Wow! Dubsdread really took their golf range to a whole new level. The renovation is absolutely stunning and brought such a modern, elevated vibe to the entire experience. The new pavilion-style covered bays, enhanced lighting, and cozy lounge-style seating make practice so much more comfortable. I love the upgraded furniture, spacious layout, and overall high-tech feel. The monitor system and automatic ball dispenser are super easy to use--very sleek and efficient. Another huge plus: they now have a food court area that serves simple bites, snacks, and drinks. Super convenient when you're spending a couple of hours practicing. You can even order food and drinks straight from your bay, which makes the whole experience feel elevated and effortless. There's actually service now and staffs are great. Definitely nice service and worth the price. Plenty of open spots, great atmosphere, and a clean, well-designed space that shows they really invested in improving guest experience. Highly recommend checking out the new upgrades--Dubsdread absolutely nailed this renovation! read more

I was referred here by a long time resident of the area who spoke so highly of the Tap Room Restaurant I put it on my list. Have to admit, seeing a burger listed at $19 both lunch and dinner did make me pause in deciding to go, but seeing it was an award winning burger, I figured next time I am craving one I would consider it. Weeks later I was in the mood for an iron boost and decided to try it, price and all. I chose the Above Par and man was it ever. The bacon is thick and crispy, the goat cheese gushes open at your first bite and the mix of burger, fig jam, arugula, goat cheese and bacon is so flavorful I was so happy I came to visit. The restaurant overlooks the Golf course which seems really nice. The vibe reminded me of going to lunch with my Aunt at her country club in Rancho Santa Fe, CA. I sat outside and the ambiance, service and views were so relaxing, if I could have eaten more, I would have picked a dessert to extend my stay. Definitely going back. read more

I'm not a golfer by any means but I do come to support the annual OMYGA golf tournament. The OMYGA was founded by Dr TJ Dorsey Sr ( who is my boss's dad---Dr TJ Dorsey II). Orlando Minority Youth Golf Association empowers minority youth through the game of golf developing life skills and discipline that go way beyond the green. It's a program that's been around for 30 years now and held at Dubsdread Golf Course. Myself and other members from my office support this yearly event raising money with 100% proceeds going straight to the program. I love that this takes place here at Dubsdread. It's a beautiful manicured course and everyone here is so friendly and hospitable. We have such great time everytime we go. read more

I'm proud to say this is my home course and can always expect it to be in great condition! My last round was no different and continues to be one of the best values, especially for an early morning round. The new driving range and service station is an awesome addition and much needed. This course continues to be a true gem! read more

A fun experience for all ages and all different levels of experiences!! Came here for the first time the other day, and I can't wait to come back again to golf. This is definitely a place you can get friends together to go play a round of golf. read more

Nice driving range with covered with track man in each bay. A nice practice area, good service from the staff. The houses are very close to the course. Tee boxes weren't in the best shape for the price. Fairways were fine. I would return to this course. read more

Another wonderful meal at Dubsdread! My husband and and sister and law loved the crunchy, flavorable fish and chips. My sister and I split the lollipop lamb chops which were cooked to a perfect temperature. I loved the quinoa mix(it's cold btw) and the heirloom carrots were crisp but not too much so. My sister liked her risotto. Everyone was happy and full. The service was fast and friendly and the ambience is gorgeous. Beautiful dark would, view of the golf course and sunset colors plus tvs for the sport lovers. Do t miss the fun fire pit outside and the porch if the weather is good. Great place! We will be back!! read more

I try to stay out of controversy, but I feel like I had to speak up about my experience at my local golf course today. We need to be better. I'd like to start by saying that I have played at Dubsdread probably 5-10 times, and practiced on multiple occasions. My family and I also enjoy the Tap Room, the adjacent restaurant (no golf course affiliation). I recently moved here from New York City, where Bethpage was my former home track. They were also professional, and courteous to all golfers. This isn't the first instance of blatant ignorance I've seen by a starter or course employee at this and other golf courses. It's this type of behavior which is killing the game. I played as a single and had a mid morning tee time. Upon approaching the tee, I noticed 3 other golfers who were Korean ladies, dressed up and looking excited to play; so was I. I informed the starter of my time, and he says "you're going to be playing with those 3 on the tee", and pointed. I said "OK". His response is what was alarming, "you can play with them, or wait and play with the next group, but I'm not sure if they have room". I proceeded to ask what was going on and told him surely he must be full today, trying to get him to elaborate on his suggestion. It was clear that he was stereotyping my playing companions because of 1 of 2, or both reasons. 1. They are women, and must either be slow or poor players, or both. 2. They are Asian, so either of the above as well. There is a general stereotype of Asian golfers and females which exists amongst the white community. I know this because as a scratch golfer who has traveled to play the game, I have heard it, and still hear it today. White people don't have an issue saying this. At Dubsdread today, it was on full display. The cherry on top, is that the lovely Korean ladies who I played with were good, fast paced, and waiting for the group ahead of us on every shot. In fact, the group ahead of us was a hole and a half behind. I asked the ranger who was speaking to them by first name when we were waiting on the tee, if he asked them to speed up. He said no, he didn't see any reason to. They were older, regulars, and white, of course. So, we go from being suggested that we should change groups because of racist/sexist/mysoganist/ignorant behavior, and the employees who are supposed to be enforcing the issues, choose not to unless there seems to be race or sex (thus threats to a white golf community) involved. In a game where inclusion and diversity couldn't be needed more and is more exciting then ever as a result, Dubsdread showed me today that they absolutely suck at all of this. As a father of two girls and a business owner, I pray to God they won't ever encounter this treatment while learning to play this great game. Left after 9, as the ranger seemed uninterested in anything. read more

