and once they are ready for pick up, a text will be sent out. I received the text while I was out of town, but I plan to stop by this weekend to pick my candles up and cannot wait to burn them over the weekend and over the next few weeks. The whole process is simple and the owner is super kind and helpful.

They offer a wide variety of scents but my favorite thing about this place is that they offer to fill a candle in any container! And old heirloom glass, a homemade piece of art, an old candle container, they will refill it at a very fair price! They continue to support local charities and always give back. The first thing that caught my eye was an upcycled flannel with a vintage MTV T-shirt sewn onto the back. I had never seen anything quite like it! We learned that the owner handcrafts them using vintage flannels and old concert or graphic T-shirts, making each one completely unique. It was such a creative idea, and I loved seeing something you can't just find in any big-box store. The rest of the boutique was just as fun to browse. There were great-smelling candles, adorable ceramic mugs (my friend couldn't resist buying one!), essential oils, and all kinds of unique gifts and home décor. It was one of those stores where you keep finding things you didn't know you needed. One of the best parts of our visit was chatting with the owner's husband and his sister-in-law. They were so welcoming and genuinely fun to talk to. We even got to hear the story behind the shop's name. Pixie Clementine is actually their dog! There's an adorable photo of her behind the register, and they told us how his wife convinced him they needed a "shop dog." As it turns out, Pixie prefers hanging out at home, so she's more of a mascot than an employee! Between the one-of-a-kind items, the friendly conversation, and the family atmosphere, this boutique was such a memorable stop.
