I was walking by this store and so glad I went in. I was looking for a newborn baby gift for a couple on their second child. Let's just say the gift I needed to get had to be perfect. One of the associates, I forgot her name offered help and I told her the backstory as to how I needed this perfect gift and she suggested a monogram baby blanket. So many options on font and colors (more than baby blue and pink - thank goodness) that we found the perfect color. Not to mention I needed the gift that day so I can travel with it and they were so graciously accommodating. The tried and true local shops delivered. When I lived in St. Louis, Sweet Boutique became my go-to spot for gifts, home décor and anything monogrammed. I even registered here for my wedding. To say I miss this little shop is an understatement. I still try to stop by if I'm in St. Louis for more than a day or so. The selection here is always wonderful and well-curated. A large majority of the inventory can be personalized in some way, and some of the personalization (such as monogramming mugs or tumblers) can be done in a matter of minutes if the right people are working. The items that took time to personalize or had to be ordered were always ready on or before the promised date. Brands that can be found here are Kate Spade, Lilly Pulitzer, Nora Flemming, Spartina and others, in addition to some goodies from local artists. If you like shopping local and want a unique gift or something for your home, this is a great place to try. read more

I could spend hours in this store. I live out of town but every time I come back to St. Louis to see my family I stop in this store. Lots of cute personalized items, St. Louis specific gifts, and fun gifts for brides, parents, friends, etc. I bought some St. Louis themed serving platters for my friends over the holidays and they loved them. Only downside? I wish they had a website to order stuff from (not just a Facebook page). So I could order from out-of-town. read more

I work across the street from this c harming store. They have been open for a few years and I had no idea they were there. If you have not been I recommend you check it out. They have all kinds of gifts that can be personalized with initials or monograms. Pricing is reasonable too. They also have some of the cutest baby stuff including books that I have ever seen. My wife and I were in there getting a gift for a friend and was under impressed. The young lady working wasn't very helpful at all when looking up our friend's registry. Ordered a Nora Fleming platter that took (TWO WEEKS) to get monogrammed and paid for an ornament to go with. Picked it up, wrapping was terrible and no ornament. Now have to make another trip to Clayton to pick it up "with receipt." This is a Cat's Meow wannabe! Do not recommend. read more

My sister said there were a few things in here she wanted for Christmas so I went to look around and didn't get greeted by any of the employees. When I walked around the corner of the store an employee looked at me and started laughing which and sighed heavily. I wasn't spoken to until I was about to leave the store. Rude employees and no customer service. Good place to go if you want to be judged you for your appearance. Obviously not a gay friendly environment. Won't be going back. read more

Very cute little boutique in downtown Clayton. Location is great. Store has some great items. Everything from baby clothes to bridesmaid and bride items for bachelorette party (very tasteful) to candles, to jewelry, to clothing, St. Louis Cardinals items, to purses, to cute child birthday party items. We found a water bottle that we liked, but it had a monogram on it, and we asked if they had another in the same color. We were told no, and so we prepared to leave, but the sales clerk said, "We can remove the monogram. It is just a vinyl sticker." I asked if doing so would damage the product and she assured me it would not. She took the water bottle into the back to remove the monogram sticker and asked the other clerk to ring us out. We paid. Big mistake. After waiting and watching both young women try to "scrub" the sticky substance off, they showed us a water bottle that had the prior monogram clearly delineated, only now it was simply in glue. I asked for my money back and was told that the store policy was "store credit" only, and no refunds. When I pointed out that we had only purchased it because they both suggested the removal of the monogram and assured us this was "no big deal," the older of two teen clerks said, "Well, you should have told me you did not want to buy it!" Disgusted, we took the store credit - which we will not use. My daughter and I have shopped for gifts there before, but we will not return. read more

as a business owner you should be able to take criticism and perhaps build a better business on it. instead of hearing she gave poor service to a customer and apologizing and making it better, the owner is reporting the customer. to who? i have no idea. she is unresponsive when trying to be reached and handles the business very unprofessionally. if you can find another shop to go to, please do so. read more

WORST EVER! I will NEVER step foot in this store again. I have never met anyone as rude as the people who work at this store. Not only do they not greet you, which is especially awkward when you are the only customer in the store, but they eat their lunch at the register...VERY unprofessional...Chew with your mouth closed! I went to this store for the first time and bought a product as a gift...less than 20 days later, I decided to go with something better. I went into the store where again, I was the only customer (tells you something when its a Saturday and you're the only one there) and not greeted when entering. I stood at the counter where the employees were eating, still with no "Hello, how may we help you?" I had to initiate the interaction by asking to return the product. I was given a very disgruntled attitude in return. Apparently this store only does store credit...not posted ANYWHERE in the store nor was it on the receipt or told to me when I made my purchase. To make matters more frustrating, the rude employee said in an unapologetic manner than my purchase could not be returned because it was over the return time limit...again, where was this policy posted??? NOWHERE! I asked how they could enforce a policy that no customer was aware of...she replied, "You expect me to tell every customer what my return policy is? Hah! That's ridiculous!" No joke, this was her response! I would recommend that no one go to this store. Spend your money where it will be appreciated. read more

This is the CUTEST store in town! I walked in looking for a last minute wedding gift. I found the perfect gift and they even added the bride and groom's monogram to it while I waited! They loved it. I didn't even have to wrap it, they did it for free. I finally found my one stop gift shop. And I will be back to pick up a few things for myself soon ;) read more
