Range balls are very reasonably priced - I got a jumbo bucket for $12 last time I went and was hitting for over an hour. Staff were friendly. I played the ruby tees which were nearly 5200 yds which is a good distance. Lots of water on this one although I only put one ball in. The sand didn't seem to be a major factor either. Price was reasonable. As a twosome, we played with two singles, one local and one who was visiting but had played the course several times. They were very nice people to play with and the staff was also friendly. We split a medium bucket of balls to warm up. The driving range used mats for hitting. Balls were not included in green fees.

Spend money on rocket yard markers on range and robot mowers but can't hire a superintendent or a real golf pro? No amount of white paint could mark all the ground under repair. The people do their best I suppose. Always nice staff. But back office is hitting it OB on how they are managing the place. Charging way more than other courses in the area. 62 for green fees and cart. As a retired active duty guy. I pay less for better across the bridge. The pro shop looked like it had some new stuff but whoever is their buyer is not tied into trends. Always a few trends behind. Oh and no hookup on clubs with manufacturers' military programs. Have to buy through the website. Check out my photo I marked the ground under repair.

Felt like I was hitting off ground, not grass, most of the round. Their forward tees were around 4900 yds with a combo being even shorter than that. Very flat with several water holes. Large sand traps might have one rake. Greens were super fast and quite undulated. They were so dry that you barely touched the ball and it went quite far. Hard to chip and stay on the greens. The ball rolled forever in fairway and on greens. We played super fast, around 3.5 hours. My kind of golf. Would have loved to give a higher rating but the course was in such poor shape.

4 stars for a solid Par 3 golf course…read more Whenever I'm trying to get in a quick 9 with the family or work on the short game, I head over to Willow Lakes. Located off US 1 near 46 in Mims, this RV resort has a 9 hole golf course that is generally kept in pretty good shape. I arrived with the family recently to play 9. While you can book on GolfNow for a couple bucks less if you prepay, it is easier generally to walk in. The reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is 1) I've had to wait for a while for an attendant on days where nobody else is playing, and 2) $22 for 9 holes with IDP nearby for 9 full holes at $25 means the prices here are a little higher than one would expect. Neither of these issues take away from the friendly service you do get when checking in, fun holes like the 4th hole that goes over water, and greens that are generally in solid shape. Overall, Willow Lakes provides a nice place for beginners, families, and those working on their short game to grab a quick round.

They had a couple signature holes that were fun, almost island greens, or at least they looked like islands from the fairway. We will be back to play this course.
