I mentioned wobble on driver side did not go away, mechanic suggested new tires. So I brought the car to EBuck Automotive, a quality mechanic. They took pictures of the missing bolts aswell as installing said bolts and checked the freon, along with replacing the control arm that was causing the wobble making the vehicle unsafe to drive. Unlike boss who tried to just get more money and replace the tires instead of actually figuring out the problem.

Return the rental tool in its original condition and receive a full refund when you bring it back.) Regardless, Skip's has been my go-to for auto work. Sometimes I don't have the time (or focus or room) or I'm in over my head. They will suss out the problem and do the work at a competitive (it used to be *too* low) shop rate. Apparently it's a different company now. I brought my car in to replace a purge valve. It's a busy time of year for a lot of us, and I was willing to pay to get it done. I walked in and explained the issue. They asked for a diagnostic fee. I had a flashback to my local auto repair shop where I had an ignition coil out and it wound up costing $1,800 total for a 15-minute, top-of-the-motor, single-bolt, $75-dollar-part coil replacement. Which I have done twice since with a ratchet and a $75 coil. I left and changed the purge valve myself. 30 minute, top-of-the-motor, single-10mm-bolt replacement of a $55 part. And now I'm back on the road. I'll stop back, but I'm not so sure I like the way things are going.

This business has now been purchased by Golden Valkey Tire. I brought my personal vehicle here right after the transition, before I realized what was different. I had a fine experience and got quoted slightly above competitors for some repairs. The experience was reasonable overall, although I did feel like everyone behind the front desk was really judging me for not wanting to proceed with some repair options that I were presented to me. I came back a few weeks later with company vehicles since my employer had used this place in the past, and the vibe had deteriorated so much more. This truly is a Golden Valley Tire owned operation and it's not good. Things went wrong from the scheduling of the appointment. The person on the other end of the line was completely fumbling through the system and muttering to himself. He couldn't figure out how to get things to save even. Of course he didn't tell me that though, so when I showed up there was no appointment. I gave them the simple instruction to give the vehicle an oil change so that it would be ready to pick up later. They emailed me a full inspection report which was thorough and detailed, but guess what? They didn't do the oil change. I guess they wanted some sort of approval, but it was a busy work day and if I tell them it's the only reason for my visit I expect it to get done and the vehicle to be ready when I come to pick it up. This place is a mess right now. I hope they can find a way to improve, I understand transitions can be hard, but...proceed with caution if you're considering being a customer here.

As I continued to drive it out to where I had to go the Check Engine light went on. I had this problem before which is an Engine Misfire. On one of the Sparkplugs and Cylinders. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. I had a new radiator installed due to a major leak 2 months ago. I called them 2 day a later and…read moresaid it's dropping coolant still I was informed there were still air bubbles in the coolant. I couldn't afford the huge jobs they said I needed. I had another mechanic look at it and there were hose clamps that were not even finger tight and a cracked "Y" connector for those hoses which have everything to do with coolant. I just went to speak to them and now they say they pressure tested it and there was no air in the system . They kept switching the story what they did and didn't do. The actual mechanic said that Y piece cracked because of overheating. Well it has not overheated since before I got the radiator. They treated me as if I was stupid or lying. I'm assuming because I have breasts.. They basically were calling me a liar. Why would I take the time and energy 2 months later for a 200$ fix? If I didn't KNOW they had missed something important. They gave me so many excuses and stories and made it seem like I was trying to sw indie money from them . If you're a woman....do not deal with this shop because they'll try to get you to spend as much as.possible and they'll do a half ass job. THEY ARE NOT ABOUT THE CUSTOMER . All I wanted was for them to take responsibility for those loose hose clamps and for letting me drive out of there with a cracked 20$ part. Don't even want the 200 it cost me to have it put in by someone doing it as a side gig.. Customer service is terrible and I will never take a vehicle there again! $1300 I spent and I , again. GROSS I was quoted $115 for a total detail job before they saw the car and I fully expected them to add at least $40 for the amount of cleaning they would have to do. They did not add any extra money, they cleaned that car till it looked as new as it could, and it was done in record time. They did such a good job! everybody was surprised how good it looked!!
