Bliss Reiki Healing

Bliss Reiki Healing

Not knowing much about Reiki, I went in for a session with Jill open minded and ready to try…read moresomething new. I have had an autoimmune disease since childhood, and recently started to pick up again, and I wanted to try something away from conventional medicine, which I've been using since I was 3. The room was relaxing, and I could feel the positive energy in the room, I even got goose bumps at one point. I will definitely be going back to see Jill again.

From the owner: I am a Holy Fire II Reiki Master and have been working with energy healing for over 4 decades. I…read moreoffer Reiki treatments as well as small group and individual Reiki classes. I stand out because of my extensive background in nursing, which helps me to treat a wide range of heath and illness situations. I work with a wide range of clients. Some clients request stress reduction and relaxation while others are in need of other forms of healing. I bring knowledge and experience of working with clients who have acute and chronic illnesss, anxiety, depression, and spiritual imbalances. My goal is to help clients relax, energize, rejuvenate and heal. As former nursing administrator and professor, I am able to support my students in learning the knowledge and skills necessary to give Reiki to themselves, others and even teach Reiki themselves! Whether you come to my private studio for treatments or classes, you will be treated with love and compassion.

I love this studio. It's clean and their approach to yoga is wonderful: serious about yoga but also…read moreextremely down to earth, friendly, and helpful. I've taken classes with Kip, Kelly S., Kelly C., Anjali, Sonia, Judy, Matt, and Lisa and even though their styles are all COMPLETELY different, I loved every class in a different way. Your first class is free so you can try it out without having to pay. Most of the classes are 90 minutes but some are only an hour if you're looking for something shorter. Single classes are $18 each but if you purchase packages online, you save 5%. In addition, they also offer student/senior deals on TOP of that so it truly pays to book online! My 6-class package came out to $68. My only complaint is that on hot days, it gets HOT in there. I've done hot yoga before, but this is a little different: it's just stuffy, humid, and uncomfortable. I'm not sure if they don't have A/C or just choose not to use it but if you're planning on going in the summer, dress lightly and bring a headband and towel. The Ramsey location has an overhead fan. They also have a brand new GORGEOUS location in Chestnut Ridge, although the air situation is comparable (and no overhead fan). It's also next door to a coffee shop and the walls are VERY thin, however, the coffee is great!

I haven't had the pleasure of taking class with every teacher who works at both this location and the Chestnut Ridge location, but the instructors that I have taken (Judy, Alane, Lisa, Rose, Tenley, Trish, Kelly S.) are lovely individuals, and incredibly knowledgeable. The latter is evident in not only the way they guide you, but the way they can move their bodies. It's so inspirational. I'm sure the rest of the teachers are no different. Recently they've decided to add a Pilates class, taught by the fabulous Ms. Anjali and I couldn't be happier! While this is a yoga studio, I think it was such a phenomenal idea to introduce Pilates into the weekly schedule. I'm crossing my fingers that in the near future I'll see this class offered more than once a week!

24 Hour Fitness - Ramsey

I recently joined 24 Hour Fitness and overall think this is a great gym. There are two floors, the…read more1st floor contains the pool, steam room, lockers, large class studio, stretching area, heavy bag and sauna. The 2nd floor is divided into two main areas, the cardio area and weight area (both machines & free weights). Joining was very simple, I sat down with "Nur" the Fitness Manager who laid out the available options. I went with the national Program paid annually. Some improvements I'd recommended are more abdominal machines like a Roman chair, I'd also like to see significantly more full elliptical machines, most of the ones there don't have moving arms, which is half a work out. Overall, this is the best value gym in Bergen County. Everyone I've met there is extremely curious and non judgmental. The staff is very friendly, always smiling when you check in and they do their best to keep the place clean. It can get busy during peak hours, but during work hours you'll have the place to yourself to do your own thing. The guest pass is a no brainer to be able to bring your spouse (who is on the treadmill in my photo). Like anything in life, the more you put into your workout, the better the results. This is a budget type gym, where you bring your own towel, but there are plenty of water fountains to fill your bottle. I'd rather bring my own clean towel and pay less for a place with lots of amenities. For the money I'm going to give 24 Hour Fitness 5 stars. The other gyms in the area are double the price and not all are national chains. Hope to see you all there in the future as we all get in shape.

I signed up for 24 hour fitness at Ramsey at Thanksgiving time. I've used the Ramsey gym as well as…read morethe Paramus gym. I'm very disappointed in the equipment on the elliptical and it's rattling and shaking as I'm working out. The equipment is not being kept up. This also includes the bikes in cycle class. A few weeks back the class that I like on Thursday night was canceled. they no longer have pump class on Thursday evening. One of the reasons I joined this gym was because of the classes. In the few months that I've been here classes have been canceled or there aren't enough classes for me after work. I use the elliptical religiously, but getting on the machines has proven to be a challenge. There are so many people using the machines and waiting in line to get on the machine and this impedes my workout. The women's locker room and restroom have been consistently untidy every time I've gone to Paramus it's very disappointing. I'm scared to use the toilet because they're just not looking clean and kept up. I also did a review for the Paramus 24 hour fitness on YELP and on Google reviews. The manager reached out to me and asked me to submit my concerns on their online portal which I did a month ago and no one has reached out to me. I've belonged to many gyms in my time and I'm very disappointed in 24 hour fitness
