A Life-Changing Experience at Select Therapy in Elk Grove…read more As a mother, watching your child struggle with pain is one of the hardest things to endure. My 13-year-old daughter, a competitive soccer player, was dealing with persistent hip, knee, and back pain that was beginning to affect not just her performance, but her spirit. That's when we found Select Physical Therapy in Elk Grove--and everything changed. From the moment we walked in, Jasmine and Ally made my daughter feel seen, heard, and supported. Their expertise in pediatric therapy was evident, but what truly set them apart was the genuine connection they built with her. They didn't just treat her pain--they empowered her. Through thoughtful, targeted therapy, they helped her regain strength, improve mobility, and most importantly, eliminate the pain that had been holding her back. But what I'm most grateful for is how much my daughter looked forward to each session. She felt safe, understood, and uplifted. Jasmine and Ally created an environment where she could thrive--not just physically, but emotionally. When she "graduated" from therapy, she was actually disappointed to leave because of the bond she had formed with them. Today, she's back on the field, pain-free and stronger than ever. As her mom, I can't express how much that means. Thank you, Select Physical Therapy, for your incredible care, your compassion, and your commitment to helping kids heal--not just in body, but in heart.

Here's an update from my last review. I was told by the Elk Grove Select Physical Therapy that they…read moreare not the ones to contact about the bill I received even though I was told a lie about the cost. I contacted the main office as the EG office said to. After several back and forth with the main office, I was told that it was up to the Elk Grove office to change my charge. I called the EG office again. They finally got back to me and said that there was miscommunication between the front desk worker and me and that they talked with the worker about how to be clearer, but I had to pay the bill. I said there was no miscommunication as I clarified with the front clerk twice that I would have a $0 copay and not the $87. She said yes and that I was covered. This is NOT miscommunication! It's the old bait and switch! I then said to the manager that the worker should pay my bill then, since she was the one that lied to me. The manager just chuckled and said that wasn't possible. I have to pay. I have started filling out a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will keep fighting this.

An excellent healthcare team, supported by great desk and support staff…read more After 13 years of severe pain, 30 (yes, thirty) surgeries, and four medical devices...I am slowly starting to feel better after just a few months of help from the doctor & his team. Hope is restored!

Place is a joke you don't even get to see the real doctor my first visit was with their head nurse…read moredidn't care to read my medical history I've been in pain management around 9 years and only one doctor the hole time I come to this place and I'm instantly treated like I'm a pill addict and a doctor shopper. I have 14 bolts and two rods in my lower back I don't know why they accept my referral with no intention of filling my medication instead they give me like 20% and a weaker medication. So I've been in pain every day for the past 9 months stuck in this place like they trapped me and refused to do anything about it won't do a referral to a new clinic and tell me they don't do them then they do so just the runaround like normal with them doctors said he called one other place and it was denied if that's even true and his assistant saying the same thing now they have kicked me out because I had to reschedule one time in 9 months because she booked me in Yuba city not the city I live in and have went to the other clinic in at least 4 months they never said anything about it being 90 days out from my last visit and didn't care to tell me that so my last visit with them he called me a criminal and ask how many other pain management clinics I've been in and I told him in ten years he's my second doctor with no care like I lied about that to because they didn't even care to read my medical history or records now they're putting a bad tag on me when all I've done was be patient with them even though I was in pain every day for the last 9 months here avoid this place they are very rude if you don't agree with them. I did injections and cold barely walk two days later they never even cared to ask if it helped. What could be improved at this place being sued for foul malpractice and shut down they treat people like garbage.

Without…read moreexaggeration, we have requested records for patients seen in September- December 2018 and still have not received them. All the negative reviews on here are true. Avoid this place at all cost! You would think that a doctor would be professional, courteous and at minimum, a mature, rational adult. This doctor is childish, defensive and irrational when you ask her to do her job. No one has asked this office to do anything other that what they are medically licensed to do. (We asked them to send us their reports and bills, that is all!!) When you ask this doctor to fulfill her professional obligations, she becomes indignant and can even resort to name calling. Yes, this "DOCTOR", will resort to name calling when you ask her to do her job and issue out a report that has already been paid for. She asked for $35 dollar checks, in her name, cashed them and still has not issued the reports. I will not resort to inferring anything about this doctor and her methods. How she chooses to run her business is her choice. The provider that you trust with your medical care, is your choice. Everything written here is 100% honest. I have no malice, or ill intent. I just believe that people should know the truth. This whole experience has been utterly unacceptable.

She is my mothers 4th dr in 5 years and finally we found a specialist that is not just about business. Other doctors I would take my mother would do random test and make her wait and never help my mother just act like they are just to charge my mothers insurance. From the first time we met Dr sheikh she made us feel like we have known her for years. She has been helping my mother with her nerve damages! She has also gave my mother a list of things to do at home that has been helping. She is a genuine human and not just about the money. The issue I noticed is not her it's some of her patients who have no respect for anyone and start problems with other her staff for no reason. Anyways I want to thank you dr for this past year and helping my mother out! God bless you!

Another patient was experiencing this challenge, but the staff was able to easily assist. Given whatever reason you are at the PD&TC; it was my specific experience that the staff actually put in the "TLC"...perhaps they rename the center "PD&TLC". Anywho...who is responsible for my experience and who did I interact with here? Well, who didn't I interact with is more like it. I was lucky that they provided me with a large envelope with their names so I could recognize them specifically. First, Krystal...not only was she very helpful but I observed her with others as well. The nurses...the three amigas.... Shannon, Sunny and Kameko...all of them brought their own personalities to the party. I love my party hat! The warm blankets were a super comforting touch, and a little refreshing apple juice was a nice touch.... like a 5-star hotel! I can't forget Scott, the anesthesia guy! Explained the process and what would take place. It's really great since I'm guessing some have the fear of the unknown and not only Scott, but the rest of the staff I mentioned above, were very reassuring and explained everything. Can you imagine, not only do they have to perform their jobs well, but they also have the emotional aspects to manage. I bumped the IV in my hand and they fixed that straight away. That was reassuring as heck! Seriously, I can't thank you enough from my heart to all of yours. Oh yeah, hearing them interact with each other and just chit/chat was also comforting...could you imagine if there was dead silence...no bueno! For post-op, when being wheeled out to the car, I believe her name was Nancy, but I was still feeling the effects of the anesthesia...she was wonderful as well. If I have to come back for anything else, I would love to request the same team! If I'm in the area, I'd love to stop by to bring y'all some goodies!! 5-star care, and that's for pre and post op "CARE". The only recommendation I could make is to perhaps "update" the waiting room. I think the building is a bit older which comes with it's own inherent challenges. I didn't think it was a big deal, but if you compare that waiting room to other hospital/professional waiting rooms, perhaps subconsciously it would be reassuring to the first-time patient. Just trying to think of something that could be improved...lol.
