Overall my grandfathers services were very nice. The casket was beautiful, he looked great in his…read moresuit, and the facilities were very nice the days of the viewing and funeral. However, there were things here and there that really didn't go well the during the process. During the services, the clergy they provided called my grandfather by the wrong name, and she spent minutes throughout the ceremony shuffling through her binder randomly picking out readings that didn't really flow at all. We truly felt they called her about two hours before the services and she had no time to prepare. We were also pretty rushed during the carrying of the casket to the burial site from the hearse. We weren't given clear directions on how to carry or how to lineup, and even though we had eight pallbearers picked out the gentleman from the funeral home decided to help carry the casket from the back. They were very nice and helpful to my grandmother which was important to us but I hope they make sure they know the name of man in the casket the next time they start the services.

Kevin and his crew used their knowledge and judgement to guide us through with real compassion and caring. We wanted a basic cremation so Kevin listened, advised, and made it happen. They handled pickup, crematory, death certs, and obits. We decided as a family that we would take the amount that would have been spent for exactly the same service elsewhere, and donate it to our favorite charity. This was the greatest value that Kevin gave us: spreading some good karma out of our loss. Unreservedly recommend.

He walked us through everything over the phone, was very patient with all my questions and ended up handling everything for us so that we could focus on other things. When we landed in Syracuse, we had to hit the ground running to take care of other odds and ends. Kevin met up with us eliminating the need to stop by his office to obtain the death certificates. He definitely went above and beyond to make things easier on us - amazing customer service!
