We paid approximately $450 for what they call the "protein" share of the CSA which runs from May 7 thru July 30. I've received two bags of protein so far which have been less than desirable for the price paid. The first bag contained 1 chicken, stew beef, 1 long Italian link sausage and and one pound of ground pork sausage. This week I received one 3-1/2 lb beef roast and one 3-1/3 lb chicken. Last week I had to supplement what I received and again this week will have to do the same.. When I signed up for this endeavour I thought I would get a larger quantity of meat than I have so far. I can assure you that I won't be doing this anymore nor will I be recommending this to any of my friends. I can purchase more thru Omaha Steaks for the money and have a better quality of protein!

Greenbrier Farms is a classy event space that is down to earth. The porch series is a Wednesday night of live music and great food. Friendly staff!

Me and my husband booked our venue for multiple days since we held a traditional Nigerian Wedding with a traditional western wedding which we know as the white dress ceremony. When I tell you the details, and the amount of time and energy Jessica and their team spent on our wedding brings tears to my eyes. My day was beyond perfect and breathtaking. I looked forward to every phone call and the accommodations made for our Nigerian wedding made my family and friends feel so special. I don't have words for Jessica and her team. Jessica isn't just a rockstar but was extremely detail oriented, communicated everything from start to finish, took care of any stressors in the background and kept me stress free from booking the venue to our checkout of the bridal suite. Oh and let me tell you the bridal suite was spectacular! The main thing I came here to is Greenville is gorgeous with lots of pretty venues but what sold me and my husband was Ron, Ashley, and Jessica. We even adopted a barn cat from the wedding Venue! So not only did I get the perfect day we got the perfect cat!

I got married at South Wind Ranch in September and it was a flawless event!…read more Booking and Planning: I was contacted quickly after submitting a booking request and met with the owner, who was friendly and clearly cares for the brides that come through his venue. Shortly after booking I was contacted by the planning team, who were immediately amazing. We were assigned Jessica as our primary planner and she was INCREDIBLE from day one all the way through the event. She made the initial planning process so easy by providing vendor options and communicating back and forth to get things booked quickly. She answered all of my emails or texts immediately and always provided such helpful information. I left each meeting with her with a huge sense of relief and confidence that I was in good hands. I had my wedding planned with her help way in advance, which really reduced the overall stress level. Rehearsal/Day Before: I chose the 2-day event package so I was able to have my rehearsal dinner onsite the night before and then stay with my bridal party in the bridal suite. Jessica ran the rehearsal quick and efficiently, making sure it was fun but that the whole wedding party was prepared for the next day. The suite was super convenient, not to mention decorated so cute, which made for great "getting ready" pictures the next morning. It was relaxing to wake up leisurely and sip on coffee with my girls before the wedding day got started. Day of: It was perfect! The entire event was planned on a well thought out timeline and Jessica and her team kept that running so smoothly throughout. They handled everything with the vendors and all I had to do was show up knowing that everything was being taken care of. She made sure I ate, had everything that I needed, and packed a to-go box of food and cake for us for after everyone left. Jessica also handled the gifts and brought them to the suite so I truly didn't have to worry about anything at the end of the night. We were able to stay in the honeymoon suite that night so we didn't have to travel when the wedding ended. The next morning everything was already cleaned up and packed up for us. Me and my family didn't have to lift a finger for set up or tear down, which allowed us to all just enjoy the event. People always say to expect something to go wrong on the wedding day, and I can truly say that I had nothing go wrong on mine. That was due in large part to Jessica and the entire South Wind Ranch team. I very highly recommend Jessica and SWR for any event!!!

A little research led me to the Facebook page of the falls where I called the owner and asked permission to come on property to see the falls. FACEBOOK PAGE: https://www.facebook.com/Amelia-Falls-1461265534108910/ I was delightfully surprised that not only was he willing to allow a strange dude from Georgia access, he also wanted to meet me there to give me a personal tour of his waterfall as well as another private waterfall owned by one of his neighbors a mile or so down the road! OUTSTANDING! He told me the waterfall and surrounding acres have been in his family since his great relatives traded Indians for it more than a century ago. It was passed on to him after a close relative retired to his heavenly home. He then spent several years getting it cleaned up from overgrowth, fallen trees and river debris. He shifted soil to create a level area for gatherings and since has hosted more than a dozen weddings and family gatherings. The waterfall is named after his mother, who in turn was named after American Aviationist Amelia Earhart (no relation). *** While this is PRIVATE PROPERTY, it is also available for private events. Their Facebook page reads as follows: "Beautiful waterfall property for outdoor weddings, receptions, picnics, barbecues, cookouts, family or school related reunions, church socials, and more. Our venue provides opportunities for distinctive ceremonies, receptions, reunions, and picnics. The grounds can accommodate seating for up to 200 guests with the waterfall as the background for your special occasion. The waterfall is located just 400 feet from the paved road making easy access for all guests. * Electricity on site * Large camper on site with AC/heat for Bridal Suit * Portable restrooms and outdoor sink on site * Refrigerator with freezer available on site * Platform in front of waterfall * Outdoor lighting for night weddings * Falls can be lit at night * Event Insurance must be obtained for events Each wedding is unique, and pricing is customized for your needs and number of guests." *** FINAL THOUGHTS It was such a pleasure meeting the owner! Truly an upright kind fellow that also invited us back up to his nearby campsite for summertime cook-outs and bluegrass music concerts on the lawn. In all my years of hiking I can honestly say it is a tad rare to find owners of natural waterfalls that want to share them! It is with his permission that I created this yelp page... so please, please respect his property and call ahead to gain access. Otherwise you will be trespassing in an area where the vast majority of landowners carry guns. 2021 / 115

We were trying to plan a beautiful wedding for a military couple stationed in Japan. His family is from Greenville area. There were to be between 100-120 guest. The venue manager said the venue would hold 150 easily with no issues, as stated on the website. This is completely incorrect. The venue only has 10 sixty inch round tables for guests to be seated at and those tables only hold 8 comfortably. It seemed once they had a deposit then things started to change. The venue only had 50 chairs and we would have to rent an additional 60 as an extra charge. The entire function was cramped. We had 111 people confirmed and 6 no showed. So with 111 confirmed we had to have an 11th table that they did not have. They charged us to rent that extra table and chairs too. The venue was too small and should change their website. Another mis-truth on the website is that you have several choices of vendors. This is not true either, we were told that the caterer Southern way has exclusivity. They were more expensive than others we got menus from, so that was disappointing. The manager, Steve was rude and condescending at most times. Communication was difficult. On the day of set up, he used our muscle to help put together an Arbor that we had to pay $150 to rent for 30 mins. That's unbelievable to me that he has no employees to help him and that it wasn't included in the venue since it was in their photos online. It seemed there was an extra charge for many things, such as tablecloths. We were also charged for a security guard that was never there. At the end of the function, we had to tear it down and take the trash to the dumpster a block away. Really? Why would you rent a place that is this disorganized and includes nothing. It was a HUGE disappointment! Spend your money elsewhere. Ask lots of questions before you sign a contract. I believe this military couple was taken advantage of at contract signing because of the lies they were told. The Upper Room Greenville should be ashamed of themselves.
