They have a small lounge area, but the seating is comfortable and there is a tiny fireplace, nice to have on a cold rainy day, I was almost disappointed they finished with the car so quickly! They said that was partly because it was in such good shape that there wasn't a lot to investigate, so very good news. The other thing I noticed was that I was treated with respect and given a rundown of the results. This has not always been my experience as an older female at other places. I've been his customer for a number of years, and every job he's done on my truck has been top notch. I have a story to emphasize his honesty. I recently had a few "nagging issues" that I asked him to estimate for me. One of the issues, a loss of fluid problem, was initially estimated well north of a $1,500 dollars to fix. The truck has over 300,000 miles on the clock, so you sort of expect those things, but this one was "one I could live with", so I deferred that repair until my budget would allow. Meanwhile Ray had the truck for another issue "in the vicinity" of that loss of fluid problem. Contrary to his original diagnosis, his other work around that problem area uncovered a hidden loosened tubing connector. A couple of wrench turns (free gratis), and we're able to discard that expensive estimate. I've been in shops before where I might have never been informed of that discovery, and would have paid for the original estimate.

The cause was transfer case failure. And valve cover gaskts was Not, the fix. We picked up tje car saturday to head back to eau claire. We didnt make it 45 minutes and were broke down again with same problem. How he missed all the gear oil on the bottom of the vehicle is beyond me. They obviously didnt put on a lift and look very harc. Ive sent emails and left a message. With no response at all. I am not saying they ripped us off, but did mis diagnose and kids are looking for a partial refund to put towards the transfer case repair . Since i am not getting a response, i would suggest a different shop for repairs, as they seem to "guess" here. A "honest" shop would look into this and do the right thing.
