I definitely am grateful for Kat and Jacqueline, the phone receptionists ; the online booking site ; and the OG OD [Oriental Doctor] acupuncturists Cathy, Dan, & Debbie, (haven't seen the owner Frank yet... but I will.) As a social bee, I've also met so many patients & regulars, the people here that have shared with me their stories & especially notable is Tom who showed me how they're doing the Electrostim and acupuncture on his head for Parkinson's ; and a multitude of people coming in for their various ailments like knee pain, facial rejuvenation, allergies, addiction, seizure, side effects from cancer [lethargy, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, anorexia et al], a pregnant lady who was breach, hoping to turn the baby (!!!), anxiety, addiction, insomnia, neck & back pain etc. & much much more. Of course, like all things, no treatment lasts forever. But it can definitely build up. So for people that don't know, the needle is so small like a hair & you can barely feel it, and you may not even feel it at all !! It's not even sharp or like a blood draw. The price for this community acupuncture is $30, $35 or $40 pay as you can. So it can be very economical for your ailments because it is community acupuncture meaning instead of having your own private room, you are treated in a living room full of 7 reclining chairs. I can't say enough good things about Cathy. She supported me throughout my pregnancy and postpartum, and most recently helped me through postpartum Bell's palsy. The improvement I've seen has been incredible--my facial movement is coming back so quickly, and I truly feel like I'm healing faster than I ever expected. Great Acupuncturist here Cathy, Dr. Frank and Debbie. I haven't tried Dan. The parking lot can get full but I haven't had a problem ever. Plenty of street parking if needed. It is community style Acupunture with lounge chairs and option for table, first come first serve or let reserve ahead. Sliding scale payment of $30, 35, 40 which is very affordable. There are Chinese herbal supplements for sale, Battle Balm back cream and others. A great place for healing and the community. read more

I had severe pain in my neck. I couldn't turn my head to the right or left. The pain was unbearable. Cathy Riccio worked on my neck and I was able to turn my head pain-free in one session. A week later I still am without pain . I can turn my head pain-free and the good news is my posture has gotten better because I'm pain-free. I had pains in my lower back as well and that has been reduced. Cathy is a very professional person and a great listener. but more importantly, she is a good person. I have been by Treasure Coast Community Acupuncture several times and wanted to try it. They are located in the 555 complex on the very east side on the same side as Taco Shack. I've been struggling with some plantar fasciitis pain induced by running for a while and thought I'd try and get some relief through acupuncture. Being a new client you simply go to the website, register and you can pick the available treatment modality time you want. I really enjoy that ease of making an appointment. If you haven't been to a community acupuncture center it can be a little different. When we walked in (Wife came for a massage) we were greeted and I sat down in one of the available chairs while Super Cute Wife waited a bit for her massage time. I was in one of 6 covered recliners with other people in various treatment phases. I hadn't experienced that before and after taking it in it wasn't really an issue. You sit down and relax, and wait for the clinician to get to you. Deb Barry was my acupuncturist and after asking some questions began treatment. Once the needles are inserted you simply relax until your body tells you that you are done. People often fall asleep during treatment, however I did not. Just nice and relaxed while feeling my body reacting to the treatment. After about a half an hour-45 minutes I was done and soon after the needles removed. Checking out was easy and I got some additional instruction on stretching and directed to Youtube for a guide to help. Payment is based on a sliding scale of what you can afford. Ranging from $20-40. Cash is accepted as well as credit cards. My review is the day after initial treatment and I do feel a change in my condition. I have been to see Dr. Frank twice now. He is so nice. After just meeting him, I felt like I had known him for years. Very warm and welcoming. This place is AMAZING! Super easy to book appointments online. I booked my 1st appointment at 3:30 AM the day of!!! I had never had acupuncture before, and I was completely at ease! If you've never had acupuncture, the one thing you probably wouldn't expect is how RELAXING it is!!! Wear loose clothing, so they can easily get to the areas. You're in a room with up to 6 other people. And speak softly. The chairs are very comfortable. After you are all set up, just relax. When you're finished, just signal Dr. Frank. I was a skeptic about acupuncture for a long time, but my brother swore by it so I wanted to try it out but since most practitioners were quite expensive and it isn't covered by insurance I kept putting it off. Well, boy was that ever a mistake, a massage therapist friend of mine recommended trying group therapy at TC Community Acupuncture because it is fee-based. I went there for Essential Tremor in my left arm and stayed for bursitis treatment. It truly does the job, the tremor is slowly lessening and the bursitis is nearly gone after just 2 treatments. I highly recommend their services and, in particular, my therapist Shams Wesley for her calm demeanor and knowledge of what's needed, and the spirit with which she greets me each day. My husband and I made an appointment on the same day. Not only was it affordable, they knew what they were doing. My husband had neck and shoulder pain that made it difficult to turn his head. My low back was killing me. We both had been in the car for 17 1/2 hours one day and then 10 1/2 the next. (hurricane travel) We thought the pain would go away on its own. It did not. We had a great session. My husband had even fallen asleep. The next day I was pain free after over 10 days of being miserable. My husband was feeling better but I scheduled him for another visit next week. The office was clean, the procedure went smoothly. I was a little tense about being in a room with others, and it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. I had spoken on the phone to the doctor prior to the visit and he had answered all my questions. Deborah was very knowledgeable and put us both at ease. Best experience ever! read more
