My husband contacted someone for painting services, and I contacted a few others for quotes. The first person to respond to me was Excellence Painting! Gerardo was so fast with email response time, and he was the ONLY company that could come and see the place that same day I called him. We scheduled for him to come to our place at 5PM (to provide an estimate) and he was on time! He came in, was very friendly, and walked around to see what work we were looking to get painted, and left. Later that evening, he was the only one that sent me an email with a quoted estimate. I asked him for an estimate for labor only, and then with paint. He provided both estimates! After reviewing multiple quotes, I decided to go with Excellence Painting because I felt that Gerardo, from the beginning, was very professional, and responded in a timely fashion! I felt I could count on him and his crew! He was also very competitively priced!!! The next day, Gerardo stopped by the place, and helped me finalize paint colors based on what I was looking for. He told me he would start the next day, but had a project in the morning to complete, so he would come in the afternoon. He came later in the afternoon (around 6-ish), and he started the painting. Then he came the next day with his crew, and finished the majority of the place. He finished everything yesterday! The place looks beautiful, as I will add photos of his work. My husband and I are VERY HAPPY!!!! Biggest thing for me - Gerardo was ALWAYS responsive, we primarily spoke through email, but he would respond within 5-10 minutes! He was always very energetic and happy! Whenever he said he would do something, he did it! He was never late, he was very articulate and detailed! I would absolutely 1000% recommend him!!!! I am very lucky to have met a great person such as Gerardo, and we will absolutely be using his company again for future painting needs!

I originally spoke to Luis about doing the carpentry work- fixing the drywall and painting what had been hit by water. However as the plumbing kept taking longer and longer to finish, Luis stepped in and said he could complete the plumbing job. Luis made my job seem like it was priority and scheduled workers to come out in a timely fashion and finish the job in a very timely matter. The plumbing is working well and the drywall work/paint work was fantastic and it looks like there was no damage in the first place. They did a great job with the drywall work and matching the paint colors. I will say that Luis charged a good amount more than the other plumber(who only did part of the job), but since the results were there and they showed up on short notice, I was happy with the work. I would definitely be happy to work with Luis in the future.

Also he added to the job and painted on the back side of my TV, windows frames. I know they have lots of good reviews but NOT really finished like a professional contractor should. Real cheep job. Luis would not come back to the home because he said he was afraid of us. All we did was call and call and text. I am admittedly, a difficult client to please - I do my own research on the best products and practices to make sure I am getting things done right. Often my paying attention to the fine details is a turn off to contractors - who just want to do what they've always done, get paid, and leave. We decided to hire Eric because of his energy & enthusiasm about getting our job done right. He was receptive to researching various products and arriving at the conclusions together with me. He would call his product reps to gain insight on the primer/top-coat systems that would give the best results for various substrates - such as porch floors and aluminum clad windows. I loved that fact that we were a team with a common goal. Eric's pricing is clear and transparent, and I was especially fond of the fact that materials are billed out separately directly from receipts. This ensures that you are always getting the products you pay for, as they have no incentive to purchase inferior products to pad their profit margin. The crew is full of very skilled painters who work hard. They arrive on time, and were always friendly and respectful of our space. Our Victorian home is full of intricate moldings and is 3 stories tall - and all their lines are crisp. There are many established painters who work primarily in the Oak Park area. We took a shot on Eric, and do not regret our decision for a second. What sets him apart from everyone else is that he truly, deeply cares about the job he does for you.
