I heard a country song once that went: "Wide open spaces..." That's what comes to mind when I think of Grand Cypress. I've never been to Scotland, but I imagine this is pretty similar. Jack Nicklaus designed "The New Course" paying homage to The Olde Course at St Andrews. The first and last holes are exact replicas of #1 & #18 at the birthplace of golf. The rest of the holes are Scottish links style with wide fairways, 100s of pot-bunkers, minimal water and a few holes that share a green creating huge putting surfaces. I had a blast here, despite paying on a unseasonable cold and windy day in Orlando, which lended itself to the illusion that I was playing overseas. Unfortunately, they are undergoing a renovation on the two other courses and the practice facilities at the moment. Otherwise it was a great track!

Grand Cypress New Course = Fun and Beautiful Day on the Links Played the New Course while at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. The golf club is down the road and accessible by shuttle. They are taking great care of the place and the staff is very attentive. Clubs provided for rental were a beautiful set of Pings that were sweet to hit with. All the staff you interact with are helpful and the Academy personnel aren't pushy. it's hard not to enjoy the experience. The course itself is an obvious ode by Jack Nicklaus to St Andrews. He even designed the famed bridge and walls into the course. From tee boxes to fairways, to greens, the course is in excellent shape. I can recall only one hole that showed multiple pin movements to mess up the surface. There are the usual Nicklaus risk-reward shots. I lost four balls trying to be better than I am. You know: Hit two great shots and one tends to get overconfident. Damn fairway woods and deep pocket bunkers! If your a fan of the game, this is definitely a course to mark off on your list.

Gorgeous course.

As good as advertised. Huge fairways that are still green in January! Lots of fun. Just hit away. The only complaint, forget marshals. Non existent. Slow play is grueling.

Great course, extremely well kept fairways and greens. Felt like I was playing a course in Scottsdale, AZ. Good service.

First time Playing here…read more Conditions- 8/10 Tee boxes were the only thing holding back a 10/10. Some of the tee boxes patchy. Greens were just punched but I know if they were not punched these definitely would be hard, fast green! Fairway was very well kept and so were the bunkers. Views- 8/10 Just your typical golf views. Lots of water, you can see birds and turtles a lot, no gators!! You can also see Epic universe from the course which I thought was really cool! Also you can see the big hotel a lot as well. Difficulty- 7/10 I played the blue tees being a 19 handicap. I sometimes had to think on what club to use off the tee box. Lots of water so that will always play a factor. A good amount of bunkers, thankfully I did not go in any but there's always next time. But I say for a Jack Nicklaus company design course it was awesome. Hospitality- 10/10 The bag drop guys were really nice. Got there at 7am so sometimes the guys can still be grumpy but these guys were on it. The Starter was nice as well, letting me know the in and outs of the course for being my first time. After the round the guy offered taking my clubs to my car and offered water as well because it was super humid out. Keep up the good work! Value- 10/10 paid less than $70 to play. I don't know if it was because the greens were just punched but id pay $70 to play again easily. They offer towels, tees, and water in the carts. They have touchscreen gps in the carts. They have bathrooms on the course. Water refill stations on a couple holes. So they definitely make sure the guests are taken care of. Hopefully the summer rates aren't to bad because I will be back! Practice facility- 10/10 Range balls are included in your fees. They have mats and regular grass to hit from. Putting green and chipping area as well. Location- 10/10 Right off of I-4. Also right next to Epic Universe to if you wanna hit up the theme park after your round. Close to downtown Orlando so you can grab a bite after. I like the spot the course was at. Atmosphere- 9/10 The 2 other singles I played with were nice and respectful to the course. Its right next to a hotel so you see some of the workers near the course and they wave and say hi. They had a tournament held there as well that day so if they want to have tournaments theres its a good sign. Good vibes. Food- 9/10 They had a sit down place inside the club house. Did not look at the menu but seemed like its bar food. Cart girls were always coming around with your typical items. But yeah they are options for you while on the course!!

A nice public course but very overpriced. Fairways are nothing to write home about on this course…read more. also golf course facilities are subpar. I recommend if you can play this course for less than $100.

