We had the best experience at the Trap Room in Spartanburg on Father's Day, June 16, 2024. I highly recommend it. We had an amazing time. My kid, my husband, and I are still talking about how well the clues were planned out. It was very well thought out, and we absolutely loved it. It took us 48 minutes. We will definitely be going back. My children are already asking to go at least once a month. Take your family and have fun. We recommend going with exactly four people for the best experience. This was a great escape experience! The Voodoo room puzzles were challenging and provided a lot of contemplation and back and forth with our group. When we requested a clue our host provided "hints" which would help move us forward with our thinking, without giving too much a way. We will definitely return to try another experience. Our only negative at all was that two of us were over 50 and with the low lighting in combination with the small printing on the locks made it difficult for our older group members to participate in all aspects read more

Great rooms, friendly staff, and unique themes! We have played all of the rooms now and I feel like they are all very worth playing! Our first 30 minute room we ever tried was the camping room (as purists we originally thought 30 minutes wasn't long enough), it turned out to be one of our favorites here! Voodoo is challenging but was probably the all around favorite room here, although the true crime aspect of the Izzy room was great! My friends and I have done 2 escape rooms here at Trapped in the Upstate: Lizzie Borden and Voodoo Shack. Both rooms were so fun and immersive! They were both pretty difficult but not so hard that we couldn't figure it out; definitely had to use some serious thinking skills though! We had Mark as our host both times and he always does such a great job; very responsive and gives the best hints without giving it away! We will continue to keep using this place for our go to escape rooms. read more

Amazing place and people! Game master Anderson was really nice and always ready to help! He was very attentive, and even provided helpful hints before we realized we were stuck! My boyfriend and I played The Legend of Lizzie and had a phenomenal time. The puzzles are challenging, without being illogically complicated. The atmosphere was perfect, and by far our favorite of the many escape rooms we've played. 10/10 would recommend, and the complimentary water adds a 0.5 point bonus! read more

This was our 2nd visit to "Trapped" after doing so for the Christmas themed room last holiday season. Congratulations you are our first "escape"! My daughters (9 & 13) and I have enjoyed escape rooms across the country. "Trapped" is definitely amongst the best we have ever visited. The team members are friendly, engaging, and inviting. ABSOLUTELY great time here! The rooms are detailed, creative, and we had a blast! We had only booked one room, but after having so much fun, we decided to do one more. Ok so the directions will get you totally freaked out because it doesn't say what you should really be looking for HOWEVER the room was fantastic! We took our daughter here for her very first escape room and chose one of the Christmas rooms! It was geared for any age but still challenges you. We will definitely be visiting again! read more

it was wonderful me and my group had time. If you have never done this before you should try it a very comfortable place instructions were given clearly and if you go with a group, it's more fun.