Playing Spark Ladies League for the first time this year and I am loving it. 9 holes after 5p every Wednesday. Play is optional each week which is nice for a busy schedule. Spark is independently owned and has nothing to do with the golf course, but I love that Dubsdread loves working with them. The new golf carts (May 2023) are awesome too. read more

In Orlando for the weekend and was just looking to play a round. I can't believe how lucky I got finding Dubs! The course is in great shape and a lot of fun to play. I love the history behind the course and playing it feels a bit nostalgic, if that makes sense. The staff, from the pro shop to the starters/cart girls to the Tap Room were great. Friendly and accommodating! I may be back tomorrow!!!! read more

Pretty decent course conditions today. Weather was warm so that was nice. My biggest complaint about this place is the short yardage. Around 6k yards if I'm correct. I was able to play 18 in just over 4hrs due to being placed with a group ‍. I should've just taken my PW 7 5 4 & my putter because that's all I really used. I did like the price for what I get here though & driving range balls were included in the tee fee. read more

As a small business owner, I try to avoid using 3rd party booking sites because I know they are taking the money directly from the business by taking a cut. Many people use 3rd parties like Golf Now or Tee Off to book. I do not. I went on historicaldubsdred.com to look at tee times and pricing. I decided to not make a tee time because I wanted to grab lunch and did not want to feel rushed or cause problems for the starter by booking online and then not being able to make the time. There were several times around 12:30 pm open for a single golfer. I walked into the pro shop knowing historicaldubsdred.com said the round would be $41 for a resident for 18 holes + a small bucket of balls. This is Dubsdred's own website. When I went to pay, I was told it was $53 for 18 holes. I asked the gentlemen working there if I could get the resident rate and he looked at another person working there who stated "No, we dont honor the golf now rate inside the pro shop. I mentioned that I saw the $41 price on their own website and the guy again mentioned GolfNow. So, I just shut up and paid $53 in cash. To get the range balls? That would be another fee. No golf course or business should ever be giving everyone 3rd party site promotional rates to anyone who asks for them as they would be out of business, but an alignment between the rates you charge people who walk in and what your own website states is business 101. The course was in very good condition and a fun lay out. This course has an old school muni vibe and has a lot of people who love the game hanging around on the range who live in the College Park area. The greens were rolling around a 9.5 and in good shape. I would recommend the course overall, but this review covers the business itself, as that is what Yelp is. Make sure you book online. read more

This was our second time here. We had the same issue both times. Food was outstanding; service was lacking. We made reservations in advance so we would not have a long wait. We ended up waiting for about 30 minutes. So, the manager nicely offered us a round of drinks on them. We were happy with that until it took 15 minutes to receive our drinks. We finally ordered our Magical Dining meals--appetizers, entrees, and dessert. It took an extremely long time to receive our appetizers, which were flatbreads and seared tuna. Then, our entrees came out about 45 minutes later (wow, talk about a long wait), which were amazing, but one of them was the wrong entree, which they fixed, but that person had to sit and watch us eat for far too long. We ordered drinks with our desserts, but the server completely forgot to put them in, so we cancelled those. When I went to the restroom, there was even 2 women complaining about their service and wait time. The manager told us that they were so busy and slow due to Magical Dining, however the first time we went here was not during Magical Dining and we had the same sort of experience with service. It was super slow and chaotic both times. The manager ended up comping our entire meal. She was very professional and understood our concerns. But for some reason, with all of the separate issues we had, they just couldn't fix this experience for us. Thus, she felt comping it was necessary. It was appreciated. The food at this restaurant is on-point. It was beautifully plated and cooked perfectly. The service both times, though, has made the overall experience horrendous. read more

Dubsdread golf course is a beautiful course not far from College Park. I went here for the Epic Golf event series the course holds monthly. I went and tried the Yoga, Golf & Mimosa event held one Sunday a month. You get to have a great yoga class right on the green! They also have little putting contests and then you have the opportunity to get on the driving range. Great spin on the classic brunch and workout. The golf course is kept up very nicely and staff was really friendly! Def going to explore the clinics and golf lessons they have available to improve my not so existing game! read more

