I used the resortpass to help plan the best daycation at the pool and cabanas at The Ritz Carlton Orlando Resort. The cabana was absolutely beautiful and very accommodating fully finished with stocked mini fridge, tv, daybed, 4 lounge chairs, ample seating, and towels. We had a pool attendant who took excellent care of us and made sure we never went hungry. The resort pass day pass for the cabana included chip, guacamole, salsa and a fruit platter which was almost too beautiful to eat. Although the fridge came stocked with water and beverages we decided to add on nonalcoholic piña coladas and strawberry daiquiris to quench our thirst. They were so delicious! Later in the day we ordered chicken wings, a chicken quesadilla, and cheese burgers and fries. It's hard to believe that the cheese burger came from the pool restaurant, it was excellent!! The entire facility is clean, and the staff are friendly and outgoing. The day I got to play this course it was cart path only due to all the rain so to keep this course nice we couldn't drive on the fairways. I got to do a lot of walking and to see a lot of the course. Hope to get to play it again when I can drive on the fairways. Come play here if you get the chance.

Pace of play was solid, even considering Cart Path Only due to all the rain they've received over the past couple weeks, but that's really not their fault. The conditions are nearly immaculate even with the rain. There's maintenance folks doing work all over the place and it really shows! They have everything you need in the clubhouse along with sale prices on some cool gear (Adidas and FJ to name a few)! Overall, a top spot in the area and I see why they have the ratings they do. The resort has so much to offer, including a gorgeous golf course, a volleyball court, and three swimming areas. When we first arrived, we spent some time walking around the property and taking in everything. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The location is also a huge plus. It's not far from Universal Studios, and if you don't have a car, an Uber or Lyft is an easy and inexpensive option. There are several restaurants on the property. The food was decent, although the prices were a little high--which I guess is to be expected at a hotel resort. One of my favorite surprises was the 24-hour shopping area on the ground floor near the pool. It was so convenient because they had pretty much anything you could need during your stay. And the pizza there was actually really good! Our room was clean, smelled fresh, and was perfectly fine for what we needed. Nothing over-the-top, but comfortable and well maintained. The staff, however, really stood out. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the stay even better. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, especially if we're taking another cruise out of Orlando. It's a convenient location, beautiful property, friendly staff, and a great place to spend a night or two before your cruise.

I recently learned about the sport of foot golf and - as a (below average) soccer player in my…read moreyouth - I was intrigued. So, when my fiance and I learned that Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course had a foot golf course available, we hurried to make reservations! My fiance played "regular" golf while I played foot golf. This is not normally permitted, but since the cast member over the telephone provided us with incorrect information, we were allowed to combine the two during our visit (Disney's top rate with their customer service!). Since the state of Florida is still in the middle of phased re-opening during the COVID-19 pandemic, all cast members wore masks and alerted us that the water fountains were not in service during our visit. Disney's Oak trail is a "walking" (no golf carts allowed) 9-hole course (they accommodate 18 holes during tournaments) with "regular" golf holes denoted with blue flags and foot golf holes denoted with orange flags. The cast member at the beginning of the course explained the layout of the course, where to find each tee off point for each form of golf and provided us with maps, scorecards and cute little pencils. Since my fiance and I are Platinum Disney annual pass holders, we didn't have to pay to play, but ordinarily, the cost (between 04/06/2020 - 07/02/2020) is $25 USD per adult and between $15 USD and $19 USD for anyone under 18. Between 07/03/2020 and 10/01/2020, the cost will be between $19 USD and $29 USD per adult and $15 USD for anyone under 18. My fiance and I had a great time and definitely play to return. We saw many families and people of all ages coming out to the course and most of them were apparently regular foot golf aficionados that frequent the course. So, if you're curious about foot golf or just want to practice your "regular" golf skills, give Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course a try.

The rangers will come out to tell you to play faster but ignore the slow players in front of you. This course also caters to players who have never played before so the odds of getting hit by an errant shot are extremely high. The course itself is also poorly maintained. There is no sand in the bunkers and there is no difference between the rough and the fairway.

Right across from the Polynesian Tower and practically neighbors with Magic Kingdom, this course is a dream come true. The Course: It's stunning. Every hole offers scenic views, towering trees, and greens that roll like butter -- but don't let the charm fool you. Mickey didn't skip the challenge when designing this layout. Magnolia brings the magic and the muscle. They've also added a new back-nine challenge called the "Grumpy Gauntlet" (holes 14-18), a stretch that features: * Two beast-mode par 5s * A slick par 3 * A long, demanding par 4 to close it all out Think of it as the final boss battle of Disney golf. Tee Time & Cast Member Rate: We booked the Cast Member rate of $45, which needs to be secured two days in advance. I lucked out with a 6:30 AM tee time -- yes, it's still 80+ degrees at sunrise in Florida -- but totally worth it to avoid the midday melt. You can also grab a $30 afternoon rate, but prepare for the heatwave. I got there around 6:00 AM, warmed up with a bucket of range balls (included!), and practiced a few putts before teeing off. That little warm-up made all the difference. Magical Moment: On the 12th hole, I flushed a 7-iron that landed about 5 feet from the pin -- drained the birdie putt and felt like I won the Masters. My friends used the club house for the reception and it was just perfect. It was big enough that there was room for tables and a huge dance floor which is exactly what they wanted. There is a bar in the club house as well which serves food along with drinks. There was a pool by the lake and an out door dining area. I didn't deal with staff or the bar since I was there for a ceremony that had outside catering but the facilities were beautiful and well kept. Also there were lots of plants and a garden area which is where the wedding was held.
