Softwave Tissue Regeneration Therapy I was having issues with recurring sciatic nerve pain on my left side, in addition to some type of tissue injury in my left knee caused by a trip/fall. An orthopedic specialist referred me to a pain management clinic. From past experiences, I knew that a regiment of steroid shots and physical therapy would not resolve my issues. During a chiropractic appointment, I spoke with Dr. Travis about my newest pain, and he suggested I try a new technique he recently started offering: Softwave TRT. It is a therapy program that involves 8 sessions of high energy sound waves being transmitted into the tissues in and around the problem areas. This technique basically helps the physical body speed up its natural healing process without drugs. It generally takes up to 12 weeks before the body completes its healing process. Working construction for over 45 years has taken a toll on my body. Dr. Travis has been my chiropractor for 20+ years. I have often referred to him as my "Chiropractic Hero." No matter what hurts, or for how long, he ALWAYS fixes me! He has shown me stretches to do daily, (typically I only do them until I feel better ). Yesterday was no exception. Decided to go here today because I've never been to this chiropractor here in Bastrop. Told him I have sudden severe hearing loss in one ear, with and he sticks this "gun" in my ear which jars it and my head to pieces! What if the internal ear structure is broken and healing? As I was in terrible need of a chiropractor and knew that I would need one long term and that there is a shortage of chiropractors accepting insurance in Bastrop, I wanted to like this office. I really, truly did. However, the receptionist (the doctor's wife?) was so rude that I never even got to see the doctor. She was snide when I accidentally showed her an insurance card from an insurance they did not accept. Then when I got up to ask her a question while waiting for the doctor to call me, she left me standing there for five minutes holding my 25 pound baby (the reason for my being there) while she gossiped with a friend of hers. Finally, I realized that I would rather pay another chiropractor cash than tolerate her rudeness every visit, so I politely asked for my paperwork back. Before handing it over, she said, "Is there a problem?" "Yes," I said, "I've decided not to seek treatment here, and I would like the paperwork with my private medical information on it." She handed it over with a smirk, to which I gave a polite "thank you" and turned to leave. She yelled after me in a Cruella de Vil-ish tone, "Have a nice day!" This exchange convinces me more than ever that my instincts were right about leaving. And I am perplexed to this day about the juxtaposition of the icily rude receptionist and all the bible verses, crosses, and Christian iconography that surrounded her. read more

We had a very disappointing experience here. The receptionist was on her phone and I could hear her personal conversations. The chiropractor did not wear a mask and scoffed at me when I asked him to wipe down his bench, which should be done anyway even without Covid. Our appointment was at 5 pm so there had been people on it all day. His X rays looked like his machine was from the 60s. They kept trying to upsale their supplements.
