My first time playing this course after considerable research. Michelle and I were looking for…read moresomething close to Lake Buena Vista where we were staying and this location seemed appealing because of the positive reviews, a personal recommendation and because it has a driving range. We arrived 45 minutes before the tee time so we could get in some range time and hit some putts. The check-in with Ryan was NOT a positive experience. The same Ryan I spoke to on the phone when I called almost 3 weeks before. I told him I was playing 9 holes SOLO and would have a rider, he confirmed there was a Vet discount. The rate he quoted worked but when I checked in he told me there was a $45.00 rider fee. I told him that was not mentioned when I called ahead of time. He said 'well, the person you spoke to should have told you'. I told him 'YOU were that person and I have my notes if you want to look at them. By now everyone in the Pro Shop is looking and I could tell Michelle was getting uncomfortable so I just paid it. Then we go to get a cart and we can't find an attendant. I start to put my clubs on a cart and then someone says 'you can't use that cart'. The young man proceeds to start taking my clubs off with no explanation. Then he puts them on another cart and Michelle and I are just looking at each other in disbelief. We finally get it all sorted and head to the drive range which is adjacent to the Starter. When I asked about the range on the phone, it was never mentioned you can only hit off mats and NO drivers allowed. We got paired up with a son and mother from Columbia, SC who had played there before. The course is very nice, lots of bunkers and water. In good condition for mid-February and the pace of play was good. I would not return, there are too many other better options and the Marriott Grande Vista in Orlando is a better choice IMO. After my return home, I got in contact with the GM and explained the unpleasant experience in the Pro Shop and got a refund for the over charge.

An okay course - fairly well maintained but also fairly difficult for a duffer. The consensus among…read moreour group - even the better golfers, was not positive.

A nice public course but very overpriced. Fairways are nothing to write home about on this course…read more. also golf course facilities are subpar. I recommend if you can play this course for less than $100.

First time Playing here…read more Conditions- 8/10 Tee boxes were the only thing holding back a 10/10. Some of the tee boxes patchy. Greens were just punched but I know if they were not punched these definitely would be hard, fast green! Fairway was very well kept and so were the bunkers. Views- 8/10 Just your typical golf views. Lots of water, you can see birds and turtles a lot, no gators!! You can also see Epic universe from the course which I thought was really cool! Also you can see the big hotel a lot as well. Difficulty- 7/10 I played the blue tees being a 19 handicap. I sometimes had to think on what club to use off the tee box. Lots of water so that will always play a factor. A good amount of bunkers, thankfully I did not go in any but there's always next time. But I say for a Jack Nicklaus company design course it was awesome. Hospitality- 10/10 The bag drop guys were really nice. Got there at 7am so sometimes the guys can still be grumpy but these guys were on it. The Starter was nice as well, letting me know the in and outs of the course for being my first time. After the round the guy offered taking my clubs to my car and offered water as well because it was super humid out. Keep up the good work! Value- 10/10 paid less than $70 to play. I don't know if it was because the greens were just punched but id pay $70 to play again easily. They offer towels, tees, and water in the carts. They have touchscreen gps in the carts. They have bathrooms on the course. Water refill stations on a couple holes. So they definitely make sure the guests are taken care of. Hopefully the summer rates aren't to bad because I will be back! Practice facility- 10/10 Range balls are included in your fees. They have mats and regular grass to hit from. Putting green and chipping area as well. Location- 10/10 Right off of I-4. Also right next to Epic Universe to if you wanna hit up the theme park after your round. Close to downtown Orlando so you can grab a bite after. I like the spot the course was at. Atmosphere- 9/10 The 2 other singles I played with were nice and respectful to the course. Its right next to a hotel so you see some of the workers near the course and they wave and say hi. They had a tournament held there as well that day so if they want to have tournaments theres its a good sign. Good vibes. Food- 9/10 They had a sit down place inside the club house. Did not look at the menu but seemed like its bar food. Cart girls were always coming around with your typical items. But yeah they are options for you while on the course!!

I recall one par 5 that was pretty long. Rental clubs were garbage. Rented a set for $30 but hey it was good to get out. I recommend and would return to play at the Reserves.

If it was possible to give less stars, I would. This was the WORST experience we have ever had on a…read moregolf course. To start, the course itself was mediocre at best when it comes to being manicured. Especially on the green where almost every hole had lifted grass around the rim which caused what should have been a no question success into a 1-2 additional putts. The golf cart girl showed up on hole 4 and then never again. This is FLORIDA and it was over 100 degrees with heat index and let's not stop there...their was NO phone service on the course so when you were supposed to be able to call and order food...jokes on you. Least to say God forbid you had an emergency and there is no way to get a call out (we tried on both of our phones and have different service providers). The only good thing which was not a reflection of Orange Lake Golf and just a reflection of the Ranger as a person was him running into us around hole 9 and we told him about the phone service/inability to order food and he came back and found us and brought us a few snacks to help us make it through until we left. I would highly recommend avoiding this course and playing somewhere that actually takes care of their course and is making sure all of their golfers are staying fed and hydrated during weather where it is VERY easy to have a heat stroke if you are not properly hydrated and have had food to keep your energy levels strong.
