This is the first time we have played here since the major renovation. It is in such great shape and the walking made the golf very relaxing. I thought it would be he opposite. The walking carts are easy to pull and each hole is fairly flat to the to the green. The scenery is gorgeous and the staff is friendly. Winter rates were very reasonable $12 before noon. They are offering Glow in the Dark Golf on Tuesday nights from November to March. Cost is $25. Also we noticed the second nine putting course next to Casa Feliz. How fun! read more

Nice little nine hole in the heart of winter park. Fees were cheap. Rented a push cart, which was fairly minimal but had a cup holder! Score. It also had the magic sand hanging on it. Lord knows I need that. Came for a game early Sunday morning. Probably the best time to play since it's not too busy and it's not too hot. Hit a few rooftops; it's either a tight course or I slice it too much to the right. One of our foursome hit a parked truck. Oops. Had to yell FORE to some little old couple walking alongside hole 2. That ball was lost in the clover cover of someone's house. Greens and fairways in good shape. Course was a little wet so the ball was slower. Hit one par, a couple bogeys and a couple double bogeys. Worst one was over double par. Geez. But it's not a hard course, rather I am new to the game. Would totally come back here. Four stars for no cart person and no water stations along the way. Shop staff friendly; shop has a good selection of merchandise. Parking lot area under construction but seems to have enough secondary parking areas. I always drive by at creep speed on Saturday morning hoping a cute, single guy will hit my car with a ball so we can talk. That hasn't happened yet. Lol. I'll keep dreaming. read more

In my opinion, this is the best golf course in Orlando. It is not exclusive or expensive, nor are there any fancy amenities. But what WP9 does have is an amazing staff, outstanding layout, and the course is consistently in great shape. This is the type of course you can take someone who is just starting out in golf to show them how great the game is. You can also bring your +4 handicapper buddy out and they will have a great time too, enjoying the history and unique positioning of the course through the heart of winter park. If for nothing else, this small course just past the businesses of Park Ave. is a great place to just play golf. It's not necessarily challenging, there are no golf carts, and the holes are fairly short. Yet, it's only $12 to play 9 holes, and only $6 to go around again. It's quaint, affordable, accessible and nice. And although their are a good mix of par 3s, 4s and a few 5s, most holes still seem rather short. They do rent electronic bag carriers if you don't feel you're up to the carrying/walking challenge. A little bird also told us that if you go in the afternoon, sometimes they're lax with the extra fee if you would like to go around again. So maybe you'll get lucky and can play 18 for the small price of $12. read more

After undergoing a facelift in 2016, consisting of bulldozing the entirety of the course, Winter Park Country Club again provides an enjoyable 9 hole par 35 track that weaves around the oak lined trees of Webster Avenue. While the design remains the same (2 par 5's, 4 par 3's, 3 par 4's), the course update included enlarging and reshaping each of the nine greens, adding several new bunkers, fresh tee boxes, and clearing of shrubbery throughout the course. The result is a fresh look and healthy greens that makes for a fun afternoon regardless of whether you leave the woods in the car or attempt to drive each par four off the tee. Unfortunately, the course did increase the rate for play - $15.00/$17.00 (weekday/weekend) for residents and $17.00/$19.00 for non winter park residents. Replay is $7.00 for everyone. They do offer pull carts and a handful of electric golf carts for a small fee. The course has been consistently busy since reopening in the fall of 2016, with rounds typically taking between an hour and a half to two hours at most. Though short in distance and straightforward in design, Winter Park Country Club continues to shine 100+ years later with a refreshment that has only improved the playing experience. read more

4 stars for a fun 9 hole course. My wife and I have played a few rounds of golf with friends at some of the various courses around Orlando (mostly by Disney). While these courses have been fun, most of them are long 18 hole courses that often cause us to feel sore and tired near the end of the round. This past weekend, my wife and I decided to give the Winter Park County Club's golf course a try. Located in Winter Park a little northwest of Park Avenue, the WPCC is a 9 hole golf course that goes across several of the prettier sections of Winter Park (which unfortunately means it doesn't include a driving range). While it doesn't have online tee times that you sign up for, setting up a tee time via the telephone was fairly quick and harmless. We arrived at the course (there are 3 little buildings as the clubhouse, so be sure to go to the one closest to the course) and went inside to check-in. The friendly young lady checked us in, told us that we were teeing off after the guy currently outside on the hole (no starter person or chip to worry about) and then had us pay. It is only $12 (amazing!) for Winter Park residents and $10 a person to rent a cart (although it seemed like many of the players walked the court). We gladly paid this small amount, grabbed a quick drink, and went out to start up our round. While this course has a couple long Par 5s, it is mostly comprised of Par 3s and 4s. Most of the holes are pretty straightforward and well-kept, so it doesn't take long to go through all nine holes (we did in about 90 minutes). While there aren't quite what you would call cart paths to follow, there are some sidewalks and worn areas for you to drive your golf cart (and they don't mind you driving on the course in general). There isn't a beer girl on the course (at least that we saw) due to the course being so short, but there are plenty of shady places to park your cart while you wait to hit your tee shot. The putting greens were mostly well-kept (there was some strange white stuff on some of them) and ran at a pretty good speed. Finally, the tee box for the 9th hole is right by a practice putting green and a really nice building (lodge?), and it goes downhill for a fun finale to your day. Overall, the Winter Park County Club golf course is a fun 9 hole course that is well-kept, well-priced, well-paced, and makes for a great round of golf in a beautiful location. If you are looking to play some golf without driving to Disney or playing a full 18 holes, this course is a great one to check out. read more

It's a nice course in the middle of Winter Park. It's a country club but I was there with a friend and I saw a sign it was over a hundred years old. The gold shop was small but really nice with all the golf items you need. It's winter time and the fairways were a little brown it was well taken care of and the golf course was were nice. read more

This is a great little executive course. Not overly challenging for length but for those of you (like me) who aren't the straightest shooters it can be challenging. I specifically loved hole 4. It gave me all the fun and challenge of the bigger courses. The course is very reasonable priced. It is primarily a walking course and is well suited for that. My only detraction would be the constant traffic on the roads next to the fairways but that isn't so bad. read more

I love this course!! A fellow player invited me to play a couple of years ago and I have been coming here ever since, including in the summer. There are plenty of shade trees...I know, I hit them occasionally! The greens are always in good shape as is the rest of the course. The people are all so friendly and make you feel right at home the minute you walk in the Pro Shop. I now play with a group of ladies on Thursdays and am having the time of my life. Everyone is so much fun to play with. There are a few carts, but mostly all walk. There are a couple of holes, actually 3 & 4, that can be a real challenge, but are still fun to play. I hope you would join us on Thursdays and see just how much fun this group of ladies can be...and you surely don't have to have a low handicap.....most of us don't! Yes, I just love this course and the friendly people there. read more

I'm a visitor from out of state, and I'd say a pretty good golfer. Winter Park is not a difficult course to play, and it's not anything that you could compare to a really good golf track. When I played it, the greens on the front nine were not good. But I knew that coming in because of the statement online, and from behind the counter before I committed to playing the course. But what compelled me to play was the friendly staff. I know, it sounds weird. But, I just felt welcomed, they were genuine, and I thought to myself, "Why not!" For me, it was driver and lop wedge for the most-part, but I had fun out there - and my ego enjoyed it too! Most significantly, because of the friendless of the clubhouse and staff, this is the type of course that I would enjoy playing on a regular basis. This is the place that reminds me that golf doesn't always need to be challenging, just simply just needs to be fun. read more
