My husband needed hospice care and Tranquility Sands was there in June. Within 4 hours, the owner Tristan, had a breathing machine and bed set up for him in a house in Palm Desert. Howard transported Dean from Eisenhower to the hospice home. The care was outstanding. My husband was kept extremely comfortable in his short stay there. Betty, their grief counselor has visited me a couple times to see how I was doing. The hospice home was clean, comfortable and quiet, things I wanted to provide my husband in his last days. I had a great deal of peace knowing his heart was happy. My daughter, an Eisenhower nurse knows Tristan and his work, that in itself helped guide me and I did not look at any other facilities. I highly recommend Tranquility Sands to care for your loved ones. When my father was in the hospital, I didn't realize that I would need to pick a hospice in order to get my father released due to his condition. Thankfully I had some really nice nurses guide me and provide me a list. I reviewed all of the local ones in my area, because I didn't think it made much sense to pick an organization that was centralized out of our service area. I had notified the case worker around 4:30 in the afternoon thinking that I wouldn't hear anything till at least the following day. It was 5 o'clock and I already had a phone call from them and within minutes 2 representatives were meeting up with me at Eisenhower. While a parking lot visit, I felt immediately comfortable with Howard and his colleague. The fact that this business was started by Nurses was comforting and their mission to make hospice better was so good to hear. They started in immediately on getting everything started. They arranged for the transportation for my dad to get him back to assisted living. They started bringing in all the equipment that he would need and set up his weekly schedule for someone to come in and make sure my dad was bathed and in doing well. They did so much in such a short period of time, as well as making me and my father feel comfortable. They were very responsive when my dad or I would call them. Unfortunately, my father passed away 4-days after he was released from the hospital. Unexpectedly based on my dads condition, being incurable but there didn't seem to be any immediate concerns and the hospice was mainly set up to facilitate his treatment needs due to COPD to keep him from having to go back to the hospital which didn't have any additional treatment options and to make him comfortable. I digress, but during this process they helped to guide me in making additional choices in the event of his passing as well. The chaplain came to visit my dad and again very responsive when it comes to answering the phone and responding to requests for visits. When my dad passed Howard and the Chaplain were on seen quickly and really was there to provide me support and guidance. The fact that Howard himself had a moment of just incomprehension shows me the level of care they all personally have for their patients even though it only had been a few days. Meeting him and Tristan like I did made me feel like I had known them for a long time. That's important to feel when your entrusting your loved ones to anyone's care. Overall with there responsiveness and their level of compassion and care makes me highly recommend them. While I wasn't really able to evaluate long-term services, those are the major components of what you would want in a hospice care with your loved ones. Howard was so patient with my dad when he could be a handful with things. So that was so important to me the respect that they gave my dad. They have been with me through this journey checking in with me and continuing to follow through to ensure I had what I need too. I hope this review helps. It's still difficult to put into words events that occurred around my father's passing. While Trinity Sands was only involved for such a short time physically I know that if I need them as I still process through my grieving, they are there is I need them. read more

I truly believe that Tranquility Sands Hospice was the perfect match for my family. My husband had been battling cancer since 2018. After a long hard journey, his cancer team advised us that all avenues to extend his life had ended and that his body was exhausted. The time had come for hospice. The fist hospice I had looked into, from the list provided to me by the hospital, was Tranquility Sands Hospice. It was rated 5 stars and all the reviews were wonderful. After checking all the other providers on the list, none of the reviews came close to Tranquility Sands. So I chose them. I feel it was fate that I did! Celina & Howard arrived at the hospital to make arrangements for my husband's care & hospital discharge. Immediately, my husband and I got a sense of comfort and relief by their presence. I was unaware that the hospital was wanting to discharge my husband immediately. My home as well as myself and family, were not ready to receive my husband and all the equipment we would need to have him return home. We needed time to rearrange furniture and prepare a room for my husband. Celina & Howard could see how incredibly stressed and panicked I was, and they immediately began to advocate for my husband and I with the hospital. They were able to arrange to have my husband discharged the following day, so we could get our house in order. One of the wonderful aspects of Tranquility Sands, is that everyone they use is local. The equipment company, the pharmacy, their employees. This makes for incredibly prompt service. The equipment company is local, professional, fast, friendly and compassionate. The pharmacy used to deliver medications to our home is also local, professional, fast, and friendly. The staff at Tranquility Sands was more than I could ever ask for. Tristan and his team provided us with so much support. The information and care provided to my husband and family helped us navigate our care and what to be prepared for, each step of the way. Maria would always take such wonderful care of my husband in helping us with his bathing and grooming. Most of all Tristan, and his team worked tirelessly to keep my husband comfortable, from day one until in his final weeks and days. The whole team became like an extension of our family. When my husband passed in the early morning hours, Howard was there to help us with everything. All the calls that needed to be made, as well as comforting us in our loss. He was truly compassionate and supportive. Tranquility Sands took care of everything for us so we could focus on grieving and saying our goodbyes before the mortuary came for my husband. Tristan continues to check on my daughter and I, to see that we are okay. I wanted to express a heartfelt thank you to the team at Tranquility Sands Hospice. The nurses and Doctors were exceptional throughout the entire time they provided service. Their equipment was in new and excellent condition. Their supply was more than adequate and of high quality products. The bathing aides, Chaplain, and Social Worker were all highly experienced and attentive to my clients and staff. Communication was effortless and I always got help when I called them. They are 100% professional, caring, and resourceful. I highly recommend you do your homework when choosing a hospice, palliative team, rehab hospital or assisted living. Many of them offer the same services but they do not all treat our loved ones with the dignity and respect they deserve. Listen to your gut, don't be afraid to ask questions. You are so vulnerable and can feel so helpless when you are dealing with a loved one who has a terminal illness and/or needs assistance with daily living. Thanks to their attentive nursing staff, she was able to reduce some of her meds and get her care needs met no problem, significantly improving her quality of life and removing the usual battle for care from Kaiser. It was a great relief to have the Tranquility Sands' team of nurses, doctors and personal care staff looking after my mom. Tristan and staff helped my family during the hardest time in our life. Last April my father was declining extremely fast. He had congestive heart failure. He was admitted to the hospital after a fall where he was also diagnosed with Alzheimer's. We knew we were going to need to bring him home, or find a facility to help us. This is when we were referred to Tranquility. It was such a hard decision to use "hospice" because , at first we thought that meant we were "giving up" on my dad. But, Tristan and Patrick visited my parents' home and were immediately felt at ease with the decision. Within a few hours, the hospital bed and all necessary equipment was delivered to the house. It was so comforting to know there was a team of professionals to counsel us and aid us during this time. I thought it was amazing that they were also very concerned about my elderly mom and her emotional and physical health. They recognized that she was struggling and recommended resources and guidance for her as well . The next month was very difficult. Tristan and staff were at the house often. They gently guided us through my dad's final moments. They made sure my dad was comfortable and helped us feel at peace with how he passed. For approximately the last 8 months, our ailing father was under the care of the Tranquility Sands Hospice team. During that time we have found them to be very responsive in addressing our concerns but more importantly addressing our father's needs. They were readily available at all hours. Tranquility Sands Hospice was extremely responsive in providing the necessary medicine and equipment when needed. When our father needed new prescriptions or equipment, they would arrive very quickly. They really care about their patients. We especially like how they do business. Losing a loved one is really hard especially when they have had cancer for over nine years.
