There's no embassy or consulate here in Arizona so I was looking for a place to apply for me. I called and they required no appointment so I just walked in and was seen right away by Tina. She made the entire process super easy and even gave me her email so I can send in some documents I had forgotten at home. The whole process probably took me about 15 minutes. If you are applying for a Chinese Visa, bring your passport, a 2x2 photo and your license. You are able to download their form online or fill it out there. Super quick service and I was able to get my Visa approved before my trip. Their office is located on the West Wing of the building so it's the farther building in the back after you enter the parking lot. Suite 106.

She looked over my paperwork to make sure everything was in order, she told me my visa would be ready in 2 weeks. 1 week later I received a phone call my visa was ready. Very fast and efficient, I was very glad I went to Global Travel. I would definitely use Global Travel again.

I have lived in Arizona, specifically the Phoenix area, for most of my life and have driven by Tovrea Castle thousands of times. It was so cool to be able to walk the grounds and get a peek inside. I would highly suggest entering the lottery, it's free and some people have better luck than I did and can get in sooner than 5 years. This was an insightful tour mixed with great storytelling and history. The basement with all the artifacts of the family and learning more about the area makes me proud to be a part of Arizona! Worth the visit!

Finally after passing it so many times I was curious enough to look it up. I googled "cake shaped building PHX" and it was the first result. "Tovrea (said tov-ree) Castle aka A jewel in the Sonoran desert" Since 2010 the City of Phoenix purchased, renovated, and opened it for tours. The very abbreviated story with this place is that some homesteaders from the early 1900s owned the land, sold 277 acres to a wealthy Italian man. Alessio Carraro had built a fortune in the sheet metal business in the 1920s from San Fran. He planned to build a hotel resort surrounded by a housing subdivision on 277 acres, Carraro Heights. The castle was built near the timing of when the Great Depression set in. Carraro wanted out, he sold the castle and some amount of acreage (for a fraction of his investment) to Della Tovrea, wife of cattle baron E.A. Tovrea. She lived there until her tragic death in 1969. Nearby is the Stockyard Restaurant, built by E.A.'s son so cattlemen had somewhere to eat near the stockyards. That restaurant still exists today. I plan to check it out. If you want more details and full story, go take the tour :) however tickets are not easy to come by. Tours sell out many months in advance and they started using a lottery system. I bought my tickets months ago. However worth a try to go. I wouldn't say its the most amazing thing I've ever seen and the use of the word "castle" is a stretch. I've been inside some real castles in US and Europe, however it's interesting and a fun thing to do and it satisfied my curiosity! :) Per their website- The Ticket Lottery for Fall 2022 Tickets has ended and all tickets have been distributed - look for last minute cancellation tickets. Ticket Lottery for Spring 2023 Regular Tours closed on October 15, 2022 and Winners will be notified via email starting November 1, 2022. https://tovreacastletours.com

I can not recommend this company enough. They are very responsive, great rates, super clean…read morevehicles and very professional but friendly drivers. We used them during our Spring Break trip to Scottsdale for airport pickup/drop off as well as an all day trip. We had a late arrival and had our daughter in tow, I was very pleased to land and immediately get a text from the driver that they were there and ready when we were. The communication was very good and we grabbed our bags and met them at the door. Heather was our driver and she was such a joy. She's also a parent and I think she recognized that it had been a long day. She interacted with our five year old during the 30 minute ride to our hotel and we were really grateful for that. She also picked us up when our trip ended and remembered our daughters name and that she needed a booster seat. We also had a driver for a jeep tour that we did and had them for about 7 hours. Our driver was Sam and he was very kind and helpful. When we arrived for our tour it was a little confusing where we needed to be and Sam hopped out and went to figure it out for us. He also helped us with finding a place to eat. We didn't expect the tour to run as late as it did and while we were out he researched some places we could quickly get into without a reservation. That was such a great help and unexpected. There was a lot of driving involved and we ended up keeping Sam for longer than expected but it was all handled smoothly and it was so great that we could relax and let him handled getting us around. We later learned that he had purchased a booster seat for his vehicle when he learned our daughter would need one. It's this kind of thoughtfulness that really made our trip to Scottsdale memorable. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to anyone visiting the area.

We were in a handicap room (no idea why) and the floors weren't concave enough to keep water from going everywhere. The door wasn't in a track and it kept slamming into the counter. The common areas were clean but the pool was not heated which I find strange as nighttime is cool in the desert. Additionally, there is no hut tub. Found odd but whatever. The breakfast was not free and yall should see the prices. $12 for a bacon, egg, cheese biscuit. 5$ for cereal. No sir, I am not paying that for breakfast unless I'm at a diner and it comes with sides. Staff were mostly friendly but the front desk was not kept supplied with extra anything. I stopped by several times and the desk always had to go find some and send it up. The bartender was friendly and helpful but they don't open until 530pm and the drink prices are outrageous. $15/day to park. Absolutely ridiculous rates and there was plenty of spaces left. There were strange brown flakes all over one of the beds when we pulled back the sheets

Upon arrival, the front desk environment was visibly disorganized, with multiple upset guests present. The front desk representative, Kristen, appeared overwhelmed and frustrated. After being assigned my room, I discovered it was in a filthy condition and clearly had not been cleaned or properly prepared for occupancy. I made several attempts to contact the front desk and was repeatedly placed on hold without explanation. When I eventually reached Desire at the front desk, her demeanor was rude and condescending. She stated she had spoken with the General Manager, Chase, who directed her to contact a manager named Victoria. Desire advised that Victoria stated housekeeping was no longer available--despite it being only 5:00 p.m.--and that I would need to wait until the following morning for any corrective action. I was further advised that I could "go to another hotel." This response was unreasonable and dismissive. I am disabled, and due to the MLB Cactus League Spring Training, all surrounding hotels were fully booked. No alternative accommodations were available. The hotel therefore knowingly left me with no option but to remain in an unsanitary room. I was informed the room will not be clean. I requested clean sheets and basic cleaning supplies in an effort to address the situation myself. I was not requesting routine housekeeping services; I was requesting that my assigned room be properly cleaned before sleeping in it. I did not request a different room--only that my existing room be brought to an acceptable standard of cleanliness. For a Radisson property to place a guest in an unsanitary room and then refuse to correct the condition is unacceptable. Guests should never be placed in the position of requesting supplies to clean their own room or bedding. I had to change and clean myself. This incident reflects a serious breakdown in operational standards, guest service protocols, and management oversight. It represents a failure to meet Radisson brand standards for cleanliness, guest care, and accessibility, and constitutes a breach of the hotel's duty of care to provide safe and sanitary accommodations.

The fitness center offered exactly what I needed for a workout while away. They have a great restaurant and a breakfast buffet. My only reason for giving 4 stars is because others I was traveling with were staying in the same hotel and booked the same type reservation, however they were given breakfast coupons and I was not. Upon asking the front desk, they said the others shouldn't have gotten them initially. The staff ended up giving me a free voucher, which was nice. The buffet is $10 if you don't have a voucher.
