Patty Baillie was wonderfully helpful in planning a cruise for myself, my daughter, 17 year old Granddaughter and her 17 year old friend. Patty has booked cruises for me in the past, but this one was a bit tricky given the range of ages (3 generations) and interests. She advised on which cruise line best suited our needs, booked "across-the-hallway" rooms that we requested (not easy since we had two types of cabins, helped us plan our itinerary and took care of ALL the details. cided that Im not a pro travel agent, why keep spending hours looking for the right vacation by myself. I was willing to pay a bit to use the services of someone who would know all the best choices. I had a completely open summer and nothing to do with me and 4 in my family. I called and emailed and met with Bunny. She was lovely, gave me information and brochures. I wasn't really set on anything except snorkeling. She picked a place in mexico that she thought we'd enjoy but it didn't have snorkeling. I talked to friends and asked her to also quote Hawaii. She wasn't willing to quote an additional destination. I mean I only had the one Mexico location and she wasn't willing to look at another destination for me. So, I stopped into my local AAA. They quoted me a Hawaii vacation and their agent said the rates are much less expensive mid summer. So, I went back to Bunny, asked her to quote the Mexico trip at the middle of July and when she did, WOW the difference in price, more than $1000. I ended up using AAA and going to Hawaii. I also ended up looking up a third place that a friend recommended that she bought on Costcos site, that location did not fit my budget, families of 5 often have a difficult time getting one suite, they want you to have two adjoining rooms, but for giggles I looked up my Hawaii vacation on Costcos site and saved another $1000 by saving the exact same itinerary and showing it to the AAA person. They price matched it. 5 people, 1 week in a condo, 1 block from Waikiki Beach, with a full size rental for $4000. I think it's a steal and I'm really excited the kids get to snorkel. Overall Sterling Travel was courteous but just not anything special and they didn't earn my business. read more

Two words: Melody. Smith. I have never had a travel agent more interested in my personal satisfaction and cater to my needs for site seeing and exciting adventure. This review is a little late in writing, but I wanted to make sure she and those in management as well as future clients knew how much she went above and beyond for me. I wanted to cruise through Europe, so Melody made a special appointment with me to review the Mediterranean Tapestry Cruise they had this past August (4-16th). I have always wished to visit Barcelona, Rome and Venice, and she knew that would be the trip for me, based on my previous travels and my expression of how passionate I am about culture. Melody listened to my desires, and gave me many options and listed all details in order for me to partake in the cruise. Patty Baillie is absolutely amazing! She booked us a 12 day trip to Amsterdam, London, Cork and Dublin for an incredible price. In each city Patty booked us a hop on hop off city tour which was an excellent way to get around the cities and also see all the most popular sights. She included all transfers between the airports and hotels and vice versa. We were having some trouble getting in touch with the transfers to confirm our pickup and we got in touch with Patty and she jumped on it immediately. She got in contract with them and made sure we were confirmed for the following day. Our return flight was cancelled due to engine troubles and as soon as Patty found out about the cancellation she was checking all the flights to see if we could get home any sooner. After we were rebooked Patty watched our flights and spent time on the phone with the airlines to ensure we were going to make our connecting flights. Overall Patty exceeded our expectations. We walked in and everyone just looked at us like we didn't belong. Finally a women asked what we needed. I asked if maybe they had any maps and the woman got really snarky and just said "no." My husband and I have used Sterling Travel Inc twice within the last 18 months. Our first trip was to the Beaches of Normandy & Paris, France. It was magnificent from the time we were met at the airport in France until we were taken back to the airport 8 days later. The two travel agents from Sterling who traveled with us were most helpful and quick to answer any and all questions. Thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we signed up for the Panama Canal Cruise leaving Miami on Nov. 3 and arriving in LA on Nov. 19. We worked with Patty for the entire process - from our initial booking, picking our excursions, reserved meal times. Most important - I sent Patty emails almost daily asking question after question about what to expect on our cruise. She answered quickly and accurately, with lots of information. My family ( 6 of us) worked with Rosanna Brown and Tauck Tours to make our dream trip to London, Paris and Italy come true. It was no easy task! Rosanna was able to get my daughter and I two extra days in Paris and London, and all of us two extra nights in Sorrento at the hotels where our tours were booked for a great value. She also had to figure out the logistics for extra flights for me and my daughter to go from Paris to Italy and time them to so all six of us would arrive in Italy the same day. We never had to worry about one detail (and I am allll about the details!) she orchestrated everything beautifully. Her recommendations for the tours and travel tips made all of the difference. The tours were such a wonderful experience. No waiting in lines, amazing food, 5 star hotels, excellent tour guides. We will never book a tour with any other tour group other than Tauck, they literally think of everything. Bonus; my son proposed in Sorrento, Italy. The hotel staff went all out to make it so special. The chef sent special courses to their private table on the balcony, it was a night the newly engaged couple will never forget.