Have to admit, seeing a burger listed at $19 both lunch and dinner did make me pause in deciding to go, but seeing it was an award winning burger, I figured next time I am craving one I would consider it. Weeks later I was in the mood for an iron boost and decided to try it, price and all. I chose the Above Par and man was it ever. The bacon is thick and crispy, the goat cheese gushes open at your first bite and the mix of burger, fig jam, arugula, goat cheese and bacon is so flavorful I was so happy I came to visit. The restaurant overlooks the Golf course which seems really nice. The vibe reminded me of going to lunch with my Aunt at her country club in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. I sat outside and the ambiance, service and views were so relaxing, if I could have eaten more, I would have picked a dessert to extend my stay. Definitely going back.

The new pavilion-style covered bays, enhanced lighting, and cozy lounge-style seating make practice so much more comfortable. I love the upgraded furniture, spacious layout, and overall high-tech feel. The monitor system and automatic ball dispenser are super easy to use--very sleek and efficient. Another huge plus: they now have a food court area that serves simple bites, snacks, and drinks. Super convenient when you're spending a couple of hours practicing. You can even order food and drinks straight from your bay, which makes the whole experience feel elevated and effortless. There's actually service now and staffs are great. Definitely nice service and worth the price. Plenty of open spots, great atmosphere, and a clean, well-designed space that shows they really invested in improving guest experience. Highly recommend checking out the new upgrades--Dubsdread absolutely nailed this renovation!

The city took over this location and I kind of expected it to be in the same condition as the Winter Park 9. Nope. It was not all bad but the core portion was horrible. Newly renovated snack bar and bar. Nicely done. Nice sitting area and the bathrooms best I have seen at a local course. I mean real nice!!! The staff were very nice but there was an odor of burnt plastic inside. Carts worked well but their geo fencing made no sense. I had multiple times it shut down well away from greens and tee boxes. Number one has the range down the right side. Wouldn't let me get within twenty feet of the marked out of bounds as I searched for my ball. Also how about sending someone out to police all the range balls on number one. Another tip. Have your mowers work backwards so each group only deals with it on one hole? We had a mower escort for three holes as we finished the front nine. Found it weird they were cutting tee boxes at 1pm. It wasn't wet. PRO SUGGESTION: how about a discounted rate until your greens get fixed. Many course give a discount during aeration season. Highlight was the guys I caught on two and waved me up to join them. Pro Tip: Tuesday has a ladies league so get out early or not at all. 5000 yards should not take four hours. Pro tip: I would skip this place until they get their greens figured out.

I really liked that they have QR codes at every table so you can order everything right from your phone and they bring it out to you, which makes things super easy when you're in a group. The food was actually really good too. The buffalo chicken dip and nachos were both great, and the chicken tenders were solid. The blue cheese especially stood out, it tasted homemade and was really good. Beyond the mini golf, there's a ton to do. They have foosball, ping pong, cornhole, giant Connect 4, and other games, which makes it more than just a golf spot. The golf is the only thing you have to pay for, so it's nice that you can still hang out and play games without committing to that. Service was excellent, especially considering how busy it was. Overall, such a fun atmosphere and a great place to celebrate something or just hang out. I'd definitely go back

In January of this year I did a complete shift! I started planning for a big 2027. I was told the most influential people are at golf courses. Well, I called a very good friend who happens to be a very good golfer and was invited to come to the PGA in Florida! Who would turn down the PGA? PGA tickets at Arnold Palmer range from regular tickets being $100 to the Orange Grove option which was a luxury package including all-inclusive food and beverage and clubhouse access. Two-day packages (Thursday and Friday or Saturday and Sunday) started at $2,000, while the full-week four-round package STARTED at $3,500. Arnold Palmer is well maintained and super swanky! I was able to talk to the volunteers and was shocked to learn that they volunteer to help run these events. Talk about Sports LOVERS! Geeeez! And they have done it for years! The golf course is huge! I had no idea that women wear sneakers to this event. I was there looking girly with designer sandals and a sundress and felt out of place. Ladies: come comfortable, you will be walking. Even VIPS walk. Save your designer shoes, this place is a golf course, full of dirt and plush green grass. Rookie mistake! Overall, loved this event. Didn't eat the food even though it was provided! See you next year!
