Atlantic told me they tested the battery several times and could not find a problem but would exchange for a new one if it would make me feel more comfortable. As well this is a public service announcement, so you do not have to spend 3900.00 on a new differential for your Jeep. I am not a car guy. Let's establish that. I am an international best selling author that knows very little about cars. so in leaving Long Island and my local Jeep dealership, I venture in to Oil Depot. As a creature of habit, I go to the same place. How tough is it to get your oil changed. Then, there is what I think to be oil leaking in my driveway. SO I bring it to their attention. Nope no oil leaks. While I think it is oil, it is actually differential fluid. So after nine visits, they never checked the DIFF once. Never, supposedly it is a simple thing, and easy to access. High turnover and laziness led me down this path. So a month without my Jeep, I call the owner, lets call him angry Tony. Basically tells me to get lost because he did not make it leak. Angry Tony does not care about his customers, and i am out 4,000 dollars due to Oil Depot's negligence and Oil Depot's negligence only. So now I actually have to Lawyer Up, wherein Tony said it will never get anywhere. In the mean time, when you see this place, hit the gas and run for your life!

Then they told me I could put a different brand on the right front which is not a good idea only later to sell me two tires for the front. Okay. Anyway, went to pay, had other work done and it came to$1,100 which I had agreed to. Went to pick up my car and wanted to see the work order BEFORE I paid to check for charges I may have not agreed too, math errors, etc. The guy I dealt with told me he had never been ask by anyone to see the receipt before paying in the last 9 months or so. I said that was their problem and he turns his store computer screen around for me to look at. After seeing a bunch of computer BS he finally printed out a copy I could double check . Didn't appreciate the insult. Have bought a lot of tires at this location. All he had to say was, no problem, print out the work, let me see it and I would have paid and been out the door. I wouldn't of had jiffy lube do my brakes anyway, but still! My response to Jiffy lubes comment... I would not expect you to "account for my outside mechanic", but I would expect you to listen to a loyal customer who has brought a legitimate concern to your attention. And this mechanic is someone who I have known and used for more than 10 years. My instructions to him were as follows "I know my brakes were bad because the good folks at Jiffy Lube examined my vehicle and determined they were so go ahead and fix them". My "outside" mechanic called me and said that he will replace them if I really wanted him to, but there is nothing wrong with them, they have plenty of life left and I can't add any brake fluid because your brake fluid is full". So at best, your people are incompetent and your "standard evaluation process" that you stand behind is flawed. And at worst your people are liars and frauds. I fear for the elderly or the people that just trust you. Would they have just replaced them or been honest in the long run and said no you don't need anything? I have the documentation to prove it and I think I will contact the Consumer Division of the FL State Attorneys office and file a complaint since you do not seem to want to take ownership of the problem.