Super friendly staff. Prices vary throughout the week and based on tee time. They keep a tight schedule. The course is short and straight and fun. Lost a few balls in the neighbors' yards. Oops. But didn't do too poorly overall. Course is well maintained and people are respectful. Carts are cool. They have electronic info on an iPad that tells you distances and where to go etc. but beware! If you get off course it will shut down! Haha. You can't drive the cart anywhere you want. You must follow the rules and the cart path. Bathrooms along the course are clean, spacious and have all the necessary amenities. I did not try the range. There were classes going on for kids. They have a lesson package for $179 for 5 lessons won 5 rounds and some other goodies. What a deal! Can't wait to come back and golf again. They have an event coming up in February. Teams of four golf at night for charity. What a cool place! read more

Expensive everything. 9, 18, food, drinks, buckets, etc. this isnt a bad thing but considering the grass is rarely in great condition, its just not for me. Ill play it occasionally because it is a challenging course. But its not a great practice spot or a spot to frequent for me. Also the chipping green is super small and massively slanted so it isnt great for practice but the putting green is large and great. Driving area is ok. Grass is awful but they have tiny tee pads in the back. Tough to track your shots and yardages because they're is a massive pong in the middle. Range balls 6/8/10 dollars (pricey) 9/18 = 38$/45$ (ish. Pricey. Always) read more

You can't beat Dubsdread's value / location / conditioning relative to other courses in town. It's the closest course to downtown and gets an insane amount of traffic yet it's always in great shape. The course is tight which presents fun challenges - long hitters only benefit from driver on 2, 14, 16, 17, and 18. I hated this course before I started playing it regularly, and the more I play it the more I love it. read more

Excellent Golf course & all facilities. Complete Pro shop & good restaurant. Family environment.

Came down here to golf on vacation with my Family. The course was decent and was challenging. The rental clubs were nice and the carts were comfortable. Everything was great except for the person working the counter in the pro shop. When talking with the black guy behind the counter he was very condescending and treated us like dirt. He was rude and treated his co-workers like crap, it literally ruined the first 9 for us. Why would anyone hire someone like this to work the counter as the first thing you see representing your course? read more

Went here for lunch to celebrate a co-workers birthday. They offer complimentary valet parking; however, we decided to self park. I was very impressed with it being lunchtime that we were able to find a close parking space and seated within five minutes for a party of four. Since it was a beautiful day out, we chose to sit on the patio with a great view of the golf course. Our drinks were ordered as we perused the menu. I decided on the Rachel. It's a sandwich with pastrami and cole slaw. I couldn't decide if I wanted fries or onion rings, the server suggested a combo of fries and onion rings; what a great option. While we were waiting for our entrees, three more coworkers decided to join us. So that meant we needed a larger table and it was pretty crowded. However, our server within minutes found a larger table to fit everyone. My Rachel, the sandwich, was quite tasty as were the fries and onion rings. What a great idea! Coleslaw on a sandwich. The service was great as was the atmosphere. I would suggest if you go during lunch, don't be in a rush; you'll want to sit and enjoy your meal and the scenery. As for the price, with it being lunch; I thought maybe nothing over $10. However, with it being in the location it is and on a golf course, I should've expected it. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Thanks Dubsdread! read more

Nice little course that still provides for an enjoyable, but challenging, round nearly 100 years later. While the course jtself is just over 6,100 from the tips, each shot requires planning and execution to post a good score. There are tight fairways, several canals, and occasional twists and turns that make can turn a scorecard into something embarrassing. The course does play easier from the up tees, so it is still enjoyable for the higher handicap players. Dubsdread golf course is always maintained in good condition. The fairways and tee boxes are always nicer While the greens always present nicely from a distance, they are inconsistently shortened and rolled, sometimes making for an annoying round on the greens. There is a Aqua range for warming up or practice, and a large putting green to work on the putting stroke. They also have the dubsdread tap house a few steps from the main club house which has great food and good beers for after the round. Overall, dubsdread is one of the few remaining public courses in the north orlando area. It provides a good challenge and always is maintained well. While you will not pay resort prices, they occasionally do get pricey but nothing too unreasonable. I would not hesitate to recommend dubsdread if looking for a unique course to play in the north orlando area. read more

A decent course, certainly not easy, but not 'stunning'. It's condition and difficulty is definitely in line with a typical muni. Played here several months ago, and haven't had any desire to head back her since. However, I now work near here, so as the sun starts setting later, I imagine I'll make many an appearance here post-work. ... Played here yesterday, and the fairways were rock-hard. Really no desire to return, but I'm a snob about course-manicuring. Orange County residents can play Dubsdread for $41 on weekends right now (cart included), or Orange County National for $59 (cart included), so that's what I'm basing this review on. Orange County is a ton better course, especially in terms of 'manicuring'. But I also VERY MUCH understand that when the average worker is already spending nearly half their daily after-tax income to play a round of golf, that extra $18 really does matter. Also, as a final reminder, if you become a 'Premium Passholder' at Disney World for ~ $40 / month, you can play UNLIMITED at their 9-hole walking course, Oak Trail. A phenomenal deal for Central Florida golfers. read more
